God is not a respecter of persons, but its a respecter of conditions.

Some people allow for the conditions for good things to happen more than others. If you don't allow the conditions for good things to happen by how you relate with the rest of existence, it only leaves one other possibility.

God is impartial and loves every human being. But some have cut themselves off from his special blessings by denying his existence or denying that they are accountable to God

As we are all flawed and in need of a Saviour the eternal future of those who dismiss God looks very bleak indeed according to Biblical teaching, for we need to receive forgiveness and eternal life by trusting faith and obedience to the way of life that Jesus taught. It is a life of love, firstly towards God and secondly towards all people. (I would exclude very evil brutal people, but they are not common I believe)

True Christian and Godly Love is not a sentimental, gooey, tolerant kind! Though deeply compassionate, it recognises that some will miss God's Love and sadly will meet his condemning Judgement instead.

Those who have been saved by Grace will be judged for rewards, for Jesus said -

"In my Father's house are many mansions, I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am you may be also." This indicates, along with other relevant scriptures, that there will be different levels in the quality of the heavenly Life.

Just answering this: "Do you believe that The Bible God Loves all Humans or all Christians equally, or are some loved more or less? John 3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. The Eternal, Sovereign, Holy, True And Living GOD IS IMPARTIAL. It is NOT POSSIBLE for Him To Love one person more than another, Christian or not.

Romans 2

Amplified Bible (AMP)

11For God shows no partiality [[a]undue favor or unfairness; with Him one man is not different from another]. +++"God is No Respecter of Persons

When the first Gentile was converted to Christianity, the apostle Peter perceived that “God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him” (Acts 10:34-35). Before the church was established and Gentiles began to be converted to Christ, many Jews supposed that God favored them over all other ethnic groups; some had the false notion that merely being Jewish was a sure sign that one was saved (Matthew 3:9; Luke 3:8; 7:30).

When the religious barrier between Jews and Gentiles was broken down, Peter more fully understood one important aspect of God’s character: He does not favor—and never has favored—one person or group of people over others. Whether or not the Israelites always understood it, anyone who obeys God’s commands can be justified in His sight. Consider a sampling of the passages that emphasize God’s fairness toward all humans:

2 Chronicles 19:7: “Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.”

Job 34:19: “Yet He is not partial to princes, nor does He regard the rich more than the poor; for they are all the work of His hands.”

Romans 2:10-11: “[B]ut glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God.”

Galatians 5:6: “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision or uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.”

1 Peter 1:17: “And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear.”

Too long to read but I'll answer your first question. Book of Sirach, in the Catholic bibles, states that God hates sinners. Not just their sins. Since atheists hate God, why wouldn't He hate them? God doesn't take preference. But He has chosen people. They were the Hebrews/Jews. Now they are the followers of the Messiah. There is over 2000 denominations in Christianity. Only a few are true followers of the true Messiah. Others follow man.

God is like a parent. He loves all of his children, however he has a better relationship with some than with others. This is largely based on how willing the child is to be related to. Like all parents, God has a special longing in his heart for the one who is hell bent on self destruction.

A. We know God loves the world not only through John 3:16 but such verses like Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

B. God loves both the world and Christians. It is no more contradictory than you liking mocha almod fudge ice cream and also lobster. The 2 have very different tastes. Or perhaps loving a child that is a drug addict and one that is an over-acheiver. You are certainly going to treat them different and one may end up dead. (but that is not to imply that we are all children of God, its just a limited analogy)

C. God has a special relationship with believers. Christians are after all just sinners as well, but they have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit, and trying to seek Gods will and pleasure. Atheists have also been given the chance to accept Gods grace but they reject it. So the question is: Does God love a person less that has rejected him and his grace?

The answer isnt so simple. I used to be an atheist but God was patient with me and when I was ready, he reached out to me and I finally accepted!! I think based on what Scripture writes, is that God is loving to all. He sends the rain on both the righteous and unrighteous. Both get clothed, fed, have heaters, cadillacs, parks to walk in, etc etc. But more importantly, BOTH ARE OFFERED GODS GRACE. Therefore it can be said that he is being kind and loving to both. Those who choose to accept it are blessed and recieve more. Those who reject it are cursed. Just as you are loving for offering to help a junkie child that refuses your love.

God loves His creation because God can separate you from your sins. God loves you and not your sins.

The Light came into the world but men loved darkness rather than light.

I fully understand that atheists have chosen to reject the God who loves everybody and created everybody and died for everybody. God could have taken out Satan, but God even let Satan see the unveiling of the Sons of God which will come. Satan thinks he is right, but God knows that His way is always right and He even cares enough about Satan to prove Satan wrong and let Satan be the leader of this world until Christ returns. Evil begets evil. Righteousness begets righteousness. Only Christ is righteous and He freely gives His righteousness to those who believe in Him.

Well, we have 1. the original mss (lost forever) I guess they never change, although we'll never know what they said). 2. Copies of mss (Some scholarship sheds light on which are closer to the original (#1), but we really don't know. If you think we do, just take a look at some of the attacks by one group against mss they don't happen to like. 3. Translations. Paraphrases and translations are the same, since it's impossible to render a translation with perfect dynamic equivalence or literal equivalence or whatever. 4. Interpretations. The selfsame words can be understood differently by different people, based on their preexisting underlying assumptions. 5. Progressive revelation. The observation that as we find out stuff, we revise our understanding of what scripture actually says. Two hundred years ago, it was a given in most churches that the Scriptures upheld slavery; today, hardly anyone would take that position. So what changes? What stays the same? Ask any number of people, and you will get different "sincere" answers. We have no mechanism to help Joe Q. Average to think it through. He might not get a perfect result, but he will get a better result.

You have choice to believe what you will. God gives us that right, but He is condemned by no man/woman.

Whether you believe He (God) is or not, is of no consequences to God.

Everyone have accountability to Him (God) because we all are going to leave this earth. (Romans 14:11,12) The unknown is a whooper, huh? to those that are lost and have no direction from God.

I'd rather have God, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit to indwell me and guide me while I am here on earth, so if there is no God or a God, I would have lived a righteous life for my betterment, and I would be given by God a good report. He will say to me, "Well done my good and faithful servant. (Matthew 25:21,23) You were faithful on earth with what I gave you, now I (God) will give you the Kingdom of Heaven." I will also get to live with God for eternity. That is a three-fold blessing!

Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-christ, that deny the Father (God) and the Son (Jesus); (1 John 3:22)

I believe we are all for the Almighty Father's glory. The wicked are for wrecking and are not loved but left to their own selfish desires. Those the Almighty Father loves are disciplined to bring out the character He cares for that will bring the world into an age of peace. Life is certainly a trial under fire. Only those that persevere will be accepted into His Kingdom.

King James Version (KJV)

2 Peter 3

1This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

you have not defined love and seem to imply that a God who loves all cannot condemn those who he loves as if those saved and not saved are the loved and the unloved. Jesus equates himself to being equal with the Father and we can look a bit to the Father. His self defining statement is when he passed by Moses and reveals his glory ...Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.

This verse also divides people into two groups those who have attained mercy and those who have not. The mercy throughout scripture is attained through repentance and not works. God loved us while we were sinners and condemned and offers the bond of salvation and adoption to all. As we see in Colosians 1 .For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

You see the pool of men all condemned through sin God has reached in and offered salvation to all; God did give man free will and a world in which context and consequences for choices exist. The Lord loved those who perished and the condemnation was universal and just; this makes the gift of salvation so much more glorious. This choice is there for you and waiting right now. If God invites you to be saved through his love and you reject how is separation not just?

Lets see and read the bible verses "around" John 3:16 keeping bible verses "in context"

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

God's Love is not the question "Our Love" is the question,

John 14:15 "IF" You Love me [then] keep my commandments, God's Love tested and proven, but Love in order to be Love "Must" have the power to say NO. Its a Choice thing.

Moody's action is suspicious, for someone who supposedly holds that the bible is the sole authority on matters of faith. It's hypocritical to go around changing it.

You're absolutely right to say that a fictional -idea- of the love of God has been at work in much of human society. Regardless, none of this justifies the atheist's position, or even the deist's position.

God's "love" for everyone was, in the original Greek, actually "agape." It means that he cares about them and wants what's best for them. This does not mean that he likes them just fine already and that nothing further is needed from them; much the reverse, in fact. The statement that because God loves us, we don't need anything else is false, no matter who says it.

God's love for everyone can be justified quite easily by simply saying that human beings and their actions are not one and the same. Therefore, God can -love not- the work of evildoers, while still caring for the evildoers, just enough to wish they would turn from their evil ways and follow him. This is the true notion of the love of God; always hating sin, and always seeking the true well-being of sinners; that they would turn from their sin and be healed.
2012-03-17 05:14:59 UTC
The LORD God shows us in His inspired word that He does not want to lose anyone and that there is joy in heaven for a sinner who repents. But the LORD God and His son Jesus are not going to force anyone to be faithful and obedient, it has to be voluntary. This is why we are made with the possibility of sin. God does not want automatons but those who want to be His.

We are told that God is calling out a people for His name but if we wish to be of that number we must show our love for God and His son, read God's inspired word and try to live it as well as we can. There are great promises involved.

Although Jesus used the term 'dogs' of this Canaanitish woman it was to stir her into her answer which was good. This was a conversation about Jews, Gentiles and in effect salvation.

God IS love. The act of sending his only begotten son to die in our place is all the love we need.

How could you possibly interpret 3:17 as removing what DL Moody said? God loves everyone and has done everything that needs to be done to restore everyone to relationship with him. Now the ball is in your court. Will you believe what he has said and done, or will you reject him?

John 3:16-21 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who BELIEVES in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who BELIEVES in him. But anyone who does not BELIEVE in him has already been judged for not BELIEVING in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

You question carries an attribute that the scientific community defines as altruism. Unfortunately its impossible to know what God believes because the only evidence of his existence is biblical scripture of an unverifiable source which cannot be verified as fact, and there are no reasonable explanations of his actual existence. Because we are social by nature the scientific concept of altruism applies. It's our responsibility to treat others the way we would want to be treated regardless of belief, race or creed.

I do believe that God places more blessings on those who work hard and constantly in his Name and Honor. But it can serve here on earth as a measure of someone's life who goes way beyond God's normal calling of a person...that person needs to be truly blessed beyond measure and I would not be the least offended...

So, Moody, who brought many to a saving faith in the LORD Jesus Christ is a false prophet, but you who ridicule and criticize him are saving people from ...what exactly?

I always start with the assumption that we all were going to hell based on our own sinful state of being...and Jesus came to save us...to offer us the only way out of that terrible fate. It is not so much a matter of God hating us all...we were all justly condemned for our lack of ability to be righteous. Does God "love" those who believe on Jesus more than those who do not? Rocking question...but my sense of it is...no. He would rather we all come to experience newness of life in Jesus...but will not force anyone to reject hell if they really do not want to do so.

When Moses lead Gods people out of Egypt the people and angles sang praise and rejoiced in the victory God brought them and God spoke and said : do I not sorrow in the destruction of the people in Egypt ? Where they not created the same as you by me? I do not think God took pleasure in punishing his creation! But God gives us a choice to believe in him. God corrects us but we need to see our correction. Us Christians need to stop condemning atheist people and show them the same constant love that God shows all. We are all sinners who need to be corrected and Jesus never told any of us to show hate to anyone . Love the person hate the sin! if we were supposed to hate the person everyone would be hated . But people still keep hating the person so I think maybe they can't tell the difference ;(

I believe that god should love people equally but people are not capable of this same love... I am not an especially religious person but why would any god not want to love his/her/its people. Religion has separated people and these people have created negativity and inflicted pain on one another in the name of god whom they have interpreted his/her/its word to their liking and benefit as you noted in your opening paragraphs... I am not a religious person and I still believe in the power of belief in a god that is loving. It is a very uplifting and empowering thing for many.. Why would one seek a lack of love from God? People want comfort, answers, love etc//, this is religion. This is why people seek religion, it adds purpose and meaning to life in a world that can have very little to offer to many.

1 John 3

1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

11 For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15 Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24 The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

.God the Father loved and Loves His son so much that He gave Him to be the perfect Sacrifice for man kind as the Last lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.{Only if you ask for it--won't forgive you if you do not repent in asking.}

The whole Sacrificial System in the Old Testament portrayed Christ coming and what His sacrifice meant and would mean to all man kind,There is no forgiveness of sin unless their is shedding of Blood,so Christ Shed his perfect blood for us .He no respecters of person.

Only in your heart you have to "ASK" for forgiveness of sin and its done for you." IF" you do not abuse it.

Christ is your mediator in help..not your Warden. God Loves Sinners but hates the Sin. "You go back into the world for sinful pleasure and take advantage of this gift..your in trouble.Remember There is a price of living your life with out God in it.This is not Christianity

We do all this out of LOVE,devotion and thankfulness for His saving you in the first place, With out Love, all you do means nothing.

Wretched man as we are and we know this and we know we can do nothing except through Christ who gives us the Strength..We do not react as robots but have free will for eternity to make the right choices as Christ did. God Loves His Creations but if they insist on holding on to their own sins in life, so be it. sin all by itself will be burned up forever and if you don't give them up willingly, then you burn up with them,You have to let go and let God.Mal. 4:1-3

This whole message is to let go of your sins and let Christ cover you from the Flames, until you get your new Body.the perfect one you were promised. You have to start at the very beginning to make the whole thing work from Genesis to Revelation. First we have to make the decision on what God we worship. The one who created the heavens and the earth in 6 days and made the 7th holy for us. or some other god.

If this is impossible for you to believe then you have no faith and with out faith you can not please God. Faith comes by reading the bible daily Ist things come first and there are many pieces that have to be placed down correctly, until it really makes sense and not by hearsay from a preacher who does not give you scripture back up on everything He says and teaches you to research his words yourself. This is getting you off bottle fed Sermons....and on to the meat.

{If he is worth his weight in gold}his words will come alive in Christ This is where your personal Holy Spirit comes in to teach you all knowledge of God and wisdom enough to give you a real good picture of Salvation. We all have to do our part and that is surrender heart and soul back to God and Read, Read, Read His manuel for us on Life. so He can lead you off the polluted infested Earth of sin and onto a Path of His life, till you are with Christ in person.

All Bible Verses makes sense as soon as you have the Holy Spirit and until that and the light of God..His manuel will be impossible to learn.KJV It is a gift from God to His children,{SDA are the best Teachers of prophecies there is}get the info and take it back to your church of extra light.

SDA is good at teachings. They will work with you till you get it
