Think about it, we're all born. We all eat. We all survive. We all have the same color blood. We all feel pain. We all die. How are we different? In your own opinion please.

LOL suggested category: pets.

But as far as we know, humans aren't delicious with a side of mashed potatoes.

We are a animals, but at the apex. There is no other animal that has the power to destroy all others, to tame, use as labour, eat, cage, keep as pets, etc.

There is no animal that is in dominion over man.

There is no animal with man's intellect, creativity or self awareness.

This is not to say that we don't have responsibility to look after those less animals lower down the development chain than ourselves. We are just not developed enough to do that well...

PS Some animals are hatched. Not all have red blood. Not all feel pain. there are innumerable ways in which we are different

In the spiritual level, there is no difference between god, man, tree, star, planets, minerals, plants, dogs, atoms, fairies, demons, angels. WE are one but our degree of spirituality defines our consciousness of who we are spiritually. In the physical level, including the level of mind, soul, emotion and body, we are different. Unfortunately, what we know is what is the other way around and therefore man kills man, man destroys nature and the planet, man eats animal not just for survival but for the pleasure of eating.

I believe we are animals. We are of the same spirit essence. But, then again, I'm an Animist, and even believe some of my ancestors have come back as animals to watch over me.

In terms of intelligence, we are above animals (although how we act is a completely different story!)

P.S Not all animals have red blood

Actually, we DON'T all have the same color blood. In some organisms, it comes out white, or blue, or even green.

Spiders have green blood, which I will count as grounds to continue not liking them.

That aside, as I sit here in my ground floor house (an important point, as the only animals that would be beneath me would be earthworms), no, I do not see myself as superior to animals.

I have different abilities, but this does not make me superior to them, any more than pigeons are superior to me because they can fly, and escape prosecution when they befoul public statues.

Yes. We're social animals. We're bound to favour our own kind.

Yes. What distinguishes us above animals is our minds. Or do you believe that animals are intellectually equivalent to humans?

The above Bible verse (Gen 1:26) reads in real English this way:

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground

Ge:1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
