Question:
Do you resent how Atheists rip off parts of The Bible, rebrand them exorbitantly, becoming multi-millionaires?

While when you presented the Knowledge in its original form for decades, even, everyone who is in the stampede to buy up their books, audios, videos and courses just laughed at The Gospel?

I just now encountered a new one on me-

1. QUANTUM JUMPING- by one "Burt Goldman."

I just got an email advertizing it, and have not studied it in any sort of depth at all, but to me, the blurb said everything I need to know:

"Everything I have I owe to Alternate Universes."

He opened with the claim that he started painting in his late 70s- implying that he was 79- and that at 81, he now has pictures in galleries. (We should assume this positively.)

A brief scanning of his sales pitch tells me that what he basically did was psychically Time Travel backwards, retroactively learn skills he never did in a Universe he diverged, by applying (what only I call) The First Talent of Power (Matt. 25:13-30): TOTAL RECALL. The Third Talent of Power (Telekinesis) would enable imaginary experiences to write to RNA (which does not normally occur in untrained dreaming,) creating reflexes he never developed in the "Real" World.

This idea is nothing new. The Ancient Prophets would say that God "took them to Heaven," and taught them stuff to take back home and disseminate to apprentices.

The most recent example of that that I know of, is the late Kenneth Erwin Hagin, of Tulsa Oklahoma.

2. DIANETICS, by Lafayette Ronald Hubbard. The biggest example I know.

This was a total rip-off of MATTHEW 18.

Every Principle in this one chapter is utilized in Dianetics, which involves verbally hacking the locks and blocks preventing access to higher (Heavenly) Mental/Spiritual Planes.

3. ECKANKAR, by Paul Twitchell.

This was a rip off of L. Ron Hubbard's SCIENTOLOGY application of DIANETICS, which he cobbled together, to present it as a religion in 1954, and gain First Amendment protections, when the OSS tried to take it from him.

Paul Twitchell was reputedly the seventh person to make CLEAR, in Dianetics.

ECKANKAR is built on Visio-Audio Recall Phenomena that manifest with minimal effort in concentration.

3. TENSEGRITY, by Carlos Castaneda.

The application of Biblical Disciplines resulting in optimum development of the Spirit, Soul, and Body. The LOS NUEVOS VIDENTES (The New Seers) who trained Carlos Castaneda ,merely applied those parts of The Bible that Orthodox and Evangelical Christians are normally trained to ignore (John 8:31-32; 14:4-27;16:12-15). His DON JUAN MATUS Books confirm and explain many Biblical Principles and Phenomena, whereas Don Juan derided the idea that God Exists.

4. THE SECRET, by Rhonda Byrne.

This is a total rip-off of MARK 11:23-24, which was Kenneth E. Hagin's lifetime keynote.

5. THE EINSTEIN FACTOR, by Win Wenger and Richard Poe.

Another exploitation of the Biblical Commandments to use the WHOLE Mind (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Psalm 119:97-104; Matthew 6:19-24) to the utmost of one's ability, making it grow as much as tenfold (Luke 19:11-27). But without giving the requisite Glory to God.

Eventually, these procedures get one into some sort of trouble, because one is lacking FUNDAMENTAL SUPPORT DISCIPLINES which are intrinsic to the Religion, when practiced the way that God Commanded in The Bible.

These people take what they want from The Bible, to build their own little empires, and then invariably hang up on that little corner of Knowledge- pivotal though it is- and then DIE, without ever touching any of the very next steps- which were in their reach right from the beginning.

It would be funny, were these not Human lives being wasted in such a way, and entire generations being held back- for nothing!

. MATTHEW 16:24-27.

24. Then said Jesus unto his Disciples,
"If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
25. "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:
and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it."
26. "For what is a man profited,
if he shall gain the whole World, and lose his own soul?
or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27. "For the Son of Man shall come
in The Glory of his Father with His Angels;
and then he shall Reward every man
according to his works."

. LUKE 11:52.

52. "Woe unto you, lawyers!
for ye have taken away The Key of Knowledge:
ye entered not in yourselves,
and them that were entering in ye hindered."

A perfect example of people repeating internet hearsay. You've never read Dianetics or you'd know it has nothing to do with "higher planes of existence". LOL

So many proclaim to...HAVE the answer, KNOW the secrets, which yes,

they can expound from the bible w/o acknowledging Jesus at all.

Without Jesus, though, it's as you said, missing the main ingredient.

People who run to those things do feel great for a while, no doubt

about it...and they can end up getting what they want, more

money, better job, better relationships.

If that's all they want, they need, sometimes they get that.

But it's a carnal leading. It can sound sugary smooth, pleasant,

but it's illusion.

When Jesus said they would be sent 'strong delusion', it didn't

say this would feel bad, or seem bad. It is very pleasant,

like a drug to these people.

They have nothing of their own, and thus must take it from

the Lord. And no, the bible did not take it from other cultures.

If this is studied, it will be seen to be true. (although the early

Jews DID live near other cultures, and they did relate

to these other cultures even though 'God' warned them

not to do this).

Most religions and philosphies are based at least partly on previous ones. It's been going on for thousands of years. For example, the ancient Greeks totally copied the Romans.

ThetaWorks is right on this one. There are things in Scientology that were from other religions' influence but that's mostly Buddhism, and Dianetics doesn't proceed from any religion.

The biggest rip off of all are the business religions who have made billions of $'s £'s or whatever from the babble itself and turned billions into delusional slaves to nonsense.

Atheists have nothing to be ashamed of, however theists are a abomination to mankind.

Do you mean how xtians mistranslated the Jewish TaNaKh, added hell and evil beings and call their version the 'old' testament and teach what Judaism forbids?

Do uou mean how xtianity teaches good versus evil mythology - the fall of mankind?

Do you mean how xtians only study xtian lies and are forbidden to question xtianity?

Do you mean how xtians think there is only the 'old' testament and have no idea the TaNaKh exists?

Do you mean how paul was the first to write of any jesus, and after the Greek paul died, Greeks wrote the 'gospels' and the first xtian bible was Greek? Do you mean how paul wrote jesus wss a hallucination? What did Greeks believe and what god is honored by the suffix 'sus?'

The Bible includes various results of previous cultures. They aren't owned by the Bible in any way, and can be found elsewhere, and in many cases long before.

The biggest ripoff merchants using God and the bible as a money making venture is all the churches.

So basically you're saying everything is a ripoff from the Bible and the people doing it must be atheists because.. well they simply must.
