Question:
If after Jesus "died for their sins" the Christians were exempt from the covenants made it the Old Teste. . .?

A number of covenants (contracts) were made between God and His followers in the Old Teste. The promises made on the part of the people included, but were not limited to, such things as keeping kosher and circumcising their male babies. According to my research into Christian lore, the reason Christians don't have to do these things is because the act of Jesus "dying for their sins" made them exempt from fulfilling their end of the contracts (sounds to me like a giant cop-out, but I digress).

My question is this:
Would this not also mean that God Himself would be exempt from fulfilling HIS end of the contracts (not ending the earth in a flood, giving them the Promised Land, letting them and their seed into Heaven etc.)?

It would seem only fair that if one party no longer needs to live up to their side of the contract, that the contract would become null and void, thus removing any responsibility towards the contract held by the other party.

However, from what I've heard, Christians still expect God to fulfill His end. This sounds suspiciously like they're trying to cheat Him out of the contract. And they say that I hate God?

God's plan has been this way since the day he created the earth. The Old Testament spoke specifically about his "chosen people", namely the Jews. The reason?? They were the only group of people who consistently worshipped and obeyed the one and only true God, while the other nations worshipped idols and paid homage to pagan altars. The Old Testament Jews will still be in heaven since Christ's birth, death and resurrection hadn't come to pass until some 500 years later. When the New Testament arrived, it's known as the "new law". Therefore, the Old Testament no longer binds, at least for the Christians. Once Christ was born, the new christian law and era came into effect, so now all of the people born during the birth of Christ and after, are only bound to the new law of the New Testament. The Old Testament related primarily to the Jews. Those of us who are christians partake of the new law. However, God's plan was to continue as is, until Christ comes back and fulfills the rest of the prophecy which is yet to come. Christians are still required to obey God in all things in the New Testament. His prophecies will come true no matter what we choose.

The New Covenant is the law of the Spirit of life is better than the Old Covenant which is the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2, 2 Corinthians 3:6-9). The New Covenant gives us life through faith and rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ, the Old Covenant brings death because men cannot fulfill its requirements by their own efforts weighed down by their carnal nature. If the first Covenant ie the Old Covenant has been faultless then no place would have been sought for a second ie the New Covenant which was established on better promises (Hebrews 8:6,7). God bless you.

Acts chapter 15 should help you with this. God's Covenant in the Old Testament was made with the Hebrew people not the Gentiles Verse 9 He made no distinction Between us and them for by faith he purified their hearts. Verses19-20 are on diet, marriage, and idols. Messianic Jews from what I understand still hold to the covenants made with the Hebrew people because they are Hebrew themselves.

Romans Chapter 2 verses 17-29 Judgment by the Mosaic Law specifically 28-29 One is not a Jew outwardly . True circumcision is not outwardly, in the flesh Rather one is a Jew inwardly, and circumcision ia of the heart in the spirit not in the letter: his praise is not from human beings but from God.

We are still held to the moral laws set down by the Covenant. Jesus said that I have not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it.

No one is "exempt" from any covenant. It is the Christian faith that we have a new covenant with God, and that covenant was created by God.

This is a fair question. First it was prophesied in the Old testament that God would make a new covenant with man.

Jer 31:31-34 KJV Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: (32) Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: (33) But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (34) And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

This was addressed in the New testament in two areas first here.

Heb 8:6-13 KJV But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. (7) For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. (8) For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: (9) Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. (10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (11) And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. (12) For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (13) In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

And also here:

Act 15:18-22 KJV Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. (19) Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: (20) But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. (21) For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. (22) Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

James The brother of Jesus was the head of the early church there was a big question on what to do with the gentiles that came into the church and this was the decision on what to do. There were some that wanted the gentiles to get circumcised and follow the dietary laws. This was the only part of the old testament law that was placed on them to keep. The Jewish believers still had to keep the law of the old testament.

The one thing God does is "watch over his word to preform it",although it takes a spiritual mind to understand and believe this.I can answer for me....I do expect God to fulfill all of his word.

Yes you do hate God, because you don't love anyone but yourself.
