Why do atheists like to answer questions that doesn't concern them?

Please atheists, don't bite my head off, I do respect you're unbelief, actually, I'm one of the few Christians that believe that atheists can go to Heaven if they do good, so please don't bite my head off, I'm just saying what I observe, that when a religious user posts a question related to God and has nothing to do with atheists, atheists likes to post countering the poster's beliefs, even insulting his belief in God, why do atheists like to answer questions that doesn't even concern them, don't they respect other people's beliefs?

This is an open forum. Anyone can answer any question.

If you don't like that, you can go to some "christian only" forum, where there's more censorship and control.

By the way, when a religious person posts a question related to some claimed god-thing, the honest and factual "there's no evidence of any god" answer is not only "concerning" the question, it's a better and more honest answer than most believers will give.

Finally, I "respect" peoples' right to believe whatever they want. I don't "respect" WHAT they believe, if it's ignorant superstitious nonsense, often proven false, or if it's harmful. Such "beliefs" don't merit any respect. And if they're publicly expressed, they're open to public criticism. If you don't want your superstitions criticized publicly, don't express them publicly.

What is your next trick after banning free speech? Burning books? Burning witches and heretics? Tearing up the constitution? Destroying democracy? Fomenting civil war to form a christian dictatorship?!

What do you not understand about this being an open forum‽

Surely you lack the tolerance and intellect to discuss and debate on a public forum - so feel free to leave!

But why not stay, learn some tolerance, grow your intellect and in the process become a much better person!

I'm not an Atheist - but when there's a question that spreads lies about them, I think they have a right to defend themselves.

If you post a question on this site, it is open for everyone to answer. Those are the rules. I didn't make them. Yahoo did.

Oh I thought you are an atheist who hates God? Then why the heck did you have to troll my post? And Christianity is not about priests who rape kids. Rape is a sin.

All religios people ever do is regurgitate the party line. If you want real information it HAS to come from an atheist.

Would you rather everyone just pat you on the back for being a good little theist? Atheists aren't doing anything wrong, most times they're just providing their insight.

It goes both ways ways. If I ask atheists there are a bunch of deluded theists there and share with me their fantasies about what atheists think.

Well, gee...that's funny...have you ever seen questions specifically directed at Jews that get answers from Christians insisting that they know better about our scriptures and way of life than we do? I have - hundreds of times.

Religion damages our whole society, so it is of a major concern to all who would reduce that harm done by religions.

All things religious concern atheists too, since you religious types are so forceful pushing your fantasy.

Somebody needs to represent the reality you all deny.

Honesty is the best policy, even if that is opposite of church teachings.

Beliefs cause wars!!! Stupid beliefs cause unjust wars!!! Conned believers are very close to starting a war of the imaginary gods because no actual gods or devils exist anywhere outside of any ones inculcated minds!!!

R&S is an open forum. Atheists can answer any question they want and so can you. Usually if atheists give snarky answers it's because serious stupidity was involved by the asker. You don't get do decide wgo answer what questions.

This is an open forum, and everyone is allowed to answer, even trolls.

The belief in a god impacts atheists' lives, for one, often very negatively. Atheists are also well-versed in the bible and religion, many of them being brought up with religion, and can add another perspective to both scripture and world-view. Surely you wouldn't want your world-view limited on purpose, would you? Nor would you want to exclude different ideas from shaping your belief system. Only ignorant, blindered people aren't willing to have contrary ideas or even be attacked for their beliefs, as that would prove their foundation is too shaky.

This is the internet, where Christians answer questions directed at atheists with their snide insults about atheists, where they answer questions directed at Wiccans with sermons about how they need to read the Bible before they go to hell, where they answer questions directed at Christians of other denominations with the rude misinformation they were fed by their pastors, and where they answer questions directed at Hindus or Muslims with preaching about Jesus.

Don't pretend that only atheists answer questions directed at some other group.

One way to tighten things down would be to address things to a specific religion. In many questions here the majority of theist posters equate god with the christian god and no other!
