Christians who have ever gardened or farmed...how do you get or keep 'good soil'?

Now in the days Jesus spoke of, seed could just...spring up, but not today.

What must be done today to ensure a seed of the Word can take root within
the soil or heart?

You need water, most of all. Water literally and symbolically is what sustains life. Physically speaking we need water to stay hydrated and survive. Spiritually speaking we need happiness, love and respect for others and ourselves to survive.



Everyone needs both to survive, its just that the methods of acquiring them differ from person to person.



So that is how you get the seed to grow, give it water. Ya na' mean? Love and perseverance increases your faith. But don't hog all the water to yourself give it away to everyone, it will help their plants grow, and even give it to those who have casted the seed away. Again, metaphorically speaking.
