Scoffers- Since I have been on the site..Many of you fell for Man Made Global Warming?

You believed that Christians did not give a hoot owl about the enviroment
You believed Al Gore..You never thought we would see a economic collapse of our banking system..Now you believe Obama will make all things new> give you the stability to live the way you want...

You thought buying those whitey light bulbs and buying a hybrid was going to stabalize the weather..WELL NOW

Since you are wrong...and what Christians have been telling you that these events happening in our world are the prophetic end time events spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ..Who do you trust now?

Does GOD have to drop a house on your heads to get your attention?

Satellite imagery from the National Snow and Ice Data Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder reveals that a 13,680 square kilometer (5,282 square mile) ice shelf has begun to collapse because of rapid climate change in a fast-warming region of Antarctica.

There will be signs in the SUN, the moon, and the stars, and there will be distress on earth among the nations that are confused by the roaring of the sea and its waves.

Matthew 24:37-39 (King James Version)

37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I didn't especially believe that Christians didn't give a hoot about climate change (which is man made and is a fact). Economic distress seems to be a cyclical thing, so we'll see more in the future, no doubt.

As for the end of times rubbish, people have believed that they lived in those times at the end of the Roman Empire, the end of the first millennium, the Black Plague and the end of the last millennium, and we're still here.

It's incredible how you say that "God created science for us to learn", and yet how little science you actually use to come to your conclusions.

You point out that in Luke, it talks about signs being in the sun, and then you talk about the 11 year sunspot cycle. We are currently in a part of that cycle where there are very little sunspots. Are you suggesting that every 11 years we're supposed to think that the world is going to end?

You're arguments are incoherent. They make no sense and jump from one topic to the next. Try thinking of a way to state your case in a logical coherent way next time.

No, I have always thought that global warming was a natural phenomena. It occurs on Mars just as it does on Earth. A cycle of nature. Predictable and obvious if you know where and how to look.

There are two significant conceits here:

1. That ancient scientists would have been less able to see these signs than modern scientists. That's rubbish... Modern man has become more generalised in knowledge - we are less likely to analyse a single concept now than we were way back then. The bible writers simply used the findings of these scientists in the creation of their story book.

2. Attributing easily explainable phenomena and concepts to a deity. Puh-leeze!!!

Where is your question? Seems this is an end of days rant. Oddly, if you go to the home page of Yahoo, it shows a picture of the sun and shows the latest sunspot.

Remember, medication is suppose to taken according to the dosage on the bottle. Whew.

everything runs in cycles, you should know that by now, it's called 'nature', our planet has been running hot and cold from just after the big bang, the ice on Mars is melting which means my carbon footprint must go a long way, unless the people on Mars use cars, etc.

Be careful when mixing science in with your religion. Remember the first guy who found those sunspots was charged as a heretic and placed under house arrest.

No, global warming has a very rational, natural explanation: humans have been changing the chemical composition of the atmosphere by dumping billions of tons of carbon dioxide into it for the last 150+ years. No vague biblical passages are necessary to figure that out.

Why do the fundies deny global warming? Does it threaten your buy-bull or are you just stupid?

It is illuminating that the same ignorant people who deny global warming are also creationists. That has to be an indication of the LACK OF intelligence of those people.

Not to argue, but to clarify- It is man that is causing the terrible damage to the earth and the ecosystem. However, it is ultimately God that is using these events to open the eyes of mankind to our stupidity and selfishness. It is through these end time events that God is drawing men unto Himself like never before. Amen!

It is debatable whether global warming is man made or a natural Earth cycle.

It is NOT debatable that "god did it"

Fellow atheists I am tempted to actually pray that she won't vote.

I believe that there should be a sanity test given before someone earns the right to vote.
