All my life I ve never believed in God, but here I am going on 17. Lots of challenging have happened to me, both good and bad, I m about to join the military. For some reason lately, I ve been conflicted on wanting to have faith. But I don t want to be religious. I don t know, is it okay to believe in God, but not be religious affiliated if that makes sense. I m not saying religion is bad, but I agree and disagree with most of them. I ve become very opened minded recently after a negative person left my life. And I ve been able to grow into my opinions, and beliefs this being one.

Is it okay to believe in God?

Of course it's okay to believe in a god, but you should understand exactly what you're getting into when you choose a god. You may not be a part of the religion, but if the god you're following has a religion, the odds are that that god would expect you to follow at least one of said religions, no?

If you're going to believe in a god, an undefined god is best. Like the one you find in Deism or Buddhism. Pretending to know what a god thinks, likes, hates, or does is the mark of religions, and men who are literally fabricating fairytales to suit their own agenda. If a deity exists, there's a small chance that we would even be able to comprehend it, let alone its personality.

You should also be careful of having blind faith in something, or someone. People WILL take advantage of it. You can also believe in a god without needing faith. The current argument is centered around whether or not a god was needed to create reality. Science says no, theists say yes. It's perfectly fine for you to have a rational reason to believe in a god. You don't NEED to rely on belief and faith. That's just what the weak and stupid people do when they don't have an answer. They rely on blind faith and submit hallucinations as 'evidence'. I would recommend against turning into one of those people. They're notoriously stupid, and seem to lack the ability to understand simple definitions.

Believe whatever you want to believe. It's most likely not going to make any kind of difference, given that theists have yet to prove that Any of their gods exist, and their only lame-brained counterargument is that 'we can't prove it doesn't exist'. There's nothing wrong with being a theist. Just try not to turn into a total moron.

It's perfectly okay to believe in God and not do "religion". I say am a Chritian because that's how grew up and continue to be a part of, but what I am first and foremost is a child of God. A religion offers support in your belief, which is important, and at your stage in life, is vital, but that support is available from other sources. I am 45, and at this point in my life, am more mature in my faith, having had it since I was 7, but for a long time, I needed church to structure my faith. I suggest praying about it, askin God to give you, and to try different churches. That way, you will have some guidance. Just because you visit doesn't make you a member of a church, like just because you go over to your nieghbor's for supper with the family doesn't make you a member of that family. You are a child of God, so have many brothers and sisters. Church is like a family reunion, family is family, even if they don't come to the reunion.

This is God reaching out to you. Theres nothing wrong in believing I'm God. In fact science has proved God . The Big bang theory. What Belgian Scientist Georges as whatever matter there is, or ever will be was created in a second. Which is how long it would take when God said " Let there be light " in genesis 3:1 (I think that's the right verse) I believe in God but I don't affiliate with a specific religion because its confusing to go from one to the other. But you can explore different religions. It's going to take a bit to find a church that reaches out to you

Yes, for life and God go side by side in competitions.

Like science they do not really know what is the meaning of life, mostly they just guess.

some will tell you story that are interesting like this one:

Yes ! Believing in God and having a relationship with Him,

as an adopted member and heir in His family, is way better

than the concocted rituals and expectations of "religion".

As you would realize, there are many versions of "religion"

each with their own pet requirements they place on people,

but don't take that to suggest they're all wrong ... Christian

groups vary a lot, but some are more closely following the

pattern Jesus taught. That's what should interest you, if the

call you are experiencing is from the Holy Spirit. When God

draws you to know Him and honour Him, it is by His Spirit,

and when He initiates it that way, the Spirit leads you in a

quest to know Him better - and learn what He wants you to

know, rather than getting caught up in pointless religion.

Talk to Him .. He really does provide answers in some very

amazing ways that are personally relevant to you. Trust Him.

Yes, the Bible provides compelling evidence that God exists. It encourages us to build faith in God, not by blindly believing religious assertions, but by using our “power of reason” and “mental perception.” (Romans 12:1; 1 John 5:20, footnote) Consider the following lines of reasoning based on the Bible:

The existence of an orderly universe containing life points to a Creator. The Bible says: “Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4) Although this logic is simple, many well-educated people find it to be powerful. *

As humans, we have an innate desire to understand the meaning and purpose of life, a type of hunger that can remain after our physical needs have been met. This is part of what the Bible calls our “spiritual need,” which includes the desire to know and worship God. (Matthew 5:3; Revelation 4:11) This spiritual need not only gives evidence that God exists but also indicates that he is a loving Creator who wants us to satisfy that need.—Matthew 4:4.

Detailed prophecies in the Bible were written centuries ahead of time and came true exactly as predicted. The accuracy and detail of those predictions strongly suggest that they came from a superhuman source.—2 Peter 1:21.

Bible writers had scientific knowledge that was beyond the understanding of their contemporaries. For example, in ancient times many peoples believed that the earth was supported by an animal, such as an elephant, a boar, or an ox. In contrast, the Bible says that God is “suspending the earth upon nothing.” (Job 26:7) Similarly, the Bible correctly describes the shape of the earth as a “sphere,” or “globe.” (Isaiah 40:22, footnote; Douay Version) Many people feel that the most reasonable explanation for such advanced understanding is that Bible writers received their information from God.

The Bible answers many difficult questions, the type of questions that when not satisfactorily answered can lead a person to atheism. For example: If God is loving and all-powerful, why is there suffering and evil in the world? Why is religion so often an influence for bad rather than for good?—Titus 1:16.

Yes. Religion won't save you. Jesus Christ saves. I asked Him into my life many years ago as Lord and Savior and He has been a faithful friend. There are many "churches" around teaching false doctrine. What I recommend is that you read the New Testament, starting with the Gospel of John. Pray for God's will and direction in your life. Don't be surprised though if later in your life you begin to have a desire for Christian fellowship in a Bible-believing church. God changes peoples' lives - some quickly, some slowly.

There are huge differences between believing in God or practicing religion than actually having a relationship w/ God Religion is mans efforts to get to God on his own merits instead of relying on the salvation plan God has provided for us through Jesus Christ. It could be the "religious" side of you is questioning are you missing something. Christianity is the only faith in which God provides the plan of salvation that we have to accept freely, recognizing we can't do or haven't done anything to earn that salvation. It is simply impossible. That's why God provided the way for us. Religious people of all faiths have a hard time accepting they can't do

anything to earn their way to peace with God. Christ is the peace. So, if you've never truly considered Christ, you might ask God to show you which way to go and to let you know His peace and His Son. God promises that those who earnestly seek Him will find Him, so I urge you, kiddo, seek Him earnestly and you will not be disappointed. Best wishes to you - I will pray for your journey. I'm open minded, too, people need space to walk their own paths and we must allow and respect their rights to do that. We are all at different points in the journey and therefore will not all agree on the same things. I was the most radically gay person who totally turned around but still love gay people and hang with them. We don't have to agree, we do need to learn how to get along though.

Sorry if I sound rude (gonna go anonymous on this)

But are you an idiot? You are the one who decides this stuff. If you like believe than you do. If you don't then you don't. It is OK if you do.

We can't prove he exists. We can't prove he doesn't exist.

You can believe without being affiliated with religion. I'm not sure if I believe or not but I do know that I don't brand myself as one of the church. I only go on easter honestly (sometimes I don't). When I was 4 (bratty and arrogant) I said I hated church after some bad experiences with some of the people there). I don't believe in everything the church says (7 sins , Homosexuality etc.) I have differences in opinion however, this isn't about me.

All about what you believe in the end.

What important information is contained in the Bible?

Who is the Bible’s author? Why should you study the Bible?

The Bible is a precious gift from God. It is like a letter from a loving father to his children. It tells us the truth about God—who he is and what he stands for. It explains how to cope with problems and how to find true happiness. The Bible alone tells us what we must do to please God.—Psalm 1:1-3; Isaiah 48:17, 18. The Bible was written by some 40 different men over a period of 1,600 years, beginning in 1513 B.C.E. It is made up of 66 little books. Those who wrote the Bible were inspired by God. They wrote his thoughts, not their own. So God in heaven, not any human on earth, is the Author of the Bible.—2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21. God made sure that the Bible was accurately copied and preserved. More Bibles have been printed than any other book. Not everyone will be happy to see you studying the Bible, but do not let that stop you. Your eternal future depends on your getting to know God and doing his will despite any opposition.—Matthew 5:10-12; John 17:3.

People worship many things. But the Bible tells us that there is only one TRUE God. He created everything in heaven and on earth. Because he gave us life, he is the only One we should worship.—1 Corinthians 8:5, 6; Revelation 4:11. God has many titles but has only one name. That name is JEHOVAH. In most Bibles, God’s name has been removed and has been replaced with the titles LORD or GOD. But when the Bible was written, the name Jehovah appeared in it some 7,000 times!—Exodus 3:15; Psalm 83:18. Jehovah has a body, but it is not like ours. “God is a Spirit,” says the Bible. (John 4:24) A spirit is a form of life that is much higher than ours. No human has ever seen God. Jehovah lives in heaven, but he can see all things. (Psalm 11:4, 5; John 1:18) What, though, is the holy spirit? It is not a person like God. Rather, it is God’s active force.—Psalm 104:30. The Bible reveals Jehovah’s personality to us. It shows that his outstanding qualities are love, justice, wisdom, and power. (Deuteronomy 32:4; Job 12:13; Isaiah 40:26; 1 John 4:8) The Bible tells us that he is also merciful, kind, forgiving, generous, and patient. We, like obedient children, should try to imitate him.—Ephesians 5:1, 2. Should we bow down or pray to images, pictures, or symbols in our worship? No! (Exodus 20:4, 5) Jehovah says that we must worship only him. He will not share his glory with anyone or anything else. Images have no power to help us.—Psalm 115:4-8; Isaiah 42:8. How can we get to know God better? One way is by observing the things he has created and thinking deeply about what they tell us. God’s creations show us that he has great power and wisdom. We see his love in all that he has made. (Psalm 19:1-6; Romans 1:20) Another way we can learn about God is by studying the Bible. In it he tells us much more about the kind of God he is. He also tells us about his purpose and what he wants us to do.—Amos 3:7; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.

Yes it's okay to believe in God (Revelation 4:11) “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created.”

Yes, its OK to believe in anything you like , and to make it into your personal God. It only has to be your God, and not someone else's. However, don't forget that the Idea of a God is supposed to give you the confidence to become a better person, considerate to the needs of others, kind to all animals and care towards their needs, generally kind, reasonably polite, and to dislike the greedy and arrogant attitudes of others, and generally be a far better person than the sod you used to be.

You don't have to ram your conviction down the throat of others, it is your personal God, so act upon it and don't talk about it. Many folk have tried this approach, but to date non have really been totally successful.Try hard not to be as stupid as those who have gone before. Hope you make it.

Its perfectly okay to believe what ever you want to beleive provided you beliefs don't stop you from being a decent compassionate human being, and you don't use your beliefs as an excuse to discriminate against others. If Belief in god helps you and gives you some grounding/comfort during the storm, go for it I say. I wish I believed but don't think do - not enough evidence

Religion is a structure, or call it a tool of spiritual growth. Some people need it, some don't... Highly spiritual individuals may dispose religion on their journey. In that context, it is not a matter whether you disagree or not with a religious practice.

If you have never believed in God, but you experience a spiritual event..., then you would logically become a believer. All it takes is that spiritual event...

Nothing wrong in believing in something which is considered and respected as good, great and God. If he had been a human being you have to think before you start to believe. Belief makes wonders, even then it is better to think before you start. Regarding supreme power, nobody knows Him therefore nothing is bad about Him and therefore you can trust. While believing in God you must maintain your life into good and clean. Then only your belief can yield some good results.

It's OK to believe in an Almighty God who created the universe without believing in religion. There are so many religions today, each claiming to have the truth. The only truth is in the Bible itself. Read the Bible daily and ask God for understanding the truth of his word. Many denominations have misinterpreted the Bible and teach false doctrines. I am a Christian from childhood,. I believe in God and in Jesus as per the Bible, I no longer believe in religion.
2016-07-27 20:22:22 UTC
I'm an atheist even though my grandparents told me that I was born because of a prayer. Atheism means you have a lesser belief that a God exists. I believe in God a lot less than I don't believe in God.

Our species having a God is like saying that squirrels believe that they have a more powerful being guarding them and then that same squirrel gets killed by a car the next day. Plus, you don't see a shrine made from another animal in the essence of their God.

None if it really makes sense. Humans just would like to believe that they will be in a better place when they die besides the ground getting eaten alive by ants.. (but I don't believe in such wise tales and can't be fooled as much as the ordinary human being.)

It is ok to believe in God. I just choose not to. :D
2016-07-26 10:58:16 UTC
If you can believe, then it is fine. It may not be the same for you, but it seems like religion for many people is a source of hope and happiness. It can improve your life.

However, you need to actually believe. If you just tell yourself you believe just to make yourself feel better, it will probably blow up in your face at some point.

It's also okay to believe in the Easter Bunny , Santa , the Tooth Fairy and the Boogie Man ...

I turned to Taoism after my mother suffered a slow and painful death from cancer . She used to pray to Jesus . Nothing happened ....

Taoists believe in the Tao . The all powerful force in the universe . All things come from the Tao . It cannot be explained or understood . It just is . It has no gender and doesn't talk to people . No heaven / no hell . When you die your source of chi ( life force ) goes back to where it was before you were born .

I see what you're saying. Organized religion has become much like a chore-- mainly referring to Christianity. The church isn't what it used to be. Hypocracy is on every corner. Church used to be a suggestion; A place where you go to expand your faith. But now it has too many rules and too many stereotypes attached.

Be your own self. All that matters is that you follow the commandments and alway go where God leads you. Good luck in the military. My prayers are with you.
2016-07-27 12:56:16 UTC
Yes it is ok to do that. A half of me believes in God the other half doesn't. Reason why I do is because when I ask for something it happens. I don't because I have never seen God with my own eyes but I have seen ghost. I never believed in ghosts tell I seen them I don't know why I have to see something to believe it but that's just me. Believe what you want!:)

It's not OK because the god fantasy is bullsh!t. There is no evidence for it and it's not necessary. Also the fantasy is ridiculous. Magic is not real therefore magic god fairies are impossible. Period. There is nothing more to say about it.

Yes, but not based on credulity. There should evidence that strengthen belief in God. Romans 1:20

20 For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made,+ even his eternal power+ and Godship,+ so that they are inexcusable.

No it is not okay since a toddler kids are brain washed to believe in god which are the ways they do it? The place they live in how they scare children with it example "You go to hell if you dont believe in god" And they parent kick them out or hit them if they say they are "Athiest" if they do not respect your religion or the way you think they prefer god than their family thus they do not care about you.
?
2016-07-28 07:19:43 UTC
it is if you want to just dont shove it in peoples faces. For example - if I say that I am feeling a bit depressed today, I don't want somebody to come out with some crap like "ask God to help you"

The best thing to do if you want to believe in God is to believe in God but keep it to yourself and never discuss it with anyone or say anything about God to anyone else
?
2016-07-26 08:16:26 UTC
You can definitely believe in God and not be associated with a certain religion. Different religions have different beliefs and sometimes your values and beliefs don't match theirs. You have the right to believe in whatever you'd like to believe in.

At James 4:8 is says, Draw close to God and he will draw close to you. So just like a loving parent wants their children to draw close to them, well so does God. His name is Jehovah. At Psalms 83:18 tells us his name in which he wants all of us to call on him. There is absolutely nothing wrong with believing in God. Just make sure you called on God's real name so that he can make himself know to you. Jehovah already knows your name so why not take the time to get to his personal name and what he likes and dislikes??

At 17, what others think of us looms large in our concept of self. We dont want to be seen as different, weird or out of touch. As you get older, you will find that what others think about you will mean less and less as you determine for yourself what is important to you.

God is not very popular these days and nurturing a healthy relationship with Jesus is often seen as weak and unnecessary by those who dont know Him.

Bit if He is knocking at the door of your heart, seek Him where He may be found for this world will oneday pass away and your choice about Him will be the only thing that matters.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."- the Word of God.

The ideal type of faith is not when it is being pushed by material needs but by an inner need that desires to be fulfilled.

Many who are pushed by either material needs or peer pressure are to be disappointed.

Yes it might very well start on such footings but one needs to look back and ask questions about their faith every now and then. Just like any relationship one needs to check upon their bonds which every now and then have to be reviewed.

Yes..it's definitely okay, but first in order to do so it takes building faith and to do so is to look around you and see the beautiful trees, flowers, the power of the sun to give such heat and the moon, stars etc no man or thing could have created these. They are too wonderfully made....and food to grow like fruits and vegetables...also tell how his personality is....Caring and Loving!

You are fortunate to be in a country that leave you free to choose what you believe. Many people believe in a deity, but do not engage in any form of worship. My parents were like that.

I know two Christians, both of whom are convinced that they and they alone, know the true Christian faith. Unfortunately, they do not agree with one another. Each worships at him/her home privately.

You might enjoy taking a comparative religion class and look at lesser known faiths like the Druse and Sikhs.

There are a lot of people who share your view. Religion has not really helped them. That is one reason why we stand on bus stops and go door to door—because the churches have not told people the truth about God and his wonderful purpose for mankind.’

● ‘But I am sure that you are interested in your own future. Did you know that the Bible foretold the very conditions that exist in the world today? . . . And it shows what the outcome will be.’

Yes, believing in is God is good. but don't be superstitious. respect your religion, almighty, it's perfectly alright and it gives us positive aura and feeling good factor.

I too believe in God and I am happy. God is actually there for us at the time of need, help us.

GOD wants all of us to grow in faith to believe in him.

GOD has promised, in fact, those that seek him will find him.

GOD has facilitated this by coming as Christ to form a church.

Christianity has 1/3 of the world population following him.

It's okay to believe in anything you like. When that belief impacts on the freedom or safety of others, that is when it is not okay.

Being open to learn about God is a good thing. In fact we were not designed to live independently of him. Instead of focusing on the good and bad of religion, maybe for now just focus on getting to know God which you can do by reading the Bible. In the Bible, God reveals many things about himself. He makes known why he created human life, what he will do for mankind, and how he wants us to live. Also, you can pray to him. God is keenly interested in our innermost thoughts because he wants us to draw closer to him.

"I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

That exclusive statement by Jesus rules out establishments, traditions, regulations and all 'man-made' efforts to get to God, and therefore ultimately, heaven.

One God, only one way to Him.

The way is a person, not a religion.

it depends on you... will it do good for you? or will it affect bad on you?...

for example there are many believers of god who believe that they get extra courage and strength in believing in some kind of super natural power which is omnipotent... they believe that everything which is happening , either good or bad, is all a pre planned stuff of that omnipotent.... in other words... if they take in this way positively, they have a better life and understanding...

but some people take it in wrong way .. like... they regard non-believers as inferior and this leads to racism and other types of hatreds etc etc....

when you believe that there is a super natural power which is omnipotent ... and that power has created the best for me from his lot of luck... then it may give you strength in many perspectives......

personally, i am a hindu... and i believe that yes there is some kind of supernatural omnipotent power which is the 'source' of everything.. in other words, a 'zero' which created other numbers like one two three etc etc.........................

Yes.

Many believe in God just because of Science.

Ultimately belief in God is a in matter of faith but Science and logic can prove the existence of God beyond a reasonable doubt.

====

++ First Cause ++

Newton's Third Law of Motion states "For every action there is equal and opposite reaction." Every action in the universe was caused by a prior equal and opposite reaction.

If we logically follow each and every action and reaction back to the beginning then logically there has to be a first action without a prior equal and opposite reaction. Modern astrophysicists call this event the Big Bang.

This first action was completely independent of outside forces. This action was the un-caused cause creating the universe, a trans-physical being most call God. This proof also fulfills the principle of Occam's Razor.

By the way, it was Georges Lemaître (1894–1966), a Belgian Catholic priest and professor of physics and astronomy, who proposed what became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the Universe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Lema%C3%AEtre

++ Fine Tuning of the Universe ++

A universe in which life has a chance to exist can only happen in where a couple of dozen universal constants coincide, including:

+ Boltzmann's Constant

+ Cosmic Proton/Photon Ratio

+ Cosmological Constant

+ Electromagnetic Fine-Structure Constant

+ Electron or Proton Unit Charge

+ Gravitational Attraction Constant

+ Gravitational Fine-Structure Constant

+ Hubble Constant

+ Maximum velocity

+ Minimum interval of space

+ Minimum Mass of the Universe

+ Minimum unit of time

+ Permittivity of Free Space

+ Planck's Constant

+ Rest Mass of an Electron

+ Rest Mass of a Proton

+ Strong Nuclear Force Coupling Constant

+ Total Visible Rest Mass

+ Weak Fine-Structure Constant

+ Weak Force Coupling Constant

A couple of percent difference in any one of these constants would make the universe completely uninhabitable. Roger Penrose, a peer of Hawking, calculated that the chance of a universe capable of supporting life as we know it as one part in 10 raised to the power of 10 raised to the power of 123 (this means this fine tuning was mathematically impossible to have happened all by itself).

This fine tuning of the universe, while not an absolute proof of God, can be used to help prove the existence of God beyond a reasonable doubt (which is my claim).

it is wonderful that you do, god is real regardless of who say's he's not, there is no proof that he isn't real. looking around at all the world and universe has it's hard to not believe he isn't real. i feel it is better dying as a believer than dying as not one, seeing no one gets off this earth alive it's best to believe. good for you god loves that

You are free to believe or not. God will not compel you.

But ask yourself, would it make sense to commit to baseball, say,

If you are serious about God.why not link up with others who are also seeking?

You are in my prayers.

What things you think are bad in believing God. God is not in religions but in our own body. Christ said :-

1 Corinthians 3

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Religions are for man not man for religions. You can take advantage from teachings of every religion. They are made to guide us. But true search of God is within body. Get initiation or baptised from a living True Master of your lifetime and meditate (pray) with His blessing and guidance to see the Truth within your own body. Christ said to His followers :-

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Psalm 32;8)

Master physicaly guides us from outside and radiently in Word form from inside of the body.

Regarding the Jewish religious leaders of that time, he said:

“You have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition.

YOU HYPOCRITES, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you when he said:

‘This people honor me with their lips,

but their hearts are far removed from me.

It is in vain that they keep worshipping me,

for they TEACH COMMANDS OF MEN as DOCTRINES.’” (Matthew 15:6-9; compare with Isaiah 29:13.)

Christ also strongly warned his true followers to NOT get involved with the many false followers he would come to have:

"On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied ...

cast out demons ... & performed many miracles in your name.’

"But I will reply, ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU. GET AWAY FROM ME

you who BREAK GOD'S LAWS.’" (Matthew 7:22-23, NLT)

"For FALSE messiahs and FALSE prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders so as to DECEIVE, if possible, the chosen ones.

You, then, WATCH OUT. . . ." (Mark 13:22-23, NLT)

This makes it clear that true Christians will have no part with those who teach false things about God & God's Word. For Christ describes his followers in this way:

"Nevertheless ... the TRUE worshippers will worship the Father with spirit and TRUTH, for indeed, the Father is looking for ones like these to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him MUST worship with spirit and TRUTH." (John 4:23-24, NWT)

For this reason, the basis for deciding what truth is should be what God says, rather than what man-made religions teach, since . . .

"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness." (2 TImothy 3:16, NWT)

"For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were moved by holy spirit. (2 Peter 1:21, NWT)

"MAKE SURE of all things; hold fast to what is fine."

(1 Thessalonians 5:21, NWT)
