Question:
Catholics perferbly The Catholic Church is just too much sometimes, help?
2016-01-23 18:06:20 UTC
I just feel like sometimes the Catholic Church and its rules are so much to the point that if you followed all listed in the Cathecism, you would be locked in a padded room with no brain or anything it is just too much.

What do I do when all I want to be is out of the Church because it is just too much pressure on me.

If I am in the Catholic Church I need to accept all teachings, cherry picking isn't an option in this case.

There is a couple of options here:

1: The Catholic Church has some truth in it but it isn't a 100 percent infallible, culpability to whether or not you go to hell is based off of certain teachings that ring with conscience.

2. The Catholic Church is 100 percent infallible and willful knowledgable disobedience in ANY of it can cause you to go to hell.

I just can't take it any more, the Church feels like I cannot even breathe sometimes.

What should I do, someone help me before i lose it...

READ THIS PLEASE, NOBODY TRULY UNDERSTANDS WHAT I MEAN IN MY QUESTIONS ASK GOD TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND SO YOU CAN GET A CLEAR ANSWER.

You're looking at it all wrong. The Catholic Church isn't a bunch of rules if you love God.

The Church is given us by Christ, to be our guide. Jesus gave Peter the mission to feed and guide his flock, the faithful. The Church's mission is to help us get to heaven. Christ gave us the sacraments, again they are for us to help us along the difficult path to holiness.

The issues today are that so many Catholics have had their conscience formed by the world, instead of by Christ and the Church. We've forgotten that this life is temporary, that all that truly matters is salvation, and we only have a short time here on earth. The Church is to help us with this, a place to go and receive Christ, to confess our sins, worship and pray.

They aren't restrictive rules, but loving guidance because we were made to love and serve God, to spend eternity with him.

Start with loving God and you'll find that the more you seek him the more you want to follow Church teaching. Just as parents lovingly have their children follow rules. If they didn't love them they'd let them do whatever they want. God loves us and gives us a path and an earthly tangible place to help keep us on that path.

I am Catholic and I don't notice a lot of rules other than the 10 Commandments and birth control.

I took birth control when I was young. I wasn't Catholic at the time. After I had my second child, I had my tubes tied so I wouldn't have to take the pill any more. The pill made me sick. Later, I wanted another child but no longer had that option.

Other than birth control, attending mass, and following the 10 commandments, I don't see a lot of rules.

The Catholic Church in relation to the Pope the successor of the office of St. Peter and his Bishops the successors of the offices of the Apostles are infallible in matters of Christian doctrine in regards to the faith and moral teachings. When it comes to Christian doctrine no other Church (Ecclesiastical Community) is infallible, yes there is a proper Ordination of Ministers that hold the offices of the Apostles but what is missing from their gatherings (synods or councils) is one essential person the Pope. They can sit there decide contraceptives like birth control is morally acceptable for married couples but it doesn't matter to God what they decide being none of them hold the keys to heaven and earth except for the Pope himself. The Pope himself can not pass a Christian doctrine without the approval of his fellow Bishops but this only pertains within the Catholic Church being these Bishops are in full communion with the Pope.

As for Protestants they either improperly Ordain their Ministers or they do not have an Ordination of Ministers which means they have no Apostolic succession. The only two Sacraments which are valid is the Sacrament of Baptism and the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. Because they are lacking in having a properly Ordained Minister they have no other valid Sacraments. So not only is there no valid Bishops the successors of the offices of the Apostles and there is no Pope the successor of the office of St. Peter. When if comes to Christian doctrine they are in the same boat as the Churches (Ecclesiastical Communities) not in full communion with the Pope.

If you want to follow the traditions of man that's fine but know this they do not come from the Holy Spirit (God).

Following rules is the faith of a child. You cannot keep faith very long as an adult in a complex and ambiguous world thinking rules suffice to guide you.

Christian morality and ethics is the response you and I have to the love of God we experience. Our response dictates to us how to related to God and how to related to each other. It is not a careful avoiding of breaking rules. Instead it is a way of deciding how to live.

The theology of virtue is recommended to you. When practicing virtue well, options that are unloving and sinful just don't present themselves, or in dark moments are clearly inferior to the alternative to do good.

A soldier who saved the passengers of the Paris London train from automatic weapons fire and death was asked, "what we're you thinking when you charged at a man holding a weapon?" He responded, what was ther to think about? There was no alternative to acting as I did. That is virtue. Being cowardly was not an option.

Learn the faith of an adult. Adults act responding to to the love God has shown them, not fear of punishment or the promise of award.

You seem to have been taught the faith of a child, but were not taught how to be a Catholic adult. Teach yourself and find help when you get stuck

So what's too much? Aren't we instructed to pick up our cross and follow Him? (Matthew 16:24, Luke 9:23). Didn't He also tell us to come to Him, all who labor and are heavy laden? (Matthew 11:28) If you think it's too much, then you are trying to do it alone, and remember, He instructed us that apart from Him, we can do nothing (John15:5).

Pray on what I have given you here. God be with you.

I am not a catholic, but my parents were. My mother had questions about the bible and asked her priest but they couldn't give her the answers. She prayed to God to understand his word and show her the meaning and purpose of life. That's when 2 people showed up on her door step and offered her a personal bible study. My advice to you would be to pray about the matter. Please go to the website www.jw.org. there are so many answers from the bible that I think could help satisfy you and relieve your anxiety.

It isn't as bad as you think it is. Only a small of what they teach is actually infallible. The rest of it is merely what they call "authoritative". Be sure that you are with the mainstream Catholics, not the radical traditionalist types. THEY are the one who make you feel like you can't breathe.
2016-01-23 23:26:58 UTC
you have it wrong , the Church is only infallible in the teachings of "Faith and Morals ." any other subject you can question , agree or disagree , I think your problem is that you don't have a prayer life . how often do you go to confession, the answers you need may be the next priest you question in confession.

You have woken up to the many inconsistencies of the RCC

(Revelation 18:4, 5) And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.

I'm a little late to the party..but here's my take.

My sister used to think like this. I would ask you to think of it this way...

A) Are you looking at it like a child does -- 'rules' "Mommy says I have to wear a jacket when its cold. Mommy has a lot of rules!" -- But what if they are less about Mommy's rules and more about what is logical, what is REAL, what is necessary ??? You see, if you ask the Catholic church -- they aren't even THEIR rules. They are God's -- They teach them because they represent TRUTH. They teach reality - what TRULY is, and what TRULY is BEST.

The Catholic church was taught these truths by Christ, himself, through his Apostles They do not have a right to change what God hath said.

To teach otherwise, would be to teach a lie... even if that lie seems 'nicer' or 'easier' -- in the long run it is not.

B) Try to move past seeing them as 'rules' -- as seemingly arbitrary commands and figure out WHY they teach what they do. WHY should we go to Mass every Sunday? WHY shouldn't we have sex before marriage? WHY is abortion wrong when the government says it is OK? -- As you understand the WHY, you'll see WHY God teaches these things and why it would be bad to pretend they are OK or to teach the opposite.

A child obeys because the parent says so. The Adult obeys because they see the reason.

God and his church calls us to do the BEST we can and to seek forgiveness when we fail.

So WHAT do you do when you fall short, when you trip, when you fall? -- You pick yourself up off the floor, dust off the dirt from your knees, seek forgiveness, and once again, begin walking along the path, as you were before.

The old saying is: "It is not how many times you fall, but how many times you get back UP, that matters."

Did you skip the part of the Catechism that talks about forgiveness, God's mercy?

It has been said that "the Catholic church is a Hospital for sinners -- not a museum of Saints." -- dwell on that for a bit. The church teaches that we are ALL broken, it is our mutual recognition that we are broken that brings us together, not our perfection.

<<...if you followed all listed in the Cathecism, you would be locked in a padded room with no brain or anything it is just too much.>>

Ask yourself THIS - where are these thoughts that you'd be crazy and mindless coming from? WHO would benefit from you thinking like this? God or Satan? We all wrestle with doubt...but do we allow the doubt to consume us to the point that we run away, OR do we FACE doubt, dive deeper, and learn from it?

If you face doubt in School (that these courses are going to really be useful in life) do you simply give up and don't apply? What if you doubt your parents -- do you run away? What if you doubt that you love your spouse and can stay married -- do you cut-n-run? What if you doubt that you can be a good parent to your kids, do you abandon them? -- IF NOT, then why your God? Why the faith of your youth?

But what I think you FAIL to realize is that there are Doctrines and then there are practices.

That there is a difference between Sacred Tradition (with a capital "T") and mere cultural tradition (with a small "t")

That there are things that are dogmatically professed and which are non-negotiable, but there are also a great number of things which are left to each Catholic to reason and figure out on their own, as well.

Such as: How many kids to have. OR Which political candidate to vote for. OR 7 days of literal creation, or Evolution? OR How to discipline your children. OR Which charities to give your money to. etc. etc. etc.

So I think you over state the actual reality of the situation. The Church leaves a lot of personal and social matters for an individual Catholic to figure out for themselves.

It is not cherry picking if you are following Catholic principles and your decision doesn't directly violate a core Catholic doctrine. - In other words, not Everything is dogmatically settled or stated.

There are MORE than just a 'couple' of options... especially as you state them here. It is not nearly as blk n wht as you make it out to be. As 'all or nothing' as you seem to indicate.

As far as #2 -- the Church does not even come close to teaching that if you willfully violate ANY of 'it' (whatever 'it' is) then you go to hell. - I'd like to see this from the Catechism if you feel that it says this.

The Church also only claims to be infallible under CERTAIN conditions - not in ALL things. IN FACT.. it has admitted to making mistakes in how it has handled things in the past. It has never reversed itself on a doctrine or on matters of Sacred Tradition - but it also doesn't claim to know everything.

So I suspect you have some grave misunderstandings about HOW the Catholic church works, what it actually teaches, and what it means when it says "infallible"

You also seem to be completely ignoring forgiveness, mercy, and accepting people as they ARE (not expecting perfection)

What's the alternative? You want the Church to lower its standards to something YOU think it attainable? You want it to change reality to fit what we all THINK things should be, not as they are?

You think the Church should make doctrine 'negotiable' and based on popular opinion?

Many non-Catholic Christian churches sometimes operate this way.-- they allow parishoners to VOTE on beliefs, they let society and popular opinion set their doctrines and change what they teach. -- The Church prefers to stick to what was ORIGINALLY taught to it, by Christ's own Apostles. TRUTH, real truth - does not change.

Catholics perferbly The Catholic Church is just too much sometimes, help? Fake Patriarch Kirill and other fake church leaders signed a document in 2006 where it says that all religions worship the same supreme being; anathema. Last Orthodox Patriarch is Patriarch Irenaios of Jerusalem. Major heresy of the last century was that the name of the Creator doesn't have anything to

do with the Creator.

American pronunciation of the word "God/god" is "gaad" which means Satan in Ruski.

Ruski words for "English" and "angelic" are very similar; Satan was an angel.

Read only Bible that is translated by theologians. John the Baptist ate only carobs and honey. Eating bugs like locusts leads to demon possession and three stands of DNA. 666ed people eat GMO food (which is food with bug DNA).

Ecumenism has 263 heresies; each heresy leads to hell.

Roman Catholic icons are drawn from naked people.

Orthodox icons are inspired by the Holy Spirit.

When you look directly into the eyes of the figure depicted on an Orthodox icon, energy is coming your way, that is, you get healed.

If you look at Buddhist-Roman Catholic-Satanic icons, you get the passions from the person depicted.

There has been a study done by Ruski scientists. When an Orthodox Christian crosses regular water, it becomes better. When an Orthodox Christian priest crosses regular water, it becomes even better than if regular Orthodox Christian crosses the water. This is the usual.

Now, we are in the end days. In some churches (that have been infiltrated by the antichrist's minions), antichrist's blood is served. Also, scanners put 666 on foreheads at the entrance. Theotokos Virgin Mary pushed down the altars at these churches (invisible to humans). Icons in these churches are changed to Satanic-Buddhist-Roman Catholic type instead of normal. Water (instead of becoming better) becomes worse when "blessed" in these "churches".

Orthodox icons must have correct hand signals.

Correct blessing hand means Alpha and Omega

AND

Iesus Christous (Jesus Christ in Greek and Church Slavonic).

Incorrect hand signals are signifying the antichrist.

Also, do you see the scrolls on the Orthodox icons?

They will be opened when antichrist will be coming to town.

These scrolls will reveal everything about the antichrist.

Note also, calendar must be Orthodox, not Roman Catholic.

During the 8th "wolf" Council, antichrist will kill those priests who

disagree with him. Other priests will worship him when a bird dies at

his feet.

Pelageya of Ryazan said that there will only be seven churches left in the end days.

Vaccines, IVs, tooth fillings/implants, cosmetics, medicaments, certain foods and drinks, etc. contain nanochips and/or cells of aborted fetuses; intake of which leads to demon possession.

Give back your documents to the gov't and live in Ural Mountains or Alaska.

Heresy leads to loss of love. Rapture is a heresy. You have to hide with Orthodox Christians to escape 666. Reject globalism, UFOs, documents, vaccines, ecumenism, cities, technology, etc.

The only true Christians are people who rejected mark of the beast documents and drink blood of Jesus.

Note, some churches serve antichrist's blood. So, choose wisely.

Read the Book of Revelation.

It's all clear now anyway if you have wisdom to

understand that 2 elongated lines on a barcode is a 6.

Each barcode has 3 double elongated lines.

Hence, it spells 666.

Barcode on documents leads to temporary hell.

Barcode on one's body by isotope rays leads to permanent hell.

According to Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov, 666ed people will

first hide the green 666 with durags and long sleeves, but then openly will walk

with shiny green 666 on their foreheads or wrists.

The Most Holy Trinity gives you a name during baptism.

Devil gives you an anti-name during anti-baptism.

Barcode is Druid black magic curse and a form of mark of the beast just like Social Security.

People who took any number (which is an anti-name given during anti-baptism by the beast) on documents or in computer go to temporary hell;

but those who receive green 666 (given with World Passport with no name on it) on forehead or wrist go to permanent hell.

How not to go to hell?

Give back all these anti-name anti-baptism documents back to the beast

by writing to appropriate authorities.

If authorities refuse to cancel these anti-names, then write again (up to three times).

If you wrote to the gov't three times about it, but gov't refused, then The Most Holy Trinity

will not send you to hell.

Don't take the microchip. If you already took it, get rid of it because microchipped people will be influenced by computers to take the World Passport (grey plastic card with no name on it).

Don't go into a UFO to be healed by demons. Those who reject 666 will go to heaven. Also, their direct ancestors will be saved from hell.

All who call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ or sign themselves with sign of the cross during WW3 will be saved. War in Ukraine will last two years (2014 - 2016). Then WW3 will start. Then Tsar (revealed by resurrected Seraphim of Sarov) will come to power in Russia to protect people from the antichrist. Antichrist will allow all sin. Don't sin. The Most Holy Trinity is merciful but 666 is not forgivable. 666 is given with grey plastic card.

Food stores, prisoners, and police will 666 people too. Don't get new documents. Don't get any surgeries. Don't eat meat. Don't eat fast food. Don't eat junk food. Pray the Jesus prayer.

Don't go into UFO to be healed by evil demons. Feed the pigeons. Give to charity in the name of Archangel Michael. Reject vaccines. Hide with Orthodox Christians to escape mark of the beast; leave all electronics behind so that you can't be tracked.

Antichrist's next target is the Statue of Liberty.

One big shake, one giant step forward, one giant collapse.

You use your spirit to talk to The Most Holy Trinity.

Demons attack soul and body.

Demons live inside clones. Jesus died for all sins committed by all.

Jesus said that you have to drink His blood.

All people have soul, body, and spirit.

In animals, blood substitutes soul.

That's why you're forbidden to drink animal blood.

Animals don't have spirit.

You're forbidden to drink human blood (like during blood transfusion) because sins transfer.

You're told to drink blood of Jesus (because He's sinless) so that your sins are forgiven.

Dogs are not allowed in your home and your church because the Holy Spirit will leave.

One can receive mark of the beast because of cats; so, stay away from cats.

Give to charity in the name of Archangel Michael; he rescues people from hell twice a year (or brings them up a level, that is, to a level with less punishment; eventually, people are freed). Feed the pigeons; when pigeons bow down, people are saved from hell. Birds participate in time creation. It's a sin to kill birds. Dinosaurs live under our level. They will get out through sinkholes and lakes. To kill them, go for their nerves. Save the birds; but kill the dinosaurs. First dinosaur will come out of Volga River in Russia. Since antichrist (born to a 12th generation prostitute, flying, big-nailed, gloved, pale-faced, red-eyed, Satan-possessed since he's 12 years old, homosexual man from the tribe of Dan, who wears blue robe over left shoulder while red/pink robe is underneath just like Jesus, and is surrounded by demons but people see angels of light) is around, there is no need for disputes. Forgive me.
