fellowship with God ever be broken because of sin (whether it's big sin or small sin in your own estimation doesn't really matter; what matters is God's estimation of sin)? How would this knowledge help you? God bless you.

Amen.

Praise the Lord for His full salvation, for making a way for us by and through His blood, where we are no longer sinners, but sons and more-so, the righteousness of God IN Christ.

God sees things differently from the way we do. We are trapped within time and space and are in a particular dispensation. God on the other hand, sees things from the view of eternity past to future. When He looks at the Church, He says She is Glorious. We look at her and wonder how the Lord will ever be able to carry out what He desires in us because we seem so divided on many levels.

Yet I want to stand with you to declare.. Hallelujah.. The Church IS Glorious.. We ARE the righteousness of God In Christ!"

This is a wonderful verse worthy of reading again.

2 Cor 5:21

" Him who did not know sin He made sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him"

I think brother, that we need to just touch this matter a little, to clear up somethings.

Our Lord was made sin on our behalf. Sin came from Satan who rebelled against God ( Isaiah 14:12-14) This sin, which came out of the evil one, entered into man ( Romans 5:12) and made man not only a sinner, but sin itself under God's judgment. Hence, when Christ became a man in the flesh ( John 1:14), He was made sin ( not sinful) on our behalf to be judged by God ( Romans 8:3) that we might become the righteousness of God IN Him.

This Righeousness issues from God. This is for God's administration and to carry out His purpose on the earth.

Psalms 89:14

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne,

Lovingkindness and truth go before Your face"

Psalms 97:2

Clouds and deep darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His Throne"

This Righteousness is Christ, to be our righteousness ( 1 Cor 1:30), making us God's righteousness IN HIM. Through Christ's redemption, man, who is a sinner and is even sin, is made God's righteousness, being reconciled to the righteous God, and is made a new creation, living to God for His eternal purpose.

We are commissioned to minister such a Christ , with all the glorious issues of His Marvelous achievements, to His believers, who are the members that form His Body. Praise and glory be to Him forever!

As believers, we are In Christ...By being in union with the Lord, not only positionally but also dispositionally, organically in resurrection.

We were enemies of God ( Col 1:21) by becoming sin, which came from Satan, who rebelled against God. Christ was made sin for us by becoming one with us through being incarnated in the flesh ( He came in the likeness of the flesh of sin. Rom 8:3).

Through His death, He was condemned in the flesh as sin for us by God, that we might be one with Him in His resurrection to be God's righteousness. By this righteousness, we, the enemies of God could be and have been reconciled to God.

Hallelujah!

So brother..it is altogether who we are IN Christ that has caused us to be such ones to God today. Our question to ourselves in our day to day lives needs to be.. Am I one who is "found In Him" in my life and daily living?

Phil :9

And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is out of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is out of God and based on faith.

Our being the righteousness of God is an accomplished fact that was acquired by Christ's incarnation, death and resurrection. By daily, we need to be those who are abiding in this One. We need to appropriate these facts by learning to stay with the Lord in spirit. Where we contact Him, by calling on His name, receiving His supply so we can be those walk in the spirit and remain in Christ in a practical way all day.

All these marvelous accomplishments are ours. And the Lord has cleared a way for us to abide and remain in this kind of union and fellowship with God as His Righteousness in Christ.

This means that we are those who take care of our conscience. This leading part of our spirit which approves or disapproves of matters in our being that God wants to address. I know that some of the saints here may ask, " well.. am I still the righteousness of God in Christ if I am one who habitually sin? or if I have a besetting sin that keeps pulling me down? or if I am in a situation that is compromising and frustrating the Lord's going on in me?"

My answer to myself, and to all who may read this is .. " Be found in Him". Call on the Name of the Lord and be transferred out of the realm of sin and death and into the Law of the Spirit of Life which is in Christ Jesus ( Rom 8:2)

God has made it is so easy for us to experiencially and practically be found in the Lord. He is rich to those who call upon His name. When we call on the Name of the Lord, we are in the Holy Spirit, we are ushered more and more to our spirit where the Lord dwells ( 2 Tim 4:22) It is here that we lay hold of this truth concerning us being God's righteousness in Christ. Everything that God does and desires to do is In His Son. On our own we have no other way, our only way, truth and life is Christ.

So dear brothers and sisters, lets be found in this One daily. When we are spoken to by the Lord concerning sin, may we avail ourselves of the effacacious prevailing blood of our Lord which was shed for us. May we be those confessing our sin as our conscience leads and as the Lord shines on us as we pray and are in the word, because God is faithful and righteous to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This keeps us in the flow of fellowship with the Lord and with the saints. Keeps us in a place and position to receive the dispensing of His resurrection Life which swallows up all kinds of sin and death that will seek to pervade our being.

His life swallows up questions, doubt, accusations, and causes us to be strengthened to live a normal christian life. How truly blessed we are to have the Lord living in us, always seeking to shepherd our wavering, straying minds back to our spirit where He is, that we can live in spirit, walk in spirit, move and have our being in spirit.

Praise the Lord that everyday, all day, we can be found in Christ and stay in Him as branches abiding in the Vine.

Grace be with you brother Jimmy.

Thank you for this awesome question regarding who we truly are in Christ.

i wanna address the post made by sister lostnsavd, who said that if the train falls off the track, someone must set it back. Indeed, this is true. However, has anyone ever seen a train set itself back on track? or is it made right by something greater?

I believe the train metaphor you used refers to us Christians. Therefore, common logic also comes into play here.

I thank God that Jesus, our Saviour, can put us back on track, and He has done a perfect job, and saw it through to the end, for otherwise, He could not say that "It is finished!"

2 Corinthians says that we are IN Christ. So where is Christ today? At the Father's right hand. So when God looks at us, He sees Jesus on the outside, and us on the inside. What is my proof?

When the Tabernacle of God was being built, Moses was instructed to take wooden boards for walls, and on each side, the wood was to be plated with gold, with a golden pole running through the wood for support. The base of the temple was to be made with silver.

Now, wood represents man, gold always represents God, and silver represents redemption.

This is what the blueprints of the tabernacle is saying:

God on the outside covering man, and yet at the same time, God on the inside supporting him, and everything is based on the Redemption of Jesus.

I dont mean to say it's okay to sin, but the message here is to be secure in Christ, knowing that He took your punishment for you, so you can pick youself up and try again. Jesus did not have that luxury.. The romans beat Him in pairs so that while one rested the other continued whipping Him, offering no rest to get up... Did Jesus deserve it? No. But He took it, so that we who do not deserve blessing and forgiveness would have it. To deny it is to say Jesus did it for nothing and i refuse to accept that.

My fellowship with God cannot be broken because of sin for the same reason as why the devil will not leave a sinner even though he is moral. If the sinner renounces the devil will he leave? I doubt it. Yet how can believers think that because of sin, God is gone in an instant? The Bible says God is love. Can we accept that?

"But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification and redemption:" 1 Corinthians 1:30

Jesus was made our righteousness. Do you have Jesus? You have righteousness. May Peace joy and rest hunt you down... all the days of your life..

Amen

I thank GOD Almighty for sending the HOLY SPIRIT as Christ had told us through His taught ones (the disciples) so that when I sin by doing or speaking things incorrectly. The HOLY SPIRIT convicts me and leads me to repentance, because my conscience will testifies against me.

I do believe that there are many who are not true believers, but claim to be.

From a online study of 2 Peter 3:10-13

Vs. 10: These early Christians were being discouraged by the persecutions and seemingly insurmountable sufferings and loss. The comfort of Jesus’ retuning was like cool water for a person dying of thirst on a hot day. Consequently, false teachers were taking advantage of them. These so-called Christians, who were making apocalyptic predictions, had bad motivations. They operated just like Satan, seeking to disrupt, seduce, and carry people away from Christ and to their way. If you are not sure who they are, watch their character and Fruit, which will show their true nature (Jer. 23:13; Micah 3:5; Matt. 7:15; Acts 20:28-30; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Eph. 4:14; Phil. 3:2; 2 Tim. 3:4-6; Titus 1:11,12; 2 Peter 2:18,19).

Dear Friend,

If a train falls off its track, it is no longer on the track. Something must take place to reconcile the problem. With a Christian who sins, they need to humbly come before the throne of God and ask for forgiveness and "stop" committing that sin (repent).

When Jesus comes back, He is looking for a Bride without spot or wrinkle. We are to strive for righteousness while we are here on this earth, through the Power of the Holy Spirit.

God cannot be around sin. He even turned His head "away" from Jesus when He bore the sins of the world onto Himself. God is a Holy God. We are to come to Him on His terms, not ours.

There is sin that is unto death and sin that is not unto death. When we make Jesus the Lord of our lives, we still make human mistakes because we are still human, and all mistakes are sin basically, but God has forgiven us for everything, past, present and future. We can thank him for this every day. We do need to repent too so that we can get better and be brighter lights in our world of darkness. Some day we hope to stand before the throne without spot or wrinkle.

When we trust in Christ, we make a trade--our sin for his goodness. Our sin was poured into Christ at his crucifixion. His righteousness is poured into us at our conversion. This is what Christians mean by Christ's atonement for sin. In the world, bartering works only when two people exchange goods of relatively equal value. But God offers to trade his righteousness for our sin---something of immeasurable worth for something worthless. How grateful we should be for his goodness to us.

When we give up our world of sin to receive God's goodness we become the righteousness of God in Christ because Christ made it possible for us to give up our sin and be forgiven by taking our sin upon himself. I believe God wants to be in fellowship with us at all times and the only thing that can break that fellowship is if we willfully choose to deny him and his fellowship - we are the only ones that can separate ourselves from God. It helps to know that if we do make a mistake, Christ has already paid the price and we can be forgiven and reconciled to God by the blood that he shed for our sins so that we can still be the righteousness of God in Him. Thank God for Jesus! : )

As Christ became our righteousness , we become God's righteousness .......

2 Corinthians 5 17-21

17 So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.

18

12 And all this is from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19

namely, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

20

So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

21

For our sake he made Him to be sin who did not know sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus died for us so that we may live our lives to Christ rather than live our lives for ourselves.

If we live in Christ and accept that we are saved by His Grace....then our sins will be forgiven.

If you live to the flesh...you will be judged by the flesh.

This doesnt mean that you can go around purposely committing sin. When you live to Christ...you are a new creation....trying to live a holy life. Jesus will forgive you when you "slip" up.... God knows your heart....He knows if you are sincere or not.

Thanks for the great question!

Praise to Christ our Lord!

The verse does not mean that if you sin, you are the righteousness of God.

2Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Because sin is an enemy of righteousness.

1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

When we sin Jesus is still praying for us and He is our mediator to God. God never count our sins no more because of the redemption of the precious blood of Jesus Christ who pour out to us. God judged our sin on the cross. It is finished. As long as we live in this tent, we are not free to go without sinning. As long as we recognized our sin and confess to God our weakness, ask God to help this stronghold to be broken and to over come it. Give thanks to Jesus for what He has done on the cross, we are still righteous in His eyes. God do not see us as we are. He sees the blood of Jesus in us and that all it matter.

We are as descendants of the first Adam living souls and as born again to be in the last Adam life-giving spirits (1 Corinthians 15:45). We sin as living souls we cannot sin as life-giving spirits. When we act as life-giving spirits we have the righteousness of Christ and are led by the Holy Spirit. As the Apostle Paul wrote it in another way the flesh (in the living soul) lusts against the Spirit who leads our life-giving spirits and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another (Galatians 5:17). We sin in our flesh but we are righteous in our spirits. As our Lord Jesus had said our spirit is willing (to please God) but our flesh is weak. God bless you.
