I am a Christian and I love to talk about Jesus. I come here to talk to people in a civilized manner, but there are always atheists spewing their hate and bile. It can get really annoying. As a Christian I want to spread peace and happiness, not hate and anger. Do you find it difficult to deal with the hatred from atheists on Yahoo Answers?

Every day I see Christians telling atheists that we're going to burn forever in eternal torment, or deserve to. I've seen Christians say the same thing about my children, and about my family. I saw just today a question saying atheists deserve to be killed, and the only reason he wouldn't kill them is that it's illegal. I've never once seen an atheist say a christian should be tortured forever, or that they should be killed. Until that happens, I'm going to have to disagree with you that it's atheists spreading the the hate and bile here.

Also, in your question you claim to be wanting to "spread peace and happiness", while denigrating an entire group of people by spreading what is the very least misrepresentations about them, but what I would call lies. This makes you a hypocrite, at the very least. I could say a great many other things it makes you, but I'd prefer to keep this civil.

Talk about double standards.

The difference between atheists and Christians is that atheists don't get annoyed by Christians spewing their hate and bile. We accept it as par for the course.

You will also find that atheists don't hate Christians on here. We may challenge and argue our case but we don't hate, we leave that to Christians. If we are rude it is normal in response to someone who frankly deserves it. Personally, I reply in the spirit in which the question is asked.

You should preach your peace and happiness to your Christian brethren as they seem to target not only atheists but any denomination that is not their own or any other religion that is not theirs.

I would like to see some examples of this 'hate and bile'

By the way, you have generalized atheists as 'always' spewing hate and bile. I would expect better from someone who claims to talk to people in a civilized manner.

I wonder if you consider my response to be 'hate and bile'?

I'm a christian as well, I really don't let them get to me. I guess God gave me thick skin, because even if the question happens to be rude in the extreme I'll answer it if I get the sense that it may do some good. Jesus told us to Love our enemies and to bless them and that in turn that will heep coals of fire upon their heads. conviction is a wonderful thing, don't you know.

Yes it can be difficult. But when you turn off the board, you're off. Chances you'll never see or meet these people anywhere in real life. So does it matter what they say? But yes, civilized does not seem to live on this board. I wish it did.

that is all an exceedingly careful dance in case you pick to debate faith and be taken heavily as an sensible person. you are going to be able to desire to ask stable questions that make human beings think of somewhat approximately their ideals, with none outright insult or confrontational wording. you comprehend as all of us try this as quickly as we scroll down the present questions checklist, a majority of the questions are confrontational. "Why are Christians so stupid?" good factors because of the fact the wide-unfold topic. The few that ask atheists to coach their place "Atheists, answer me this!" are in many circumstances extremely susceptible arguments, quickly smothered with twenty solutions of this sort of "you are going to be able to desire to be stupid." i will pass by way of various pages of questions till now i hit upon one that merits an answer, asks a singular question, or is intently theory out. My suggestion could be to pay interest on asking large questions that your contacts will like, and preserving those questions freed from hatreds, insults, sneering or different impolite wording. in case you provide Christians a probability to grant their viewpoint without making outright enemies of them, you will savor the solutions. once you meet somebody on the line you do no longer punch them contained in the nostril and then whinge that they do no longer seem to love you.

Hate goes both ways. Maybe the way you say and do things is off putting. Christians can be very anti social.

Dont act all innocent, Im sure you probably said some hateful things then acted all innocent about it afterwards.
