How do you find out the difference between a genuine note of a currency and a copy? You throw light on it. This tells you whether it is genuine, or a copy.

The religions you are torn between should prove by the results (fruits) of those supporting it, whether the God of Love (1 Joh. 4:8) approves of their actions, whether indeed they obey this God of Love. Moses was given the personal Name of this God Almighty as Jehovah (Ex. 6:3). His witnesses will explain to you why they are convinced that if theirs was the only way of worship on earth, genuine and lasting peace would be guaranteed. Why? Because they practise what they preach. Can this be said of either Christendom or other belief systems?:Kind greetings, Günter

I am not going to tell you which religion to follow. But i will let you know that the advice I am going to give is coming from a Christian. If you truely want to seek God and know who he is and have a personal relationship with him...you must get down on your knees and pray to him....tell him that you know you are a sinner....that you have sinned and you need him to show you which religion truely exhalts and uncovers who He is and what he has done for you. I mean you need to really pour out everything in this prayer to him...tell him all of your doubts, troubles, and worries that you are having in this choice that you are going to make. Let him know that you want to know who he truely is....that you are willing to have him be Master over your life....and that you are willing to allow him to use you for whatever purpose He deems necessary (to bring glory to Him). Do not pray this one time but continue in prayer and realize that if you honestly want this (not because of some exterior motive) that the truth will be revealed to you.

He proclaimed "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

I became a christian through an encounter with God and Jesus. If you want to know if God is real, just ask Him. Keep praying. God can be known, deep down in your soul, and He won't turn you away. He already knows what you are going through and will hold your hand all through the trial.

Hey, why not watch some Youtube videos on Islam? Some of them you can see talk about Islam and Christianity together. I recommend you check out Dr. Zakir Naik's talks, Yusuf Estes maybe too because he was once a Catholic priest and he's come to Islam (in the 90's i think). So find some reverts who were once Christian, check out their story then decide yourself :)

Believe it or not, you were born a Muslim..pure and innocent. :) You will get so much from Islam including 100x as much in the next life which is your permanent life!! So in this temporary life you need to find the truth, come to the truth and believe in the truth throughout your life. You'll be tested in your grave. Basically, since we say that life is a test, your grave is when your test is marked. then judgement day is when we ALL face God and He tells us about our life on Earth...and will decide whether you'll go to heaven, or hell.

Well, first of all, Islam and Christianity are very similar religions. Overall, the main difference is, Muslims see Jesus Christ (pbuh) as one of the more important messengers of Allah. Christians see Jesus Christ (pbuh) as a the son of God.

Do you want to follow a religion where the main prophet was a mass-murderer and had sex with a nine-year-old girl? Do you want to follow a religion where the holy book says that all things are "created in pairs", when it's obvious bacteria and other organisms reproduce asexually? A religion where the moon gives off its own light...a religion that states semen is produced between the backbone and ribs...a religion where its god uses shooting stars to chase the evil spirits away...where Pharoah, an Egyptian ruler, ordered crucifixions, a Roman practice?

I vote none of the above.

The Bible has a name for God Jehovah and not just a title (even Satan has a name) and He

promises real Life in a New System of Things in his Earthly Kingdom under His Son Jesus Christ.

Who else can offer this free gift?

I think you should just research them both thoroughly. Go to a church and go to a mosque and see which you find better and less confusing. Remember following a religion is hard work and is not easy, but may God (SWT) make it easy for you and help you and guide you and make you make the right choice for you.

Believe in Jesus as islam says and u have to believe in One God Allah, and the Last messenger Prophet Mohammed ( Pbuh ), This is the basic criteria to enter Heavens.

“They have certainly disbelieved who say, ‘God is the Messiah, the son of Mary’ while the Messiah has said, ‘O Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord...’” (Quran 5:72)

“They have certainly disbelieved who say, ‘God is the third of three.’ (Rather) there is none worthy of worship except One (God). And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. So will they not repent to God and seek His forgiveness? And God is Forgiving and Merciful. The Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary, was no more than a Messenger before whom many Messengers have passed away; and his mother adhered wholly to truthfulness, and they both ate food (as other mortals do). See how We make Our signs clear to them; and see where they are turning away!” (Quran 5:73-75)

And also:

“O People of the Book (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, and attribute to God nothing except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God, and His command that He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and in His Messengers, and do not say: ‘God is a Trinity.’ Give up this assertion; it would be better for you. For God is indeed (the only) One God. Far be it from His glory that He should have a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth. And God is sufficient for a guardian.” (Quran 4:171)

“And they say: ‘The Most Merciful (God) has taken (for Himself) a son.’ Assuredly you utter a hideous thing, whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins; That they ascribe unto the Most Merciful a son, when it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Merciful that He should take a son. There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Merciful as a slave.” (Quran 19:88-93)

“And (beware the Day) when God will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as deities besides God?’” He will say, ‘Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen. I said not to them except what you commanded me – to worship God, my Lord and your Lord…’” (Quran 5:116-117)

“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” (Quran 51:56)

“And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, (saying), ‘Worship God and avoid all false objects of worship…’” (Quran 16:36)

“And (remember) when Jesus, son of Mary, said: ‘O Children of Israel, I am the Messenger of God sent to you, confirming the Torah (which came) before me...’” (Quran 61:6)

Jesus Christ, the son of Mary, was the last in the line of Jewish prophets. He lived according to the Torah, the Law of Moses, and taught his followers to do likewise. In Matthew 5:17-18, Jesus stated:

“Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the (way of) the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

Not only did Jesus affirm the scriptures revealed before him, but he also foretold of another prophet to come after him. God says:

“And when Jesus, son of Mary, said: ‘O Children of Israel! Indeed I am the messenger of God unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who will come after me, whose name is the Praised One.’” (Quran 61:6)

This fact is also mentioned in the New Testament. Careful study shows that Jesus, peace be upon him, refers to the same prophet in John 14:16-17:

“And I will give you another Counselor (the Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him), to be with you forever, even the Spirit of Truth.”

THE RELIGION OF ISLAM

The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word "Islam" itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of "Allah" and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah's "God's" religion; the total submission to the will of Allah "God". The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the only true god worthy of worship "Allah" and anyone who does so is termed a "Muslim", The word also implies "peace" which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allah. Hence, it was not a new religion brought by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) I in Arabia in the seventh century, but only the true religion of Allah re-expressed in its final form.

Islam is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. The name of God's religion lslam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In the final book of divine revelation, the Qur'aan, Allah states the following:

"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". (Soorah Al-Maa'idah 5:3)

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him" (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:85)

"Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim." (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:67)

Nowhere in the Bible will you find Allah saying to Prophet Moses' people or their descendants that their religion is Judaism, nor to the followers of Christ that their religion is Christianity. In fact, Christ was not even his name, nor was it Jesus! The name "Christ" comes from the Greek word Christos which means the annointed. That is, Christ is a Greek translation of the Hebrew title "Messiah". The name "Jesus" on the other hand, is a latinized version of the Hebrew name Esau.

For simplicity's sake, I will however continue to refer to Prophet Esau (PBUH) as Jesus. As for his religion, it was what he called his followers to. Like the prophets before him, he called the people to surrender their will to the will of Allah; (which is Islam) and he warned them to stay away from the false gods of human imagination.

According to the New Testament, he taught his followers to pray as follows: "Yours will be done on earth as it is in Heaven".

may Allah show us the right path, ameen
