Question:
Are there any anti-theists out there that still find religion and spirituality interesting?

I sure do. Even though I believe it is mal-productive and redundant I can't help view it as a primitive evolution of ideas.

So far it has helped me in strategising video and board games as well as conceptualising simple variable programming in Assembly and High-Level programming language.

Although I believe religion to be obsolete it could hold the key to simplifying the algorithm needed to induce true Artificial Intelligence due to the fact that in such a scenario it would negate reason under all circumstances to pursue a targeted goal.

Ahh, yet there are theists and there are theists - and particular sorts of theists are additionally disliked- or are you telling me no longer something undesirable is ever stated with regard to the Jewish, Muslims or all of the various styles of Pagans hereabouts? they are all theists, and that they seem to greater many times get attacked by employing different theists fairly than atheists. sure, there are some very militant types from each team that wander around right here, publish an surprising style of solutions -and questions - and a few that attack others many times. that may easily make it appear like a battleground, some days greater effective than maximum. yet - and a large yet - there are some very valid questions with regard to right here, some very stable solutions and a few impressive people who do their ultimate to respond to questions without attacking others.

I have always found religion to be interesting. I think thats why I never actually believed it. I spent enough time studying different religions that I started finding common threads that made it look like one religion was taking stories from other older religions and calling them their own. Huge parts of the jesus story are very similar to older roman and greek gods, almost every religion has had a flood story of some sort etc...

Yes, Joseph Campbell got me hooked. The universality of archetypes across cultural boundaries is fascinating. You CAN'T truly understand sociology or psychology unless you also understand the underlying spiritual belief system.

Religion is useful to humankind. Even if you don't believe in it, you cannot deny the benefits it provides to individuals and wider society, doesn't matter if the religion is Christianity or Buddhism.

Is that the reason we don't have A.I yet?

The algorithms are too complex?

Wtf, what do we even pay these programmers for?
