Why do Muslims get upset when someone draws Mohammed? I was raised Catholic and there are pictures of Jesus everywhere?

on stain glass windows, at my grandmother's house, at my grandmother's house again, at my grandmother's house again ect. Why do Muslims get so outraged when someone draws Mohammed? When I was writing this, I thought of another question, maybe you can try to answer. Why is Jesus mostly portrayed as a hippie white guy and when did this start? For as long as I can remember, Jesus is a white guy with long hair and a beard, who looks like he has not bathed in a few weeks.

The white hippy you ask of was started on Catholic ceilings! Since the Catholic religion refused to permit any of it's members to read a Bible, the artists did Not know what they said! Main reason: It's for respect for their prophet.

They didn't exactly know what he looked like so they don't have pictures of their God and prophets. They value their prophet very much and that's why they get upset if somebody draws him. However, not all get upset as well, it depends on the person.



Also prophet or not, other humans will feel the same thing if people try to draw their love ones that they haven't seen before and was told not to.

You are stating the reason well. We think Jesus is God. They do not. We freely draw images to remind us of past events and people. They restrict themselves from this, most especially the image of Mohammed.

OK. remember in the Old Testament where it does don't worship idols??? Very similar thing in Islam. Muslims believe that Christians worship idols trhough the pictures of Jesus.

So drawing a pic of muhammad is like woshiping him, which is 100% wrong. God is the one who sent Jesus, who sent Muhammad. We should all be worshipping God and no one else.
