2. I'm not saying that the clergy who do that are right in what they do, but the clergy is supposed to remain celebate even though sex is natural in human life. How can an animal remain celibate without giving in to any sexual temptation? It isn't natural to remain celibate.

No, I question that clergy should be alone as you have stated. The Bible says on a number of occasions that it is not good for Man to be alone. Paul in 1 Cor. 7 says that it is better to be alone, but it is better not be burn with lust therefore people should get married.

That being said, while what those priests did was horrible and they need to be punished to the fullest extant of the law, the amount of instances of sexual abuse in the church is at best about the same as the rest of the world, and lower than public school.
