What do Christians really think about actor Leslie Nielsen, now that he has died?

Christians do not believe in divorce. Many in fact openly condemn it. Leslie Nielsen was married FOUR TIMES. Christians do not seem to have ANY PROBLEM condemning homosexuals here. And the truth is, they condemn them not for behavior but just for BEING GAY. Why aren't they screaming about what a HORRIBLE PERSON Leslie Nielsen was for being divorced THREE TIMES? After all, his BEHAVIOR is a matter of record!

Why do some Christians love to "enforce the law" only when it comes to someone who happens to be gay? I thought divorced people were on the list of those who will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

Well God has an interesting attitude on these sins. Divorcing and re-marrying as Christ says is adultery. The main thing is that God always seemed to forgive adulterers and fornicators from King David to the woman caught in adultery but then again he did flatten Sodom and Gomorrah.



As for Leslie Neilsen he was a good actor, comedian and patron of the arts and never forgot his old home roots. As for his soul, only God knows and not me since my name is Michael. not Jesus.

Geez. How is it I can see very clearly the point the question is making? The person asking the question is not stating that Leslie Nielsen was gay for cripes' sake! They're making the point that no one is attacking Leslie Nielsen for having had four wives. But people are quick to criticize or even condem anyone who is gay just because they are gay. I get it. Why does no one else see that?



I agree that so called Christians tend to focus on the "sin" of being gay while ignoring sins like divorce, gluttony, unfaithfulness (e.g., Tiger Woods) and the whole nine yards.

I never saw much of him, but I guess Airplane. I think after he switched over to comedic roles in the 80's he was probly the bet one liner in a way long time may he RIP

Odd, never heard he was gay. Granted, it wouldn't have mattered one iota to me either way...his sexual orientation had little bearing on his undeniable talent. If so, however, he certainly succeeded in staying in the closet a long, long time given his 4 marriages and several children.
