The tabernacle is the place where the law is kept. Because the law is kept at the tabernacle, the people must come together there, to celebrate the works of God.

There are at least two tabernacles of interest to Christians. The Old Testament tabernacle was a portable temple used by the Hebrews in the wilderness and their early pre-kingdom days. It was the designated place where the worship of God with sacrifices was made. It was replaced by a permanent temple designed by King David and built by King Solomon.

The tabernacle on a Christian altar (Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox) is a small enclosure where a small portion of the consecrated body and blood of Christ are kept in reserve, for use in Lenten services or emergency communion (say when someone is near death.)

It's not a courtroom.

Blessings.

It was a sacred tent, fashioned and erected under the leadership of Moses.

It housed the Ark of the Covenant and was the center of Israelite religion,

perhaps until the time of Solomon's temple. All of the dimensions and rooms

are outlined in Exodus 35-40, if you're really interested. The Holy of Holies was one

of the rooms where ony the Priest could enter once a year on the Day of

Atonement. You might also want to read Numbers l0-12, and Hebrews 8-9,

A tabernacle is usually a gold and silver container with a door , where the Eucharist is stored and protected when not being used.( sometimes a curtain shields the tabernacle) Tabernacles are found in churches, usually located above the altar.

In catholic faith, the tabernacle contains the body of jesus himself. So that is why its there. They keep the extra bread or body when it is transformed by the holy spirit. It is preciously kept in the tabernacle. I know it may seem crazy that bread becomes actual body, but god shows us so many eucharist miracles to prove to us and show us whats really taking place. The holy spirit comes down, and it becomes a different substance though it has the same physical appearance. If you want to see one, you can go to youtube and type in Eucharist Miracle of Naju. Press on i think the first one. You can see it. Alot of protestants think we are crazy because they dont understand whats happening and its not there fault. They dont understand. I mean wasnt bread and wine Jesus used, and said it was his breaad and body. You can search on the web eucharist miracles and so many will come up.

My " tabernacle" is on my yacht...it is the base on which the mast pivots so it can be lowered...in fact it is the SUPPORT of the driving force of the yacht.

As such the tabernacle of the religion is the central meeting place where members can gain SUPPORT in their efforts to please God.

this implies that no single person can do this solo...properly.'

We all NEED support.

It is no wonder that a yacht part is so aptly named.

My 'religious tabernacle' is my Kingdom Hall..where, i am pleased to say, I have been granted privileges [ duties].

The Tent of Meeting, or the tabernacle is a physical prophecy concerning Jesus. Every detail of the construction speaks of Jesus.

I suspect few of us would be surprised to see some who call themselves "atheists" enter the kindgom of heaven before some who call themselves "christian."

God looks on the heart, not the appearance.
