Question:
Is The Bible God Truly Almighty? Or A Limited God out of the Hebrew Imagination?

When I think ALMIGHTY, I cannot even fathom it. But the closest I can think of is what the ocean is in relation to a single plankton, or what an elephant is in relation to a single bacterium on its poop.

How could WE possibly even have any impact whatsoever on such a Being as far as making it offended or jealous or vengeful against us. It's like a scientist getting angry at an ant colony or something.

Why does the Old Testament God seem so....human? insecure? petty sometimes even?

As the Creator of the universe, God is in every reasonable definition "almighty."

I don't see that the Old Testament degrades this in any way.

Being outside of out time, God can, and does, care for and take notice of us; both individually and collectively. We are the purpose of the creation.

God wants all to reconciled to him.

Being jealous is not always an inappropriate thing. If your spouse (if you are married) "steps out" it is completely appropriate (though that does not justify a over-the-top response).

God is stern in the OT. Each of his actions is appropriate (Yes, I did say that.) for the situation.

The Bible God as you put it is truly Almighty. He is the maker of heaven and earth. The Bible made us to understand that there was nothing created that was not created by him. He laid the foundation of the earth without pillars. Everything created was out of his spoken word. The Almighty God does not change. From eternity to eternity he remains the same. He has no beginning and has no end. He created us to obey and worship him. At the end this same God will judge us.Though he is a loving God, but he is a consuming fire also. His eyes do not behold iniquity.

He is the Great I AM, all the way through Scripture and also know as "The Word of God" or said another way The Word of God is also the inner most being of Jesus and that is why He said, "My Kingdom is not of this world and I will build my Church and the Gates of hell will not prevail against it. Jesus is still building His church up in Heaven and it is in the east as it was in the Old Testament and just beyond our Republican wing on the east side of the actual cross and up in the invisible realm of the Spirit. Our already eternal inner most being comes from the Kingdom of Christ up in Heaven and it is literally God's will that we live up in Heaven while alive in our flesh with the Trinity. Up in Heaven we then have the Lord's perspective of what is happening down on earth where Lucifer's Kingdom rules. Our calling is to aid in getting man kind OFF the earth because it was cursed in Genesis and is still under the rule and authority of Lucifer's eternal Kingdom.

The God in the Bible isthe only God and he is truly almighty and he is not a vengeful God what he does is because he loves us and has a bigger plan for us a plan that we can not see. If he didn't love us why would he send his only son to die on the cross for us?

The God of Israel (the Christian God) has unlimited powers with His creation. That is why He can do anything He wants with His creation. However, God Himself does have limits. For example, God cannot hate a person, or sin.
