listend to John Lennon and Yoko Ono's song Give Peace a change and the first words a bagism, shagism, dragism, madism, ... ism
What does this mean?

adding "ism" usually indicates a belief or culture

It's from an old English folk song which goes:

which really is an awful DRAG

They must be bloody MAD



So rather than sing the whole verse they took the last word of each line and added -ism to it - a sort of musical shorthand!
