Seems like most government programs designed to "help" the poor are really designed to help them to stay poor. This creates large voting blocks who have to continue voting for the Party (democratic) which promises to keep the goodies flowing.

Is there a building in each County where a poor person could find job training and assistance with getting a job? The 'poor' had opportunity to get the same free High School education which I got. They could have done military service as I did (couldn't afford college).

After military I tried using the G.I.Bill to attend a Community College (didn't like it) but I started painting vacant apartments for the owner of the building I was living in. Then I started repairing them before I painted. That turned into a 20 year gig of self-employment. When that failed (illegal aliens) I became a truck driver. Got laid off a couple of weeks ago and haven't decided what I am going to do next. Get some kind of a job, obviously.

So I think I've done OK using only my bootstraps.

One of the greatest saints I have ever known said, "Self effort and God's Grace are one and the same thing. But for God's Grace we do not make the effort... at any level at which we are striving be it physical or mental or spiritual.

If your mind is so hard as to not be able to flex it's reasoning becomes useless. Reason alone will not see clearly but requires the effects of ever expanding spiritual wisdom to render accurate knowledge. This is the part of the equation that has been left out of our education, finances, government, business and our lives as human beings. What we have when reason alone runs the show is this hard paved road to Hell.

When I say Hell I mean chaos, confusion, angst, struggle, doubt and frustration with little hope of resolution. Like what we see today in our way of life.

you're maximum superb , it relatively is plenty bettwer for unions to hold a corporation to it relatively is knees with intense demands. How is that NWO going that may assist you whilst they initiate redistributing your wages to even out the justice interior the international.. Oops! there is going your wages, pensions, well-being care, and plenty extra. Unions are no longer the folk any further. they are basically vast bosses taking earnings of the staff. interior the tip it relatively is all unsustainable. and you ask your self why businesses are getting in another country! worked for a union as quickly as , and desperate it grow to be terrific if I stood up for myself. I did , and that i prospered previous the unions administration! MR edit: g; Duhhhh, Ford automobiles would be priced by using what the industry will bear. of direction because of the fact the value of exertions is going down, so do the charges. I hope I have understood your question properly... and in that hope, i am attempting an answer :

well,

some metaphors are created in this world, to motivate.... or to give a true and deep perspective or insight.

take christ of example, he is supposed to have said (words to that effect)

if thy eye is single, you can see God or enter the kingdom of heaven.....(I dont remember the exact words.. sorry).

does it mean, we should pluck one eye out of our socket ? haha. NO.

he further said "if you have little of it, that also will be taken away... if you have somethign, more will be added to it "...... isn't it funny !?

the list is endless..

perhaps Christ means that you have to single pointedly concentrate and meditate on God...have a single vision.. a single eye.

if you have little of faith, that too will be taken away ....if you have some faith then more will be added to it.

the second part of your question says like 'seeing your own eyes, hearing your own ears'.. i dont think it is stupid.

in very high stages of meditation, the meditator is not aware of his own physical identity. He is above it....(not physically but spiritually)... Then he may hear the divine music thru his 'inner ears which are finer than the phsyical ones..... He may see thru his inner eyes, what the physical eyes cannot see,,,, He/she may smell things which are out of this world.... he/she may feel and interact with conciousness which is not possible physically.

Its like the celebrated American DJ used to say at the end of every top 40 "keep reaching for the stars but keep your feet on the ground"

if we take it 'inspiringly'... it is crystal clear that we should keep aiming high but never forget our own physical realities which are finite... a person who is making 1,000 dollars can aspire to reach the 10,000 or 100,000 figure... but if he aspires for 100 billions .. well (surely exceptions are there)....most probably he/she will feel dejected and hopeless if the dream dosent come true,.

if we take the American DJ's words physically, then well, haha.......you can imagine humans elongating their physical body to 68,000 feet (and counting)......while their shoes are stuck in dry cement on earth.

hope this helps....certainly...i enjoyed answering it.

What most people do not wish to face is that the system we have chosen to use for existing with one another is one in which for one man to become rich, many many must be poor. The poor do not have bootstraps love.

If for no other reason than that reaching out a hand to pull them up is a biblical mandate?

Not with hands on boots. But we have legs. For seeing our own eyes, we have ponds, mirrors, and reflections in the eyes of others. I can FEEl vibrations in my ears, and mental sense their presence.

My own nervous system controls my body, in ways you would not expect.

1. Bend over

2. grab boot straps

3. pull and jump up in the air.

4. fall down and bustass.

I think you're missing the point. Self reliance and accountability are not things we should discourage.

Yes, Scribbo,

I thinks this is why we were given a voice... and ears to hear... a' voice to ask and call for help... and some lovley ears from good hearts that heart us ..hearing our cries, who come... and lend us a hand...

it is a wonderful world when we do so, one for another... in love...sometimes we need a helping hand!

((Claptic, great answer!! LOL)

Well, we're also incapable of extending our hands.
