Why can no-one intelligently debate the issue of Islam?

In Britain over 80% of ALL child-sex cases are "asian" men (ALL muslim, including black african muslims) 30% of ALL men sentenced are named Mohammed yet muslims make up a tiny 6% of the population. Its well documented in Australia (lebanese muslims) its getting worse in Canda aswell. Also, no Islamic countries believe in human rights as they're politics are dictated by the koran which has no place in the 21st century. Any thoughts? Actual thoughts with ideas that are backed-up as opposed to the mind-less and frankly pathetic "racist" "islamaphobe" crap uneducated muslims and left-wingers throw out due to their lack of intelligence. Yes I posted this already but it won't let me respond to the answers (which both proved my point XD) so I'm trying again. Appreciate any genuine answers from people with intelligent points (agree or disagree) Ohhh and btw, my fiancee is muslim so if ya going to call me racist or xenophobic etc Try Again..

Where to start...

1. Sex crimes

~ It is not nor has ever been accepted in Islam or by Muslims that rape of any sort is good and should be ignored if it happens.

The Qur'an and the Prophet Mohammed say that it is bad, haram, and should never be done.

(Muslim religious leaders condemn child sex grooming: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-23087686)

~ Even if facts say that Muslims where to blame doesn't mean that all Muslims are like that...

Facts also say that the figures from the Metropolitan Police Service on Anti-Muslim Prejudice or Islamophobia have increased over the past year by at least 60% and yet not everyone is like that.

Muslim is just a name, it isn't the definition of someone who follows and represents Islam.

~ Anyone who says that Muslims are terrorists are wrong, sure there are terrorists who are Muslims but this doesn't make them "MUSLIMS" if they do not follow what is said in the Qur'an, no one can properly define them as proper Muslims and should therefore not say that Muslims and Islam are bad and are symbols of terrorism.

2. Name Mohammed (and various spellings)

~ Invalid argument in any case, the name Mohammed is an incredibly popular name.

~ In Muslim families, a lot of parents chose for their child to have the name of the founder of Islam.

~ Many people have reported on this fact and you can't say for a fact that the name Mohammed comes with a bad meaning.

3. "no Islamic countries believe in human rights as they're politics are dictated by the koran which has no place in the 21st century."

~ Their politics are not (always) dictated by the Qur'an, the Qur'an teaches peace and acceptance and gives MANY people rights, women included.

~ Politics and Islam are 2 completely different things. A lot of people get Islam and culture also mixed up. Where politics do link with the Qur'an it's for good reasons and generally those reasons are for the safety of the population.

~ There will obviously be extremes and rulers who twist meanings to fit to what they want but this is wrong!

~ Islam is a way of life that can be applied in any time, past, present and future, nothing says it doesn't belong especially when Islam is growing, it is spreading around the globe and therefore belongs to anyone who chooses to accept it.

4. The Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) "The way I see it is Muhammed was a paedophile (proven)"

~ There is absolutely no proof whatsoever.

~ Times were different, girls became women a lot younger than today as the life expectancy was short.

~ The Prophet (peace be upon him) was a very good man who helped people to understand how life should be lived and the real meaning of Jihad and that there are strict rules with it!

The first issue here is citation. You are quoting that 80% of child-sex cases are committed by those of Asian ethnicity however you don't provide any citation and it is a well known fact that offences committed within the Asian community are greatly under-reported making the 80% very unlikely. Likewise, claiming that 30% of those convicted are called Mohammed without citation is laughable and just comes across as if you are just spreading propaganda.

The issue is that almost all religions are based on control and the best way to gain that control is to control the females in the population because they are the mothers of the next generation that you wish to control. This is why any differences in treatment based on gender is a big tell-tale of when control is being implemented. Christianity is just as guilty of this. Like Christians, most Muslims are peaceful, caring members of the community who cherry-pick from their religious texts however we notice the noisy ones, those protesting in the street or exploding bombs etc.

You mean “Why can no-one intelligently debate the issue of Islam WITH ME?” The answer is very loud and clear in what you have posted.

Islam’s highest source is the HQ (Holy Qur’an)

The HQ does not condone any of the criminal acts in your post.

To blame Islam for any wrong that a Muslim is convicted of is like blaming the British law for the robberies murders and other crimes that take place in Britain. It’s not exactly intelligent.

Rational and wise choice in what you say requires objective study and comparison. There are several translations of the HQ into English why not get yourself a free copy and check things out for yourself. It’s the best way to study Islam objectively, out of curiosity or to appear better informed in discussions.

The best source for a free copy is your local mosque, but there are many websites that offer free paper copies and/or free downloads. One such being http://islamtomorrow.com/downloads/index.asp which is a site hosted by a former preacher from Texas.

I knew the stat was high, but 80%? Do you have a source for that?

I'd also be interested whether the children were Muslim or not.

I know that there have been child grooming gangs in the UK, many of them Muslim, preying on young teenagers. My guess it has to do with the ghettoising of their culture, where they see outsiders as less than human and so legitimate prey.

I will only address the issue currently for self. I have been reviewing the deviations in Christianity at present. After 'correcting' for the 10 deviations (that I currently know of), I find Judaism and Christianity, while they are different, they are MUCH CLOSER than many presently may believe.

I currently do not have a Koran to 'read' as time permits currently either. (I do have a Book of Mormon; which I already read). I would not 'rule out' reading the Koran presently. (I have read part of it in English (library copy).

Congratulations: you're a racist who's engaged to a Muslim, who can't seem to argue without lashings of confirmation bias. I'm sure some muslim can cherry pick statistics from various countries that paint Islam in a positive light.

Despite the hypocrisy, "Say my religion is peaceful or I'll kill you and your family" is pretty effective as a deterrent.

I am willing to argue about Islam, but calling them pedophiles isn't the answer; most Muslims aren't pedophiles or terrorists; however, the Qu'ran does encourage both pedophilia and terrorism. Perhaps argue about the belief - that is, the Qu'ran - rather than the believers - that is, individuals who vary very much; some are pedophiles, some are not; some are terrorists, some are not and so on.

How strange. I have no idea where those statistics are from, though, and if there were severe fear of Islam then it is possible that would bias people to sentence them more...but I doubt it would cause such a large discrepancy.

Why should anyone?

If you read 'Unveiling Islam' by the Caner brothers you will find all the relevant information about Islam and why you cannot 'intelligently' debate it.
