Question:
Is exposing False religion a demonstration of anger, or is it approved by Jesus?
Galatians;5-1

I was informed by a Jehovah's Witness, that my exposing of hidden sins of the Watchtower's history, and present activities, that I am guilty of displaying anger, and even with documented evidence that reveals what I show to be true, he also says I am bearing false witness against the Watchtower, and that I will be punished by God for doing so.

I believe that Jesus set the example for Christians, by exposing the Jewish pharisees as false teachers, murderous, and sinful.

Jesus was disfellowshipped from the Jewish synagogues, even though He was the very one prophesied about.

I believe that ex-witnesses are being obedient to Christ by exposing false and dangerous religions.

What say you?

Is exposing false religion a demonstration of misplaced anger, or is it a revealing of false religion, approved by Jesus Christ?

How are you bearing false witness by pointing out a historical fact? That doesn't make any sense. You are correct: exposing falsehood is being obedient to Christ. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I HAVE COMMANDED YOU; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matt 28:19-20).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:1-14).

For everyone practicing evil HATES the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God (John 3:20-21).

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matt 5:14-16).

In other words, keep doing what you're doing.

That JW is a hypocrite! Look at what their own literature says:

". . . It is not a form of religious persecution for anyone to say and to show that another religion is false. It is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion. But in order to make the exposure and show the wrong religions to be false, the true worshiper will have to use an authoritative means of judgment, a rule of measurement that cannot be proved faulty. To make a public exposure of false religion is certainly of more value than exposing a news report as being untrue; it is a public service instead of a religious persecution and it has to do with the eternal life and happiness of the public . . ." - Watchtower 11/16/1963 pg. 688, par. 3 'Execution of Divine Judgment upon False Religion'

(Matthew 21:12, 13) 12 And Jesus entered into the temple and threw out all those selling and buying in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 13 And he said to them: “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but YOU are making it a cave of robbers.”

Jesus was here, exposing the Pharisees. Look at what they could have done, COMPARED to what they did! ) Being in such a prominent position as the Pharisees were, and having the confidence of the people as they had, they were in an excellent position to teach the people the Word of Jehovah. But rather than doing so, they strayed far from the truth; so far, indeed, that when Jehovah God’s time came to send his messenger, John the Baptist, to prepare the way for the Greater than Moses, Christ Jesus, they rejected Jehovah’s warning and counsel. “But the Pharisees and those versed in the law disregarded the counsel of God. So yes, exposing False religion is approved by Jesus?

Here's the answer of Jehovah's Witnesses right from their publication .

"It is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false"

(Nov. 15, 1963, Watchtower Magazine, p. 688, par. 3)

They condemn themselves right from their own mouth .

You are absolutly correct.

It is logical that "Jehovah's Witnesses" (quotes intended) do not agree with your exposing of false religion, because the finger is pointing right at them!!

All things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light (Ephesians 5:13) but the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:20).

Jehovahs Witnesses are good at attacking the person instead of addressing the issues.

Keep up the good work of exposing the deceptive cult.

Jesus was disfellowshipped? News to me!

I don't know what your displaying, but I'm guessing you think very highly of yourself & it's unwarranted! We don't expose false religion, they expose themselves by their fruits! Jesus himself warned: “Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to you in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves... By their fruits you will recognize them.” (Matthew 7:15-23) “You people will certainly see the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving God and one who has not served him.” (Malachi 3:18) “Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

According to the Bible, we must make a personal decision as to what to believe, what is true & what is false, through extensive prayer & study & research & meditation & through personally examining the scriptures & observing the "fruits" of religions, we will be able to identify what real truth is & what false teachings we want to avoid! “If you keep seeking for it as for silver, and as for hid treasures you keep searching for it, in that case ... you will find the very knowledge of God.” (Proverbs 2:4, 5)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but It really has NOTHING to do with you! You're not enlightening anyone, you're not exposing anything. God is the one that does that, he reveals himself to those who are looking for him, "You, however, continue in the things that you learned and were persuaded to believe, knowing from what persons you learned them" (2 Timothy 3:14)

Paul said, “God, who... called me through his undeserved kindness, thought good to reveal his Son in connection with me.” (Gal. 1:15, 16) To Timothy, Paul wrote: “I was shown mercy so that by means of me as the foremost case Christ Jesus might demonstrate all his long-suffering for a sample of those who are going to rest their faith on him for everlasting life.” (1 Tim. 1:16) "Like Paul, therefore, we should desire to extend love to others by preaching to them and teaching them the truth and by strengthening our fellow believers.—Read Acts 14:21-23. (http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2008365?q=god+reveal+himself&p=par)

Given God's word the Bible & Jesus own words, I believe that we are to build one another up, continue searching for spiritual truths & "making sure of the more important things" (Philippians 1:10) rather than get so caught up in ourselves that we actually feel we are doing a righteous thing, when in fact, we're only wasting our own time, & missing the whole point of Jesus ministry. We do want to avoid thinking too much of ourselves, feeling we are exposing something as great & powerful as false religion itself, when God admonishes us not to become involved with false teachers & promoters of personal opinions.

And so Jesus went on to say to the Jews that had believed him: “If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.” (John 8:31,32)
