God has a plan for every Christian. Each Christian should discover God's plan for his life. This is something that God will gradually unfold to him as he lives his life under the direction of the Holy Spirit in all areas of his life, including the fellowship to attend, learning God's word, identifying and flowing in his anointings and giftings, worship and prayers, in ministry, in daily living, etc. As he remains faithful in carrying out what the Holy Spirit directs him to do in the course of his life God's plan for his life will become clearer and clearer to him with the passing of time. The discovery of the plan is a process and God can also send prophets to him to confirm His plans for his life each step of the way.

"Do you know why you was sent into this world?"

I wasn't sent, but hey, here I am.

"Did you ever discover your unique function or mission in life."

It's not a mission, but no, not really. I'm still young. Probably a lot younger than most people 'round these parts would guess.

"I believe we all have a small part in God's plan."

Oh. That's nice. I don't.

"I think the elderly people can answer these questions better?"

Yes, I think so, too?

"I would like to learn and hear from others"

Yeah, me too.

I'm definitely not elderly, but I have figured out my mission in life.

I feel I'm here to preach the good news of God's coming Kingdom. Especially since the time I live in is so full of crime, violence, hate, and the list could go on, but that only make it more depressing.

I like to share the marvelous hope of a paradise earth just as Jesus and his disciples shared with others. At Daniel 2:44 it speaks of a government by God that will crush and put an end to all earthly governments in the end. Personally, I think that is wonderful news! And I like to spend the majority of my time sharing that information with others.

I agree with you that we are all a part of Gods plan. We all have a purpose in this life, but I'm only seventeen so I have not yet figured out mine. I do have this particular desire to become a teacher and go to foreign countries and work with children in orphanages or even just teaching english as a second language to a less privileged country.

I want to hear what the older people have to say too, I hope that when I am older I will be able to say that I have not lived my life in vain and that I know what role I played in Gods plan.

1)I was not sent into the world I was born into it as everyone else was, through Adam and Eve, as the beginning of our Ancestors. 2.) The mission, that was given to me, in my life is to help people to learn the truth about God, and to help them to be able to benefit themselves by learning and observing God's Word.

3.)Yes we do all have a part in God's Grand Plan for us but not everyone knows what it is this is why my mission is to help people find out about God's plan. 4)I am not elderly, but I am well on the way.

I like your attitude of wanting to learn from others, that is very good because we can all learn from each other if only we give learning a try!

Great question. I am pushing 50, not there yet, I have had 9 children of my own. I am still raising 4 of them plus I have sudtody of my grandaughter. I also have taken in two teenage boys who needed a place to stay and guidance. I also am in the process, with the help of God, of helping a young lady get her life together so she can keep her upcoming child and try to get her first son back. I am laways there for my children and help whnever and however I can. I believe that God has put me here to help others especially young people. Whenever my children make friends and bring them around I am called mom. It is great I enjoy it andThank God for the blessing of the children. If we can get into a position to do it my husband and I have considered opening a foster home to help even more children. May God Bless you all and have a glory filled day.

What do you consider elderly? Yes I know why I was sent to live this current life. To learn the lessons I still had to learn. As I look back I see the pattern leading up to this point. Life is a classroom. If you fail, you have to repeat.

One of my missions was to gestate my daughter. To be a catalyst for change in certain people. And to conquer fear.

Although I do not consider myself elderly (I am soon to be 64), I do consider myself experienced. I have a personal relationship with God and He has had me playing many roles in life. The one that seems to be most prevelent at the moment is two fold. Being a peacemaker between believers of different religious backgrounds and being an example to people in prison through my work as an officer in a corrections setting.

I have a trilogy of books by Neale Donald Walsch called Conversations with God. These books have given me the answers to your questions in a way that is meaningful to me. This may not be the case for you but they might be worth a look. I don't think I'm elderly but I've been around a while lol!

I wish I knew how to answer your question. Honestly, in my age I still am trying to find out what God really has sent me to this world for. A few years back, I thought I was doing what I was meant to do, I was happy, fulfilled and gratified. Before long I realized I was being selfish and all I was doing was to satisfy my wants. Now every time I pray I ask Him to please guide me so that His will for me be done. After all He is the great architect of all our lives. I have my own plans in life, but I also seek to recognize God's message for me and that His intentions be accomplished through me.

I believe I was sent here to do God's will. He puts me where he wants me to be. But first I have to let him have full control of my life, not 50% or 99%. It is when we start thinking we know better how to run our lives that we get in trouble. He has the perfect plan all laid out.We will never know the entire plan in this lifetime. He knows what will make us happy - he created us. He is truly our heavenly father, and like our earthly father, he corrects us when we get on the wrong path, and steers us toward what he would have us do.

I Believe that that's revealed to us every day we are alive. Every decision we make, and every experience we have and our reactions to them are the reason we're here. Read the Bible at least once, (even if your not a religious person), listen more, speak less, and try to see through other peoples eyes as much as possible. Don't sell out, but don't be afraid of change.

The Holy Bible, which defines itself as "allegory" and "mystery", says (plural and contrary) "scriptures" were written "aforetime" for our "learning"; Perhaps to go and "learn" what meaneth: "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice" (Mt 9:13, repeated from Hos 6:6), which is as to allegory say I will have grace and not law, which is also to say I will have life and not death, if law is "the ministration of death" and grace is ministration of life.

The Bible also notes only the singular 'script-u-are' is what is "inspired of God"; For if plural and contrary "scriptures" were inspired of God, it would not only make God bi-polar, but also make you all both alive + dead = a dead end.

Biblically, since "we all are one", and "there is no respect of persons with God", then it becomes a global matter of grace(life) or law(death) for you and all the KofG within you... as if a matrix to navigate, with escape being via give more earnest heed to what's been said, only other option being no escape.

Gandhi said it this way:

the choice is non-violence (grace) or non-existence (law).

Shakespeare said it this way:

To be (grace) or not to be (law), that is the quest i on.

Plato said it this way:

No law or ordinance is mightier than understanding.

Solomon said it this way:

With all thy getting, get understanding = grace glory.

The end to endure to, to be saved(grace) only is also written:

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I believe I was created to love God. I think we were all created to choose to love God because that is the greatest love. As of right now, I think my mission in life is to represent Christ through my actions and reach people in the town that I live in. I also think that God is wild and exciting and tomorrow he may call me to go to another country or start another job. Only He knows the exact plan for my life.

No not yet, I was trying to do something for God but it kept falling apart, so now I'm just waiting on His instructions.

I have asked God (in Jesus' name) to give me a part in His harvest, and I believe He has a small job for me, maybe I'm allready doing it. But then again He is still moulding me, and I'm still learning

I am here simply because God created the first Human pair and I like everyone else am a descendant through pro-creation, God created Adam and Eve because He desired to share His awesome love with them and to us their children.

My function in this life is to know, love and serve God and help my neighbor, this is God`s plan and one day it will all come to fruition and then all things will be made clear.

You have asked THE question. It's amazing to me to read some responses that seem to glibly dismiss it without thought.

I do know why I was sent into this world. I know what my purpose here is. I know where I came from before this life. I know where I will go after this life. I have learned this information from the teachings of my church, but more importantly, this information has been confirmed in my heart as truth by God.

We are here to glorify God and enjoy Him and His creation.

I agree that we have a small part in God's plan and we should search out our calling....but one has to be careful not to be searching a means of knowing the hidden will of God. Such things lead to false things. The hidden will of God is just that- hidden and is none of our business.

God has revealed all He is going to reveal in Scripture. That is all we need to know. We should strive to bring our lives in line with His will as revealed there. After that its about preferences (IE. if it does not conflict with Scripture you should do as you please in check with conscience).

I exist because my parents decided to have a baby.

I don't believe any of us have a "unique" mission, we are all here to love one another and make this a better world for all.

"Better" means free from fear.

It is a deep question. And I have a deep answer.

I have no idea why god put me here. I wish I did. I wish I knew what he wanted me to do with my life. but I don't. so I just have to keep on going, trying to do the best with what I got.

and so do you.

God does not exist but we do. There is no special purpose. The elderly can't answer those questions, they're old and have been brainwashed by Christianity for far too many years.
