share your story of deliverance?

Question

I had mine today...and am wondering if others have a like story...

I had a dream last night after asking God with an humble heart..to give me an answer...(hadnt tried the humble heart thing)

anyways..in the dream I was handed a verse on a peice of paper...

I got up this morning, and went to church..where the preacher talked about that very verse and issues related to my struggles...

the verse:
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land


my deliverance:

I can not keep asking why this person did this or that wrong and God did nothing to punish them or to fix it for me...had I not of been living in disobedience to God, it never would have happened in the first place.
in other words....if I hadnt been playing in traffic, the drunk driver never would have hit me....I shouldnt worry about what they did wrong...but what I was doing wrong and making it right.

anyone else have a deliverance story?

I have so many deliverance stories. God has saved me countless of times even when I never deserved His grace. First I was born into a Christian family and I felt like I was a better Christian than a lot of people. Cuz I didn't do the big stuff, you know? But just a year later, now that I'm closer to God than I was back then, I can see that I was just as much away from God as most of the people around me. It doesn't matter if you don't do the "big sins", if you don't have a personal relationship with God, you can't really call yourself a Christian. So in March I went to this camp and it changed my life inside out. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and God changed my whole life around. I just had this new sense of love for Him and for my friends around me and I just became this different person. I then realized that He had delivered me from this addiction that I had and that I had no desire to do that anymore. He delivered me from this thing that I was going through. It was basically taking control of everything and hurting me and it started to take a toll on my physical health as well and when he delivered me from that storm I was basically the happiest person ever.:) And I'm going through something now, but I know that He's going to take me through this too. If it wasn't for His grace and mercy I wouldn't be here.

Not me but my dad. He struggled with a drug addiction for 15 years. One day after we had tried everything and my parents were close to getting a divorce, he was invited to our present church. There he became a born again christian and i followed 2 years after. My dad has been drug free for the past 4-5 years and my parents are happily married once again.

Deliverance was a movie starring Burt Reynolds. I found it deeply disturbing and have never watched it again.

I was also delivered from Christianity when I realized it was not for me.

the only other deliverance I experienced was shortly after I was born. But I don't remember that.

Yes . . . one day I finally admitted to myself what I'd long suspected: that religion was nothing but myth and superstition used to enslave the human race.



That was my deliverance.
