Globalization infers a commonality between the individuals in a global society-----while it could be argued that genocide wipes out the aspects of a preglobalized society that do not wish to conform to some global norm--typically genocide in the past has been about acquistion of weath or power. For example--Nazi germany--the master race/jews being inferior was a smokescreen. The Jews in germany and neighboring countries held a signficant portion of industry, wealth, and power. How to remove those assests and put them in control of the nazi party without pissing off the rest of the german people yielded genocide. If a substantial portion of assests would have been in the hands of left handed atheists, then the holocaust would have involved large numbers of left handed atheists as a component. Hitlers plan gave them control of industry--as well as gave them a rational for wiping out the lower non-productive people in the Reich. Having said all that--was abhorent--was a crime against humanity--but that's the reason things worked out as they did. So back to your arguement===in order to globalize by force---the major assests of the globe would need to be controlled by the faction attempting globalization--therefore this genocide would have been a way to increase the odds of a forced globalization successful. Globalization can also be acheived eventually by interconnecting the markets--a global economy will eventually acheive a peaceful globalization.

I think the underlying connection is the money. Globalization is in the hands of those who loan money with interest, for they gain the exclusive right to create money through the control that debt brings.
Genocide is a symptom of globalization in that it is the transfer of wealth on the lowest level. On the lowest level life becomes worth less than their scarce supplies. Following low valued life, comes the crimes of; stealing, killing, raping, and destruction of populations.

For one thing, populations are often displaced in order to accommodate corporate interests. Research Sudan, genocide and Talisman energy for an example.
Furthermore, globalization also means standardization. Aid is often tied to statistics and what the west perceives as progress. Traditional tribal living is often seen as a liability for countries trying to demonstrate progress. So tribal societies are often persuaded, sometimes by force to abandon their ways of life. It's not always pretty.

Well McDonald's is spreading their globalizing evil and FORCING these native tribes to order Big Macs with extra cheese and large fries and milk shakes and getting heart disease resulting in genocide. It's all mapped out in the US Constitution.

Globalization tends to stop genocide. With more communication, now "the world is watching" and these regional bloodbaths get attention, quicker.
On the downside, with globalization, religional dictators in little backwaters, have access to larger weapons of terror, such as nerve gas and that kind of thing. Their killing machine becomes more efficient due to more advanced technology :(
