My parents stopped going to church when I was a kid.I tried to go too different churches by myself but when I realized just how many are out there I couldn't decide which one was the "one" for me.does that make me a sinner because I never picked one and attended it.Once a man told me I have no choose in what "branch" I go to.I was born a baptist.I will die a baptist and i must(he was VERY clear about that) follow "my"(his) church's beliefs no matter what. "If you don't boy you going to burn in hell for all time.YOU GOT THAT BOY!!!" was he right?

No, you will not burn in hell for not picking a church. This "pastor" is dead wrong. We are saved by faith alone in Christ Jesus and nothing else. If we are saved by works (going to church because "you have to") there would be no need for Jesus to die for us.

But since our good deeds are as evil deeds in God's eyes, we need to have faith in Jesus to save us, which is what He came to do.

Anyway... going to church is for the worship of God and for Christian fellowship. You shouldn't go it you feel like "you have to".

Actually to be honest, I don't go to church because the churches here are spiritually dead. I stay home and worship God and read His word where there is no one to cause me to stumble in my faith and no one to distract me from God.

I am not saying that church is evil. I am saying that because of today's society and all... even churches are falling away from God. I mean they are marrying off gay men and women. That is not of God.

This is not hate speech. This is fact.

We are saved by Faith not by works. That means that you are saved because you have Faith in Christ Jesus. Because no matter how hard we try we will always mess up.

Here's the truth: Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation.

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross as FULL PAYMENT for our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you will be in heaven, no matter what!

You need to be in church for several very important reasons. If you want to be Baptist, okay, but I recommend Pentecostal churches. They preach the whole counsel of God but the mainline churches leave out the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and that includes a lot. The whole book of Acts is based on this and Paul who wrote half of the New Testament was fervent about the baptism of the Holy Ghost. So it is necessary. It's wrong to leave this part of the Bible out.

We do need to be in church to hear the Word of God, to worship God, tithe and fellowship with Christians, even join in prayer and join a group or two that would be beneficial so you need to be there. I hope you find one you like. By the way, it's robbing God to not give tithes. I'll pray that God guides you and blesses you.

you are free to go to any church you want.

I am a baptist and no you can go to any church you desire

You are not born a baptist and will not die one, only if you choose to. Its not a sin to go to another church not baptist.

God does want us to go to church.

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

one must have salvation in Jesus to have eternal life.

With out salvation a person will go to hell according to God.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

No, he was full of crap. Go where you feel most comfortable.

Believing that Jesus is the Son of God, asking forgiveness for your sins, and accepting that Jesus paid the price for your sins and that you are forgiven, is the way to heaven. (John 3:16-18). You don't have to go to church to do this.

No where in the 10 commandments could I find "go to a baptist church."

I do recommend that you go to a Christian church that you are comfortable with, to fellowship with others who love and serve God too.

In Matthew 22:36-40 and Mark12:28-31, Jesus says that we are to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." This you can do through prayer and reading the word of God.

Jesus also says to "Love your neighbor as yourself." You can't do this unless you interact with people. Some people in churches can teach you how to do this. Not all people at church follow this, so please choose your teachers wisely.

while it says in the Bible that something burns constantly it skill till its all wiped out, however the impacts of the hearth are constantly. Or unquenchable hearth, which skill it could’t be placed out till its finished doing its interest. we don't burn constantly yet some will burn longer than others. I cant have self assurance that Hitler will burn for the comparable volume of time as somebody that lives a sturdy existence yet rejects God. Joh 3:sixteen For God so enjoyed the international, that he gave his in basic terms begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shouldn't perish, yet have eternal existence. in basic terms 2 ideas, PERISH OR eternal existence. no longer eternal existence in Hell

First of all you should choose a good "Bible based" church which preaches about Jesus Christ as He is what our faith is grounded on. Second, you go to church to fellowship with others and to worship our Lord and Savior. Yes, you should go to church to grow in Christ and to be uplifted and encouraged. Many believe you do not have to go to church, but if you want to stay deeply rooted and connected with Christ then going to church is a must. As far as going to hell, if you do not repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then yes your soul will go to hell. Hope this helps.

You need to find a church that believes and preaches the Word of God (the Bible). You need to find a church that believes that Jesus is Christ and the Savior of the world.

You (or anyone) will go to hell because they reject Christ. But He wants all to come to Him. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to redeem the world. He paid the price (His dying on the cross) and He arose again so that we might be saved from eternal damnation.

go to www.acts17-11.com/christian.html and it should answer your question. It makes no difference if you go to church or not, we are all sinners saved by grace and church is just a building that stands. It's about your personal relationship with God.Church is like a gas station, it's somewhere Christians go for a spiritual "fill-up" .

I second what CJ said. Going to church is not the key. BEING the Church is key. Accept the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone, repent of your sins, cling to the Word of God and live your life in obedience to what God reveals to you through His Word.

The Christian life is a "walk". You will grow and mature and grow closer to God every day as you read and submit to the Word. It's a journey and the leader of your journey is Jesus Christ.

God Bless you for your question. I pray that God will reveal Himself to You and that you will be saved.

He was not entirely right.

We are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God, none of us are good enough to get into heaven on our own merits, not one of us.

That 'all' includes baptists, catholics and any other Christian you want to name. It also includes atheists, agnostics, muslims, jews, hindus, and any other religion you can name.

The only way that I know of to get into heaven is ask God to forgive you of your sins and believe that through sacrifice of Jesus Christ that you are forgiven.

I would encourage you to attend to a church in your walk with Jesus Christ, but attending to a church does not save you. It is Christ's sacrifice that has saved you.

Hope that helps.

First, you will not "burn in hell." Second, Christ attended church, the Apostles established churches, for good reason. They are meant to uplift us, reaffirm and maintain our faith, establish a place to worship as he commanded, converse and be with brothers and sisters of the same faith, inspire you to continue and keep the commandments. Yes you are sinning.

Don't listen to men listen to God, you have a direct line to all your un answered questions. It is not about being a baptist or which ever, it is about following Christ.
