My Opinions about Creationism and Evolution

I believe in both but I believe in Creationism more
Life is created then it evolves
There was thought when humans were created
Evolutionists
If creationism does not exist then why something that does not exist would be talked about
And even if it did not exist somebody would’ve caught on by now and shown proof that it does not exist
"The Secret" is a book about creationism in believeing if you want something it will come.
Some of us misinterpret the bible and its meanings

"If creationism does not exist then why something that does not exist would be talked about"

That would mean anything ever spoken of would be true, so the FSM would have created the universe as well, and evolution would also be true because it is talked about. Just cause it is talked about doesn't mean it is correct.

"And even if it did not exist somebody would’ve caught on by now and shown proof that it does not exist"

Yes, there is plenty of proof that creationist in incorrect, however, creationists just move the goal post anytime something is refuted (and it's other proponents don't, because they are ignorant besides copy and pasting)

""The Secret" is a book about creationism in believeing if you want something it will come."

You can believe in anything you want, but it doesn't mean it will come. If this was so, everyone would be lottery winners.

"Some of us misinterpret the bible and its meanings"

Quite a lot say parts are anecdotal or applied at a certain time, then others use those same parts to justify prejudice.

"Evolution: Where Big Foot?"

Evolution has never said Bigfoot exists, you don't understand evolution if you are tying it to Bigfoot.

Life is created then it evolves

Evidence shows that aboigenesis is the most likely explanation.

There was thought when humans were created - what do you mean?

If creationism does not exist then why something that does not exist would be talked about

Oh like Harry Potter, the Simpson's, Pink elephants, Zeus?

And even if it did not exist somebody would’ve caught on by now and shown proof that it does not exist

Other the last 150 years so many as to be countless have done so.

"The Secret" is a book about creationism in believing if you want something it will come.

Errr do what John?

Some of us misinterpret the bible and its meanings

Useful that - means that the Bible can mean anything to anyone.

What a crappy way to word a ridiculous question. You have to take the word "creation" out of the equation and it'll really help you out. Creationism is talked about so much because people desperately want an answer to something that science has not figured out yet.

The Secret simply states that if you believe it it will come. If I want a job promotion and think I will get it, I will probably work harder, have better attendance, excel in my job duties and performance, etc. Because I want it so bad and believe I will get it, I will do what is necessary to attain my desires. It's nothing more than your subconscious at work.

Big foot is a myth, not evolution.

Unicorns are talked about. Do they exist?

Santa is talked about. Does he exist?

The easter bunny, the tooth fairy, etc. are all talked about. None of them exist.

Having said that, creationism definitely exists. There are creationists and they put forward the idea. But it exists in the same way that flat-Earthism exists. Just because there are creationists doe not mean that there is a creator.

There are no facts at all that support creationism.

Evolution = biodiversity through mutation and natural selection. It is testable and observable, supported by DNA evidence, fossil records, and pretty much all of biological science.

Creationism = God did it. Requires supernatural (and so is not observable or testable) and contradicts DNA evidence, fossil records, and all of biological science.

People talk about gnomes and fairies as well, but they don't exist. Believe does not equal truth. Certainty does no equal truth. Testable and replicable evidence is the only road to truth. And, the "Secret" is a sham, 'envisioning' something does not make it so.

Everyone interprets the Bible to suit their own needs, meaning it is worthless.

I suggest you read the web site, http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/list.html, you will see that all of the common arguments against evolution fail, and most are based on lies and deliberately ignoring evidence.

The title says it all, but your details are a nice punctuation mark on how well thought out the question is.

Good luck in finding evidence to support creationism though, there hasn't been any in the history of mankind so far.

There are no facts to substantiate Creationism. The only fact about Creationism is that it is false. It is religious dogma and has nothing to do with natural science.

You're doing it wrong.

The trick to it is: Look at the facts first, then use them to create an informed opinion.

Creationism is all about making an opinion, then looking for facts that you can bend into looking as though they may support your opinion.

Science works in the opposite manner: Form ideas from facts, not facts from ideas.

"why something that does not exist would be talked about"

You mean, like vampires, wizards, leprechauns, unicorns, Chtutlu....I could go on and on...

Sorry, outside of the Bible (which you can't call proof, because it can't be backed up with scientific evidence), there is no evidence to support Creationism.

"Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and We made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? (30)

And We have placed in the earth firm hills lest it quake with them, and We have placed therein ravines as roads that haply they may find their way. (31)

And We have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents. (32)

And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. (33)" (21:30-33)

To presuppose a celestial creating force is just lazy science. But I bet you've already heard that.

Seriously though; isn't it more Fun to go and try to find out How, instead of just closing the door by saying, "Oh. God did it." ?

"Life is created then it evolves"

This is actually closer to an understanding of evolution than most creationists have.

Evolution doesn't mention how life comes to be, only describing how life that exists changes...

So, if you can wrap your head around that you're already ahead in the game.

Try _The Case for a Creator_, by Lee Strobel. I don't necessarily think it will always support your opinions, but it's good for scientific facts!

BTW--Microevolution and Macroevolution are not the same thing!
