I can't remember actually believing in Santa, I just thought it was a bit of fun. I was also read Thomas the Tank engine stories but I never went to a train station thinking I could talk to the trains

In the Czech Republic, a group of advertising professionals started a website against Santa Claus, a relatively recent phenomenon in that country. Czech Christmases are intimate and magical. All that Santa stuff seems to me like cheap show business," said David König of the Creative Copywriters Club, pointing out that it is primarily an American and British tradition. "I'm not against Santa himself. I'm against Santa in my country only." In the Czech tradition, presents are delivered by Ježíšek, which translates as Baby Jesus.

I do not believe in Santa Claus and I agree with the Czech Republic it is cheap show business .Also it can kill other peoples traditions in different lands.Or at least water it down some.

I always knew that talking trains was a bunch of BS. But when I was very young (5 or 6 years old), I really did believe in Santa. I didn't know any better.

I did very youthful yet whilst united states of america in South Africa u start to question y the destructive don't get any and y some human beings get plenty greater desirable than others (I used to get a stocking load at the same time as my acquaintances in hassle-free terms have been given a million present). yet I formally stopped believing whilst my mothers and fathers shown it on the age of 8 (took a while of nagging to get the affirmation) yuletide has nvr been an identical TT_TT

Yes I did at one point in my childhood. I would wake up Christmas morning, and suddenly stuff that distinctly wasn't under the tree the previous evening had arrived somehow during the night.

Curiously, the handwriting on the to/from tags seemed to resemble my dad's, but at the time I didn't care.

Interesting question though, who knows how far our own suspension of disbelief can take us.

No. Never believed in Santa. I always have loads of trouble understanding how kids can believe in him and especially when they visit those fake santas... how do they ever fall for it?!

I don't ever recall believing in Santa, but I do recall listening to my friends in kindergarten talk about Santa and thinking "Santa isn't real".

As a kid never believed santa was real. I knew my parents provided the gifts, even at a young age

No. My parents decided from the beginning not to lie to me about Santa. But they taught me to be very respectful toward children who believed in him.

No, but I pretended I did because it was the "cool" thing in second grade.

Random 2nd Grader: "DUDE, I saw Santa last night, FOR REAL!"

Me: "Oh, uh, yeah, me too...He ate cookies and left presents and all that $hit...totally.."

Yeah, I cursed when I was that young.

I was a strange child.

Well yeah - until about the age of 12 when my parents eventually let the cat out of the bag...

Funnily enough, I never believed in Jesus, but then he never delivered....... To me anyway.

I'm guessing that's why the question is in this section?

Nope. dont think I did. I believed in fairies at the bottom of the garden for a long time though, but then, my parents always encouraged my imagination.
