Ok so im really lost with this. I dont knkw what I shouldnt listen to as a Christian. Im really into foreign music, especially this Japanese group called Perfume. Theyre techno-pop. Should I listen to them as a Christian and is it ok? If you dont know who I'm talking about then just go to youtube and look at their song Polyrhythm or Love the World. So is it ok for me to listen to them? Please reply, I really need to know. And please only Christians answer this.

There is nothing wrong with listening to foreign music and being a Christian. In the Bible it spoke about David playing beautiful music to King Saul and singing. Foreign music is still music. If you moved to a land far away you will begin to like their music. It will be foreign to you. Jehovah God put it in us to enjoy music and be happy.

Music can effect you in a good or bad way. Always be careful about what type of music you listen to because it can have a bad influence on you, your associates, and heart. Other than that foreign music is fine. I love to listen to this Japanese man play jazz on YouTube. I don't know his name but I always seem to find him when I'm looking for him. Its beautiful smooth jazz. By the way I'm one of Jehovah Witnesses :)

probable a translation that isn't as difficult as king James yet no longer the student adventure Bible (that's some distance too simplistic for an adolescent) they may be intellectually insulted so someplace in between could be a stable in positive condition.

Doesn't say much good about anything foreign. There are a few exceptions. But for the most part anything that wasn't Hebrew wasn't considered to be Good.

That's the way most Religions were.

I am Christian, I listen to heavy metal and rock. My favorite bands are

Slayer

Metallica

Pantera

Led Zeppelin

ect....

The bible says NOTHING about what kind of music to listen to. It doesn't say anything about cussing, or masturbating either.

sorry to be rude

but please grow a brain

Christianity is not an American religion

Jesus was not an American

seeing that he lived in the middle east your music would be foreign music for him... if it existed in biblical time

the bible doesn't say any thing about music!

it's crazy people that say things about music!

listen to what you like!

use your good judgment

The Bible doesn't say anything about music. It's the content not the origin. In practice, it's about fitting in at church.

im not going to judge you for liking music, but most of it is of the world these days and does nothing to glorify God or to focus you on His word. You feeling good doesnt make it good, just be honest about 'does it distract me from my faith' ..

I currently have 827 points.

Assuming i gain 2 points answering your question according to basic mathematics we can apply the sum operator:

827 + 2 = 829.

Now i got 829 points.

thanks :D

considering Bible was a Jewish myth written for Jews, you're screwed anyways, with your gospel, or Bach.

It's not a sin. You should embrace different cultures and their music.
