Sadly, Icke is one of my countrymen, (UK). Here he is looked upon as a complete loon, and headcase, as are the ones stupid enough to support him and buy his books. A washed-out footballer and sports commentator, he needed to find something to support himself, so he came up with promoting and propagating conspiracy theories. It has been quite successful for him and made him a lot of money.

I was watching the Wogan show back in the 90s when David Icke went on it, declared himself the son of God and predicted the immanent end of the world.

It made for great TV, but his reputation amongst sane people has never recovered. He's spent the rest of his life selling steaming piles of conspiracy BS to gullible people and he makes a lot of money doing it too.



You're right that it's not funny anymore. Loonies around the world whining about Earth being flat, or alien overlords controlling our lives were amusing when the stakes weren't high. But Covid-19 kills people, horribly. People who are spreading deliberate misinformation about the illness put vulnerable lives at risk. They deserve the wrath of society directed at them.
