Masons make up only about 1-3% of the current population. Gay Jewish Eskimos probably hold a larger demographic.
In Masonry God is sometimes referred to the Great Architect of the Universe, not the Grand Master.
Grand Master is an elected position a Mason may hold, making him the head of a specific Grand Lodge. There is no one overall authority over all of Masonry. In the United States, there are about 103 legitimate Grand Lodges, so 103 different Grand Masters.
"One Nation Under God" is a motto that dates back to at least the Civil War, but was pushed into common and official use in the middle 20th century by the Knights of Columbus... not Masonry.

There really isn't that much Freemasonry in America. If there was, the world would be a much better place. Once upon a time, there were many fraternities and groups that neighbors and friends could join, and there was much discussion, and people actually talked with each other face to face. We knew our neighbors, and we didn't have to lock our doors at night.
NOTES:
There's no "Grand Architect of the Universe," but there is a "Great Architect of the Universe."
Freemasonry is not a religion, nor do they 'unify all religions' inside a Lodge. Religion and Politics are specifically not to be discussed in a Lodge.

America, and most of the free world is free because of freemasons. they built many of the structures around this country, most of the cathedrals in the world, etc...
if you knew anything about freemasonry you'd know they are against a central ruling authority, that's why there is no one grand lodge for the world...

Actually he is called the "Grand Architect of the Universe" by Masons. Masons call him that because Masons unify all religions inside the lodges. In order to become a Mason a prerequisite is believing is "God" whoever that may be to you :) Hope this helps

What is this raging terror Americans seem to have of Masons? Do you actually know any? Do you know anything about it at all?
