Question:
Christians, we can't know the day or hour of the Son's return, so could we get it narrowed down to 1 of 2 days?

Yes, we can narrow down and prepare for the time of the year of His coming by observing the Day of Trumpets as commanded in the Torah, though the exact year is more difficult to determine. He desires our love for Him all the time and not just the last minute.

The reason why we cannot know the exact day and hour is because He will return on the Day of Trumpets:

Joel 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

Joel 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet,

The Day of Trumpets is the only Appointed Time of YHVH of Leviticus 23 that occurs precisely at the the appearing of the New Moon signifying the beginning of the month.

Unlike all other Appointed Times and Feast Days which are counted a prescribed number of days from the appearing of the New Moon which can be determined and known.

Day of Trumpets begins at the very sighting of the New Moon, the first day of the month:

Lev 23:24 "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'In the seventh month on the first of the month, you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

Day of Atonement, ten days after the New Moon:

Lev 23:27 "On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble your souls and present an offering by fire to the LORD.

Feast of Booths / Tabernacles, fiftteen days after the New Moon:

Lev 23:34 "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD.

The Eighth Day, the day after at the ending of Tabernacles:

Lev 23:36 'For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.

Passover, the fourteenth day after the New Moon:

Lev 23:5 'In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight is the LORD'S Passover.

Unleavened Bread, the fifteenth day after the New Moon:

Lev 23:6 'Then on the fifteenth day of the same month there is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

First Fruits, the first day of the week after the 7th day Sabbath following Passover:

Lev 23:11 'And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD for you to be accepted; on the day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

Shavuot / Pentecost, fifty days from First Fruits:

Lev 23:16 'You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the LORD.

Isa 66:23 "And it shall be from new moon to new moon And from sabbath to sabbath, All mankind will come to bow down before Me," says the LORD.

The Bible is not in agreement with that article, however it makes many points similar to what the Bible does support. Meaning, Jesus Christ is definitely going to come during the first half of the seventh month in God's Calendar (which does not necessarily exactly agree with the Jewish calendar). But the Bible does not support the false doctrines of a Secret Rapture nor a Seven-year Tribulation during which all those whom are supposedly "left behind" will have a second chance.

Instead, Revelation reveals that everyone, including the Church, will go through the 42 months (three and one-half years) of the tribulation followed by the Second Coming of Jesus -- mostly likely, on the Day of Atonement. The Feast of Trumpets will be the day that God announces, from Heaven, to the world, the day and the hour of Christ's Coming. The seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles we will spend for Jesus as we slowly journey back to Heaven while Christ shows His Redeemed off to the Universe. The eighth day of the Feast is called the Last Great Day of the LORD and is the first day in Heaven at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

God bless.

As you know, I am not a rapture guy but a resurrection guy.

When the last trumpet sounds(7th trumpet) the dead are raised and those that are alive are changed making up the 144,000 that are to rule and reign with Jesus during the millenium. This is the very day of Jesus Christ's return or "The day of the Lord." Those 144,000 are the Church who God has called, brought to repentance, converted, revealed his truth to and worked with over the last 6000 years. They include those in the Church in the wilderness/Congregation of Isreal (Old testament saints) and those on and after Pentecost (New testament saints)

When Jesus was here and in the flesh it was true that he or no man new the day or hour of his second coming to establish God's Kingdom because God had not yet revealed that truth.

Now, Jesus has been resurrected and is seated at the right hand of God and all things are given unto him. Now, as God reveals to Jesus, Jesus reveals to the Church.

Look at this scripture in Daniel 12

12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

The feast of Trumpets 2008 ( Tues Sept 30 ) was indeed a monumentous Feast. It concluded the final sealing of the 144,000. Counting ahead 1335 days brings us the the exact day of Pentecost 2012 ( Sun May 27 ) and the day of the return of Jesus Christ.

Pentecost is firstfruits and the 144,000 are the firstfruits (1st resurrected) into God's Eternal Kingdom. The rest of mankind make up the final harvest at the 2nd resurrection at the end of the millenium.

Daniel 12:9

And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Are we at the time of the end yet?

I think to know (or at least to be reasonably certain) of) THE APPROXIMATE day or SEASON of His return is entirely possible. - but one should be careful not to be dogmatic or divisive about it.

Many people who study it out are convinced that THE MOST LIKELY time the LORD would return for His Bride would be during the Feast of Trumpets, or the Feast of Tabernacles. - GOD is very deliberate and MEANINGFUL in all that He does.

The important thing, of course, is to be READY and STAY ready. To be watchful and prayerful about our walk with GOD in these perilous times. NOT fearful; WATCHFUL.

A good question you asked. I wonder what the prophetic ministry and word thru Timothy has declared in that regard. ?

HOW CLOSE ARE WE? ... 2012 could EASILY be the mid-point or the beginning point of the Judgements of GOD.

WATCH and PRAY.

I read part of your article...

"Biblical reasons that the rapture may occur around September 9th, 2010"

How is this for an alternative. The reign of the antichrist is 42 months. The world over, December 21, 2012 is a prophetic date from many different religions and histories. Forty-two months prior to December 21, 2012 is June 21, 2009, which is a perfect date to start a Tribulation. First day of Spring (birth) culminating in the first day of winter, often used to symbolized death.

As for the rapture, I think it's already occurred. And what we're seeing the beginning stages of is a transformation of earth as it is now, to what it will be as a new earth.

The most important thing to remember is this: we must live each day as if it is today that Jesus is returning, that way we are always prepared. Ever wondered why Jesus told his Disciples to always be on the look out, but that was 2000 years ago? So, don't worry about the day, just be ready.

God is the only one who knows exactly when Jesus Christ will return. The angels do not know and even Jesus Himself knows. It says in

Matthew 24:36-37

36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Everyone can guess or pick a date all they want. Only God will know the day and the hour.

The rapture will be in early May or late April of whatever year it occurs (SoS 2; Matt. 24; Deut. 16).

If there's any credence to the 2012 nonsense, that would place it in May of this year.

If not, the most likely years coming up are 2011, then 2014, based on the metatonic cycles of the Jewish Calendar. Although, I've got a feeling that we're due for it sometime after 2025.

No - but we can know the time as prophecy unfolds before our eyes we can know how close it is getting but even if all the prophecies were fulfilled except the desecration - Who knows how long God will give us still to reach all. Only God knows when the last one who can be saved will be saved and all we can do is never give up and never lay down and assume all is hopeless even as prophecies comes true

Biblically, we can watch for the seasons, but I don't think trying to tie it down so close is necessary. I'd say to go along with what Jesus said, to just keep watch and go about it like it could be any year, day, minute, or second.

Absolutly, 2 Peter 3:8

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

I honestly don't think it will be a day that we expect it to be. It could be tomorrow, it could be another century. God knows what He is doing. Instead of pinpointing when it will happen, why not worry about the here and now?

If you don't know the day or hour how can you narrow it down. Not logical
