Why are atheist so thin skinned?

Atheists seem to like to dish it out but when you criticize them they react like you just raped their mother in the eye. I believe it is because of the Dunning-Kruger effect, atheists seems to think they are experts at everything just because they are atheists. Any criticism directed at them seems to them a direct attack at them, then they cry like babies and fundies that we are persecuting them just because we pointed out a flaw in their "arguments", then when it comes to jokes, they just don't get them...like fundies. And never point out to an atheist that many of them lack social graces and decorum, they will whine that you are being mean. And don't let be go on about how atheism lacks the aesthetics of religion because they'll tell you that atheism has aesthetics but you just can't see them. Face it, atheism is artless in it's approach.

Perhaps with some Atheists, You'd have to come up with actual examples since to use a broad stroke in branding a picture of millions and millions of people into that description is a hasty generalization fallacy. You can find people who are not Atheists fitting into your definition, so whether or not one is an Atheist would seem irrelevant. The only thing I could possibly point out is that for many Atheists, they come from religious upbringings and many of them have been ridiculed, threatened, and cutoff by friends and even family once they came out as a non-believer. So it's understandable why certain Atheists may still have resentment towards the religious.

Atheism is just not believing gods are real. That's it. There is nothing more to it.



Each atheist came to their own conclusion about gods following their own reasoning. They do not offer an argument. They have nothing to claim. They simply say they do not believe gods are real. There is no aesthetic in that? Why would there be? It is like saying they don't believe in fairies. I am sure you would say that.



If you have proof gods are real, that would refute the position of every atheist in the world. Have you got that proof and, if so, what is it? If you have no proof of gods, then what is the 'flaw in atheist's argument' you think you have found?



I am sorry you fail to understand atheism or the honesty of atheists when they say they do not believe gods are real. How could we explain it in simpler terms for you?

An interesting and good thing about how Christ taught is that for sinners and the lost, He taught the Good News. Only for the religious that were hypocritical did He become sharply (and very sharply!) critical.... It's good to remember that anytime we get angry, it's a very good time to take a break, and pray the prayer Christ Jesus gave you and me to pray each day, in Matthew chapter 6.



So, while your criticism is true, and anyone could be criticized, it's the Good News they need, because they are the lost, not the hypocritical.
