God cannot die. Not even a part of God can die. (Rom. 5:10; Acts 5:30; 1 Cor. 15:3; Hab.1:12; cf. 1 Tim. 6:16; Num. 23:19; Ps. 90:2; Dan. 6:25-26)

Therefore, it makes sense for the Bible to show that Jesus is not God but is God's Son.

"Are you not from of old, O Lord my God, my Holy One? You shall not die." (Hab. 1:12) NRSV (If Jesus were God, and God is immortal, Jesus could not have died.)

"Jesus, whom God raised from the dead, and we all are witnesses of this." (Acts 2:32) NLT. (If Jesus were God, did This scripture shows that Jesus did not raise himself up from the dead. Someone else did...God, separate person from Jesus.)

God's Law to ancient Israel required "soul for soul [or, life for life]." (Exodus 21:23) So the death covering mankind's transgressions would have to equal what Adam had lost. Only the death of another perfect man could pay the wages of sin. 1 Timothy 2:6 & Romans 5:16, 17 outline that Jesus came to earth to become such a man. Jesus is God's Son who came to Earth and was "a corresponding ransom" for the saving of all redeemable mankind descended from Adam.

Concerning "torture stake", below is a statement by one of Christendom's favorite NT Greek experts:

"STAUROS ... denotes, primarily, an upright pale or stake. On such malefactors were nailed for execution." - W. E. Vine, p. 248, An Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, Thomas Nelson, Inc., Publishers.

Did Jesus Really Die on a Cross?

Didn't we answer you guys in 325 A.D.?

Christians believe that there is one God consisting of three persons - the Father, the Son / Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit *1. Also that Jesus has two natures, being fully divine and fully human *2. There are a few people who believe that He died spiritually (annihilation), but this is not a Christian doctrine. Only God, being a perfect and sinless sacrifice, could have physically died for our sins *3. Those who put their trust in Jesus, accepting this atonement for sin, are saved - becoming His Sons.

p.s. The stauros / crux then used in Israel would have either been the commissa (T), or the immissa (+), and Matthew 27:37 would point to the later.

Green Grass: Deuteronomy 21:22-23 says "if a man have committed a sin worthy of death". A parallel verse is in Galatians 3:13 "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree". Being 'made a curse' means that He, while being innocent, paid the penalty for us - dying in our place.

*1 Isaiah 48:12-13, 16; Matthew 28:19; John 20:21-22; Acts 20:27-28(!); Romans 15:16, 30; 1Corinthians 2:2-5, 12:4-6; 2Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 3:14-21, 4:4-6; 1Thessalonians 1:2-6; 2Thessalonians 2:13-14; Hebrews 10:29-31; 1Peter 1:2, 4:14; 1John 3:21-24, 4:13-16; Jude 1:20-21.

*2 Mark 1:1; John 9:35-38, 20:27-28; Ephesians 1:20-21; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews chapter 1 (8).

*3 John 1:29, 19:30; Romans 5:8, 8:14; 1Corinthians 1:18-24, 2:2, 15:1-4; 2Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 4:4-7, 5:5, 6:14; Colossians 2:12-15; Hebrews chapter 2, 7:26-27; 1Peter 1:19.

Jesus said in prayer to his Father "Sanctify them by technique of the reality. Your note is reality (John 17:17) and the apostle Paul suggested at Titus a million:2 that God can't lie .(also see Numbers 23:19). therefore, as witnesses of Jehovah and followers of Jesus Christ, they adhere to the Bible because the finest authority on faith (the frame of mind to life). therefore, that's necessary Jehovah's Witnesses that no longer purely the shape in which Jesus died be precise yet all issues with regards to Jehovah God, his purpose and his son, Jesus, be precise in accordance to God's note, the Holy Scriptures (the Bible).) with regards to using the note "bypass", Vines Expository Dictionary on words of the recent testomony states that the popular translation of the note "stauros" is an upright stake or pole. The words used contained in the Greek Interlinear Scriptures concerning the technique of Jesus' lack of life are "stauros" (extensively speaking an upright stake or pole) no longer "crux" (bypass) and "stauroo" (hung on a stake) no longer "crucified". also, the outcome of being impaled to a stake with the palms nailed above the top and the legs instantly down with the feet nailed to the stake might want to reason the tkdiaphragm to break down by way of lack of the increasing of the chest and lungs interior a short era of time ensuing contained in the lack of ability to breathe, and certain lack of life. The Jews were to blame to execute Jesus (John 19:5-7, 14-16; Luke 23:20-25; Mark 20:10-15), no longer the Romans. actual, the Israelites less than the Mosaic regulation had certain criteria for providing blood sacrifices; although, those serving Jehovah God less than his son's (Jesus Christ's) appointed rulership are not any more less than the regulation of Moses--Hebrews 9:a million-13, 23, 24. therefore, less than the recent covenant (Luke 22:19, 20) Jesus presented his ransom sacrifice to God in heaven as a propitiatory sacrifice for mankind's sins (a million John 2:2).

The problems we have here are firstly that your WT teaches that anyone who believes God is triune is confused and believes in a schizophrenic God! The second problem that we have is that the WT teaches that Jesus was an angel in the flesh! Would love to see the scriptural evidence for this by the way!

The aspect of the trinity is hard for you to grasp because the WT teaches a false Christ. Furthermore, it preaches a false gospel!

And Jesus did NOT die on torture stake it was a cross.

I prefer to believe the BIBLE not the Watchtower thanks.

I believe that Jesus and his father are different persons but having one purpose, same acts or feeling.

but not part of trinity.

Trinity is mysterious, complicated.

God is not a God of Disorder.

The word of God will teach us that we can easily understand.

so at that point, Jesus can't resurrect himself actually because he should be dead (not to exist) to redeem us.

and he resurrected by his father, the true God.

ACTUALLY, THE WORD BIBLE IS CAME FROM THE WORD BIBLIOS, MEANING SMALL BOOKS.

BUT THE PEOPLE LONG TIME AGO THEY CALL THE BIBLE HOLY SCRIPTURES, EVEN IN THE NEW TESTAMENT THE CALL IT HOLY SCRIPTURES.

THAT'S WHY THE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES NAME THE BIBLE "NEW WORLD TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES."

I guess you personally are going to have to learn what metaphor means. Your question derives from an inadequate understanding of metaphor versus literal meaning. The brain needs to keep growing until about thirty in order to take in and process these subtleties. I'll bet that in time, if you have a chance, you'll look back at questions like this and cringe.

Others will obviously make up their own minds.

That's an easy one. The bible of course!!!

In any translation you read it clearly states at (John 3:16) . . .“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. . .

Doesn't say he gave himself------his son is who died for all exercising faith.

Jesus is God manifest (wrapped in) flesh.

He said, "I and My Father are One", and "When you see Me, you've seen the Father".

There are many other examples, these are just a couple.

Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

These are HIs titles, not His name.

His Name is Jesus. He is the LORD God Almighty.

I'd be more inclined to believe the organization that has had more experience (and a less dodgy beginning). But really, it all sounds preposterous.

Muslims respect and revere Prophet Jesus (Peace be upon him), and await his Second Coming. They consider him one of the greatest of God’s messengers to mankind. A Muslim never refers to him simply as ‘Jesus’, but always adds the phrase ‘upon him be peace’. The Quran confirms his virgin birth (an entire chapter in the Quran is entitled ‘Mary’), and Mary is considered the purest woman in all creation. The Quran describes the Annunciation as follows:

“‘Behold!’ the Angel said, ‘O, Mary, indeed God has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above the women of the worlds. O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him, whose name shall be the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near to God. He shall speak to the people from his cradle and in maturity, and shall be of the righteous.’ She said: ‘O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?’ He said: ‘Even so; God creates what He will. When He decrees a thing, He says to it, ‘Be!’ and it is.’”(The Final Testament, i.e. Quran, 3:42-47)

Jesus was born miraculously through the same power which had brought Adam into being without a father: ‘Truly, the likeness of Jesus with God is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, and then said to him, ‘Be!’ and he was. (The Glorious Quran, 3:49)

God is not Jesus. Even Jesus himself rejects this. God said in the Quran:

‘Indeed, they have disbelieved who have said, “God is the Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary.” The Messiah (Jesus) said, “Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord. Whoever associates partners in worship with God, then God has forbidden Paradise for him”(The Noble Quran-5:72)

About the coming of the last prophet Muhammad, The Holy Quran states in 61:6 that Jesus explicitly mentioned the name Ahmad: “And (remember) when Jesus Son of Mary said: ‘O, children of Israel! I am the Apostle of Allah(sent ) to you confirming the Torah (which came) before me, and give glad tidings of an Apostle to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad(i.e. the second name of Prophet Muhammad, and literally it means the one who praises Allah more than others).”

Jesus had mentioned in John 16:14 that “He shall glorify me”.

1. “He shall glorify me” (John 16:14). Actually the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad[Peace be upon him] have more reverence for Jesus[Peace be upon Him] than the Bible and Christians themselves. The following will clarify:

a. To believe in his death on the cross discredits his prophet hood according to Deuteronomy 13:5: “And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death…” It also stamps him as accursed (May God forbid!) according to Deuteronomy 21:22-23: “…for he that is hanged is accursed of God…”

b. Matthew 27:46: “…My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Could this not come from someone other than Jesus? Even a Non-Prophet would smile at agony as he knew that his death would win him a title of martyr. Was this not an insult to Jesus in not having faith in God?

c. Muslims cannot believe that Jesus could label the Gentiles as dogs and swine and address his mother with Woman, as the Holy Quran states in Surah 19:32: “And dutiful to my Mother[i.e. Mary], and (Allah) made me not an unblessed and arrogant.” Matthew 7:6: “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine…” John 2:4: “Jesus saith unto her(Mary), Woman , what have I to do with thee?”

Was Jesus Crucified?

Muslims say that Jesus was not crucified because in the Quran , it says in Chapter 4:157 that Jesus wasn’t crucified: “And their(Jews) boasting: ‘We killed Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah,’ but they(Jews) killed him not , nor crucified him…and they did not kill him,for certain- rather God raised him to Himself.”. This is in accordance with what Jesus said (Matthew 10:24): “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.”

Suffering is often exaggerated in the Bible and termed “dead” as Paul said (I Corinthians 15:31): “I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ, I die daily” (i.e. I suffer daily). Here are some of the proofs:

1-On the cross he beseeched God for help (Matthew 27:46): “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” And in Luke 22:42: “Saying, Father if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”(This cup is the cup of death.)

2-Jesus’ prayer not to die on the cross was accepted by God, according to Luke, Hebrews and James. Then how could he still die on the cross?(Luke 22:43): “And there appeared an angel assured unto him from heaven, strengthening him.” It means that an angel assured him that God would not leave him helpless. (Hebrew 5:7)
