As any adult religious parent might believe, such lustful descriptions, if culled from secular sources, would corrupt children should they happen to read them. Should it not also corrupt children if read from the Bible?

You have a couple false assumptions here.



A: Science is not a moral philosophy, it is a process by which information is obtained, examined, and proven. Science is what explains electricity, physics, as well as evolution.



B: Science does not teach there is no accountability for your actions. If anything "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" which is a law of physics AKA science is a very direct version of accountability.



C: I don't know of much science into afterlife, but our being physically animals, doesn't make our value any different. Some animals have claws for weapons, some have teeth, some have poisons and venom and all manner of strange adaptations which allows them to survive. Humans have one too, society and intellect. We bond together and share what we know. These are our Animalistic behaviors. Murder is not acceptable in any society.



D: Survival of the fittest, isn't a metaphor for some kind of evolutionary Thunder-dome scenario as you seem to be implying. It means the creature best adapted to its surroundings will thrive. Any person who understood evolution, and even moderate understanding of basic human conduct, would know that killing people does not put one in a position of best adapted to society. These actions are the actions of rogue, random killers.



E: You are making large assumptions as well that any of these people believed, and the reason for their killing.
