Why dont christians believe that evolution is a proven part of science?

Evolution doesnt mean "monkeys turning into people, or emerging from a puddle"do your research!!!!!
Evolution simply means "The change of species over time" That includes short-term changes that are measurable in letter-for-letter changes in DNA or proteins, or in splitting of a species into two or more species (genetically distinct populations that have lost the ability to cross-breed), and in very, very long-term changes that show *dramatic* changes in structure and size of a species.
ALL of these are observable and based on repeatable experiments and observations.

Now i think the things you guys are actually trying to refer to is the "Theory of evolution."
The thing about the theory of evolution is nobody is claiming its for sure fact. We are not following it like you follow your religion because we know it is a theory and can change.
But theories arent the "guesses" you make them out to be.
Unlike religion, theories have provable science to back it up and aren't just based off feeling and If there is even one tiny thing that disproves a theory it is immediately thrown away.. We know that it can change as time passes as new data comes in and bring us closer to the truth as it does. Like many other scientific theories have in the past.

We dont think its the answer, we follow it because it is the most reliable.

I'm not an expert, but I'll give this question an answer regardless.



Some Christians do think that evolution is proven and correct. It depends on the person.



But it says in the Bible that we were made in God's likeness, suggesting nothing about evolution or anything like that. This would also assume that we would not evolve in the future, because humans would still be made in God's likeness.



Me personally, I am a Christian, and I believe what you say is right. My view is that we have evolved and changed, but we are still in God's likeness. I think that at the time, the humans back then wouldn't have understood about evolution, so God said the phrase loosely, as he would know that we would change to adapt to the environment as in the theories of evolution.

Evolution can mean "change over time" in which case a melting ice cube is evolving.

While some sub-theories within evolution have been proved beyond reasonable doubt; selection, adaptation, and speciation; this is not proof of evolution itself.

The RCC, the Orthodox churches, the Church of England, and all mainstream Christian denominations (oldest & largest) – even Orthodox Jews -- accept evolution, the big bang, etc. because the average ten year old can see that the Bible is not a science textbook. Genesis 1 is a song of praise to the miracle of creation – not a science paper. The sooner the fundamentalists/fringe cults realize that, the better it will be for everyone.

Well, first off, MANY christians accept the scientific reality of Evolution.



You have to be mentally ill to believe in magic, but not all theists are so delusional that they can utterly reject basic facts in the face of so much evidence.



I know a number of theists that get quite upset when they're included in the sweeping statement of "Why don't Christians accept evolution?"

CREATIONISM: EVOLUTION is NOT correct. Some years before (I think in 1980's) US Scientists and Doctors were tried to transplant a monkey's heart to a Child (named X). It didn't support. Because, the monkey's heart has 3 rooms. But the human's heart has 4 rooms. Also they tried to transfer monkey's blood to humans. Also didn't fit.

So, Darwin’s Theory “Human are developed from monkeys” is wrong.
