Did Jesus really exist ? is there any evidence historically of Jesus Christ ? So what if a person named Jesus existed ...he most likely is a composite character of many men of the time who opposed what organized religion had become . and also opposed the rule of the Roman Empire .. oppression and excessive taxation of the people ..religion had forced an alliance with the Roman empire to maintain their own control over the people if you actually . read the words supposedly attributed to the Character ...they are that of the advocate for . the sick. poor and oppressed . he also spoke of no need for temples . or religious leader , that all men should seek inner peace more of speech of a Humanitarian than of divinity ..So my point is even if such a man or many men of this character existed in reality ,, the question still is Is or was he DIVINE .a God supernatural ....its like the people claiming the shroud of Turin is real ...I say to you yes you have a piece of cloth it is a real piece of cloth .. it exist ..you call it a shroud of Turin ....its Odd you did not name it the shroud of Jesus .. you CLAIM it is his shroud ....and you can claim it all you wish ,,and if you ever prove it belonged to a man name Jesus ,,,SO WHAT .. you have never proven his DIVINITY ..so proving a man name Jesus actually existed...only demonstrates that .....the prime issue is HE Divine a god ....your question actually kind of plays into the religious 's thinking that if you prove Jesus you prove god . no you prove a man lived ,,the question has always been one of do GODS EXIST and the SUPERNATURAL .......If they had historical evidence of Jesus it would be plastered all over the news . do you really think they would keep it a secret ..I have yet to see it some claim a reference of Jesus in some writing of Josephus written 93-94 AD . almost 100 years later and is not considered authenticated by scholars and most likely a reference of stories told the legend . most likely age wise was not alive nor ever met a supposed Jesus . but referencing the oral stories ....thank you for the question ..actually the name is Iesus Hebrew has no letter "J" the name Jesus does not appear til 400 years ago a from the Spanish language ...actually in the Original King James bible it is spelled with an "I" the odd part is Iesus sounds so close to the name Isis the Egyptian god who was also resurrected in an afterlife . ascended to the "Heavens" and with the invention of cell phones with cameras and video all the claims of so called miracles have sharply decreased ? thank you for the question

Show me some skeletal remains of Columbus, or Geronimo, or even Elmo Jenkins. There is plenty of historical evidence that Jesus existed. More than for most other historical figures from that time period. The questions is only: is he the son of, and equal to God. The New testament wasn't written long after the fact, and some people were still alive who remembered. Logically one would remember precisely what he said and did. The accounts written, or spoken, within a hundred years of his life would likely be nearly exact. In a case like that you would pay attention to details and not just make it up. People who knew him chose to die horrendous deaths rather than deny what they knew to be true. Who would do that for propaganda? To spread some BS? Why?

(Yes). Much eyewitness evidence and forever recorded in scripture. Great question. Thank you! Thousands and thousands of people eye witnessed his life, miracles, and death. Hundreds and hundreds eye witnessed him in their midst after rising from the grave for 40 days before he ascended back into heaven where he came from.

People can't stop talking about him. Ever wondered why we are in the year 2015? Even our calendar revolves around Jesus Christ.

One big error today in some denominations in 21st century Christianity in America is the teaching that the great tribulation is still future.... we know that Christ Himself not only predicted it in the 1st century.... Matthew 24:34.... but history proves it all came to pass... AD 70. Not only that.... but Christ also said it would never be equaled again... verse 21. Just as it happened in the 1st century, we can rest assure there will never be such distress on the earth again. Same as with the flood. It can never happen again according to God's promise. His promise in the Old and New Testaments respectively.

We know Christ is coming back on the last day, absolutely - future. And we know that the flood and the great tribulation is past.

I'm of the school that states that 'Jesus' was a Roman CIA operation that got out of hand. The Jews of the time simply couldn't or wouldn't sit still under the Roman Occupation because of their religion. The Romans were idol worshiping barbarians who demanded that the Jews basically stop being Jews. How to do that?

Using the template of the Roman military religion of Mithraism concerning the coming of the promised 'Savior', His death and restoration of life and the Hebrew belief in a 'Savior' the Roman CIA made that happen. Paul, the former operative for the Roman government and now a Roman CIA operative, created a 'new religion' that would be 'Roman friendly'.

Oddly, within a couple of hundred years this 'made up religion', like Mormonism in 'latter days' was a big hit and began to threaten Roman political and social order. Ironically a religion created to help restore Roman order in an obscure part of the Empire had to be repressed, but by then it was too late to reverse.

Here we have an example of the simplest answer being the most likely and it eliminates any hocus-pocus. The Catholic Church probably has some documentation for the above, though more likely any documentation has long since been 'shredded'. This does need some discussion, eh?

Could a mythical character—a person who never really lived—have affected human history so remarkably? The reference work The Historians’ History of the World observed: “The historical result of [Jesus’] activities was more momentous, even from a strictly secular standpoint, than the deeds of any other character of history. A new era, recognised by the chief civilisations of the world, dates from his birth.” Think about it. Even some calendars today are based on the year that Jesus was thought to have been born. “Dates before that year are listed as B.C., or before Christ,” explains The World Book Encyclopedia. “Dates after that year are listed as A.D., or anno Domini (in the year of our Lord).”

The first person to produce a single tiny little piece of verifiable evidence for Jesus ever really having existed will become world famous and mega rich!

Academia states that in the absence of any sort of evidence of the existence of something it must be deemed not to exist until verifiable evidence is found - thus god is held not to exist pending some sort of verifiable evidence.

The bible is what is called "Faction” A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not!

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!

There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?

Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!

At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed!

Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead?

Christianity is an invention of the Italians and that is why it came from the Holy ROMAN Catholic church!

Please realize that those claims for the Old historians are worthless since they were not even born until long after everyone in the stories would have been so long dead!

Josephus AD 37 – AD 100

Tacitus AD 56 – AD 120

Suetonius - 69 – 130 AD

Pliny the Younger, 61 AD – 112 AD

Justin Martyr (Saint Justin) AD103–165 AD

Lucian - AD 120 -180 AD but he was hostile to Christianity and openly mocked it.

Pamphilius AD 240-309 AD

Eusebius AD 263 – 339 AD

Photius AD 877 – 886 AD

Thallus - But there are no actual record of him except a fragment of writing which mentions the sack of Troy [109 BC] Showing that he was clearly not alive in biblical times.

Some even try to use Seneca. 4 BCE – 65 CE but as a Stoic Philosopher he opposed religion yet made not a single mention of a Jesus or Christianity!

Even funnier is trying to claim Celsus AD ? – 177 AD Who said that Jesus was a Jew who’se mother was a poor Jewish girl whose husband, who was a carpenter, drove her away because of her adultery with a Roman soldier named Panthera. She gave birth to an illegitimate child named Jesus. In Egypt, Jesus became learned in sorcery and upon his return presented himself as a god.

It is a very interesting question.

According to the holy Quran and prophet Muhammad (P. B. U. H), Jesus Christ hasn't died, but they are a live. There is very big story about the Jesus, that when enemies tried to kill Jesus Christ, Jesus called the God "Allah" for help. Then the God took him up on to the sky and send an artificial Jesus in front of the enemies. I don't know more about artificial Jesus like who killed him and all. However Jesus Christ will be back before the end of this world, not as prophet but as a follower of Prophet Muhammad (P. B. H. S). This is the promise of Almighty Allah, and Allah never change his promises you believe or not......

The Lord said that He would scatter the Jewish people into all the world and in the latter days He would regather them back to their homeland and make them a nation once again and in one day. The Bible mentions them flying back long before planes were invented. On May 14, 1948, in one day the UN declared Israel a nation once again. The Jewish people are flying back on airplanes.

Chris: It did not all come pass in AD 70. The Jews were regathering in the late 1800s and early 1900s back to their land. The flood of Jews coming home happened after the Holocaust and WWII. Three years after the end of WWII, the UN declared them a nation once again. This has never happened before in history. This is truly a miraculous event.

And few will even think about it.

Nous: You are wrong in so many points. Truly you are a hater. Apostle John who wrote the Book of John, 1,2 and 3 John and the Book of Revelation was the youngest disciple of Jesus. Jude was l/2 brother to Jesus and so was James. Pontius Pilot wrote a letter about Jesus in the Roman history, etc.

Nous: I have heard the audible voice of my Lord. Jesus said,"My sheep hear my voice...." I am a follower of Jesus Christ and when my Lord speaks you cannot forget what He says. There is something about the human mind that cannot forget the words of God. It is as if they have been engraved in my memory. This is different from the "still small voice" of the Holy Spirit saying, "Walk this way." The Holy Spirit guides me, teaches me about Jesus and brings Scripture to my remembrance.

The audible voice came twice to promote me from one position to another. The first time I received a hunger in my soul for the Word of God. This came from 2 words spoken to me by the Lord. The second time I was given great faith when shown an angel. This came from 8 words spoken to me by the Lord. So, I have received 10 words and these words so changed my life that you can never convince me that my Jesus does not exist. I want you Nous to hear from the Lord. Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto Me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not."

The Bible is historical evidence of Jesus but the best evidence is in the hearts of believers. The Bible is the most read and year after year the biggest seller of any book printed. For those who say Jesus never existed they are just admitting that they are rejecting His offer of eternal Salvation through repentance of sin and commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. You have a choice. God bless

There is no mention of such a persons in actual history. The first thing to think about is, the Judeans living in Judea in the 1st century CE were under complete occupation and control of the Romans. They were not even allowed to practice their religion of Judaism without permission from Rome; their priest would not allowed to wear their priest robes except for special occasions and only by permission from Rome. The Roman invented Jesus, wrote the NT and invented Catholicism in their attempt to destroy Judaism which was what kept the Judeans revolting against Roman rule. Any religion that would have been made at that time in Judea would have to have the approval fro Rome. The Judeans knew this and this is why they never accepted the NT story. They used the god of the Judeans to be father of their invented Jesus thinking the Judeans would believe the story and drop Judaism. Christianity today lies to all people about this and makes tons of money using that fictional story.

I hope this question is sincere!

The last part first: Jesus was resurrected by Jehovah as a spirit; Ergo no physical remains.

The first part last: 1. The first-century Jewish historian Josephus referred to the stoning of “James, the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ.” (The Jewish Antiquities, Josephus, Book XX, sec. 200)

2. Tacitus, a Roman historian who lived during the latter part of the first century C.E., wrote: “Christus [Latin for “Christ”], from whom the name [Christian] had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus.”—The Complete Works of Tacitus (New York, 1942), “The Annals,” Book 15, par. 44.

3. With reference to early non-Christian historical references to Jesus, The New Encyclopædia Britannica states: “These independent accounts prove that in ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus, which was disputed for the first time and on inadequate grounds by several authors at the end of the 18th, during the 19th, and at the beginning of the 20th centuries.”—(1976), Macropædia, Vol. 10, p. 145.

First, Jesus ascended to heaven so there will not be any bones or remains as he was not buried long enough to have decomposed.

Second, 1) http://y-jesus.com/is-there-any-evidence-from-secular-sources-that-jesus-even-existed/

2) http://beginningandend.com/jesus-exist-historical-evidence-jesus-christ/

There really isn't any.

There exists no contemporary documentary evidence of Jesus, and the most often-cited writings are both much later than the supposed events, and in several cases are also clearly forgeries done even later still.

4 out of 5 of the SMARTEST physicists(scientists) in history including Michael FARADAY(we would be living a primitive lifestyle without Faraday, who was a literalist born-again Christian),James Clerk MAXWELL( widely accepted as 3rd greatest physicist) ,Werner Heisenberg(inventor of Quantum physics!) and, the incomparable genius Leonhard Euler, ALL wisely believed JESUS was God, and that he rose from the dead, to give those of us terrible sinners ++(ever told a white lie? Then you have greatly sinned: God expects perfection to get into heaven, that's why perfect Jesus washed away our sins by His blood and death on the Cross )++ who believe in Him(Jesus) eternity in Heaven.

Every one of the scientists mentioned above was far smarter than Stephen Hawking. The physicists of today use the physics and mathematics of the true-believer Christian scientific geniuses I have mentioned in the opening paragraph.

So BE INTELLIGENT and believe in Jesus as most of the greatest physicists did. Check out the great physicists "Pascal's Wager".

Furthermore all great Roman historians believed absolutely that Jesus was a real historical person BECAUSE there is historical evidence. They should know. In fact the greatest Roman historian of modern times, Professor Gaetano De Sanctis, said that "THE NAZARETH INSCRIPTION " PROVED THAT THE EMPTY TOMB OF JESUS -AND THEREFORE JESUS - EXISTED!

Don't be afraid of Jesus. He loves you and just wants you to believe in him as your God and Savior.

Nope, no skeletal remains exist, as what records we DO have say that He ascended bodily up into the clouds. But, Historian Josephus Flavius makes brief mention of Jesus' life in his secular writings. Historical evidence tells us that all of the Apostles died because of their unmoving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Have you ever known anyone who was willing to die for a cause they knew was a lie?

The Holy Quran Confirms that Jesus [pbuh] was born to a Virgin named Mary[ pbuh], without Male intervention and was a prophet of Almighty Allah the one True God.He was Taken Up to Heaven Alive [when the jews Plotted to Kill him ] and will be sent back to Earth at some Point in Time to complete his mission and then, die for the first time. The Holy Quran Proves that it is the word of Almighty God and No one has been able to find a fault/ or false prophecy, or Scientific error in it since it was revealed 1400 years ago.The prophet Muhammed [peace and blessing be upon him] spoke and discribed Jesus [pbuh] to the Muslims.

Skeletons.

Our being is almost entirely depraved and sickening, we're skeletons. A bag of bones. It's horrible, terrifying, creepy, sick, just wrong in everyway.

Sorry, you just reminded me that im a skeleton, easily broken and agonizingly as well when it happens, just rotting away slowly. When my eyeballs rot out of my skull and my life and flesh is gone ill be nothing but old bones and they to shall turn to dust.

If we were smart at all we'd quit doing this you know. But maybe we should go completely in the opposite direction and just continue putting billions more here, yeah let's just do that.

People who wrote about Jesus including the 1st century historian Dr Luke are true. they do not tell lies.

Paul also wrote about Jesus:

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in very nature God,

did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

7 rather, he made himself nothing

by taking the very nature of a servant,

being made in human likeness.

8 And being found in appearance as a man,

he humbled himself

by becoming obedient to death—

even death on a cross!

9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

and gave him the name that is above every name,

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus Christ is alive today because He transforms people's lives. He will transform your life when u surrender your life to Jesus as your Lord. read John 3.

Jesus name can also be translated from hebrew as a shortened name for Joseph. Some theories suggest "Jesus" is the ancient equivalent of the term "Average Joe." For the historical Christian Jesus, he is referenced in several other religious texts, so it is hard to say.

Jesus’ purpose in teaching his disciples was to make them like himself, preachers and teachers of the good news of the Kingdom. “A pupil is not above his teacher, but everyone that is perfectly instructed will be like his teacher,” Jesus said. (Lu 6:40) The effectiveness of Christ’s teaching was proved by subsequent history. His disciples continued in the work he had taught them and made disciples throughout the Roman Empire, in Asia, Europe, and Africa, before the close of the first century. This was their principal work, in accord with Jesus Christ’s command at Matthew 28:19, 20.

That Christians to this very day are obligated to make disciples of the people of the nations is made clear by the closing words of Jesus’ command: “And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” They are not making disciples for themselves, as those taught are really disciples of Jesus Christ, for it is the teaching, not of men, but of Christ, that they follow. Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones doing these things and that is proof of Jesus enough. Plus many places in the Hebrew text told of his being born and all the details as well as his death and all the details.

While there are not skeletal remains of Jesus because of his assumption to heaven, there are skeletal remains of the rest of his family in their ossuaries, as well as an ossuary (never used) for Jesus himself, inscribed with his name. An ossuary stolen from the family vault in Israel is inscribed "James son of Joseph, brother of Jesus" and is of the same stone and manufacture as the others, including a unique carving on the edge of all of the family's ossuaries. Further dna evidence proves that the French royal family descend directly from Mary Magdalene and Jesus, into the French royal house of Valois and the Hernandez family of Spain.

Yes, Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) did exist, but there is no physical proof of his existence. So if you wish, you may believe and if you wish, you may disbelieve. In my religion, Islam, Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God (Allah), who had absolutely no share of divinity. Allah, says in the Qu'ran:

"And they said we have killed the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, the Messenger of God. They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, though it was made to appear like that to them; those that disagreed about him are full of doubt, with no knowledge to follow, only supposition: they certainly did not kill him. On the contrary, God raised him unto himself. God is almighty and wise." (4: 157-158)

So there wouldn't be any physical remains of Prophet Jesus pbuh as he was raised up to heaven by Allah. Jesus pbuh will, however, return to this earth near the end of times.

There are many witnesses that testify that Jesus actually existed.

First and foremost there is the Bible. - The Bible contains the four Gospels - Mathew, Mark, Luke and John written by four different authors and the letters written by - Peter, James, Paul and Jude etc.

There are also the historical writings of hostile witnesses - Josephus, Tacitus and Pliny the Younger.

Plus there the many writings from the first century church.

All these give witnesses to the fact that Jesus actually existed.

Additional:

There is one other witness and that is History is self. The Bible has proven itself to be an Historical accurate document. Why should it lie only about one aspect of history.

THE BIBLE came on to the streets hot off the press for ordinary people to read,330 years after the so called crucifixion of jesus, now there are no documented evidence or records on this earth, proving that it ever took place, what backs this up is the roman empire, which we know almost everything about it, because the romans recorded every thing that took place in their terrorties including their occupation area's,by writing daily reports, weekly reports and monthly reports on what was going on in their area, this is why we know the names of the most important romans in the empire, including a personal report on the indevidiall commanders, the report on pontius pilote, said he was not exactly a good governor,he tended to delegate his duties to suborniates,so that he could go to parties which he loved,at the same time the crucifixion of the king of the jews would have made big headlines, and nothing was ever reported on his file appertaining to this subject ?the only thing that backs up the christian faith is the bible,an it is not the word of god as they claim, but a comgloberation of short stories and thoughts made up from peoples imagination of that time, and their thoughts on what they thought would have taken place in their personal opinion, which brings us back to where it all started THE BIBLE the greatest book of fiction ever written by mortal man, think about it ok.

There is no historical, archaeological, or scientific evidence WHATSOEVER that this person existed, other than hearsay accounts based on mythology. The most astounding individual ever to live... walked on water, healed the sick, raised the dead, amassed thousands of followers, angered the regional governments, and rose from the grave... and there is NOT A SINGLE contemporary account of any of this??? NO ONE... including the main character... thought to write down a single word about any of this? The only accounts we have are from unknown authors, whose original texts have been long lost, that were compiled decades and centuries later.

Sorry folks. It's a fable from mythology. Nothing more. And please spare me Josephus, Tacitus, and the others who supposedly corroborate the stories. They were not even born when it happened, their works have frequently been tampered with by the church over the years, and they were merely providing documentation about the rise of Christianity. They were not eyewitnesses because there IS NOT A SINGLE EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT.

Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) We have faith that Jesus came to earth from heaven and gave his perfect human life as a ransom sacrifice. (Matthew 20:28) His death and resurrection make it possible for those exercising faith in him to gain everlasting life. (John 3:16) We also believe that Jesus is now ruling as King of God’s heavenly Kingdom, which will soon bring peace to the entire earth. (Revelation 11:15) However, we take Jesus at his word when he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) So we do not worship Jesus, as we do not believe that he is Almighty God.

Jesus existence is the best documented of any historical person. There is no close second. Over 80% of historians document His existence.

As He arose bodily you will have no success finding His body or skeleton but if you ever do you will prove Christianity is a hoax. Some people have claimed to have found Jesus sarcofagus but these claims have never been substansiated. No documentation exists to support these claims and they have been rejected. .

Yes Jesus was GOD and yet fully man. There was over 500 people whom witness JESUS ,after his resurrection from the tomb. Lets just say if this where to go before a court . The evidence of JESUS existence and resurrection would be and open and shut case. The bible has many writers who were instructed by the HOLY SPIRIT, to what they were to record on those days scrolls. You ask yourself how could some many different author write the bible and yet it sems at though only one person had written it. Cause the bible is divinely inspired and a guide to living on earth, until we depart through death . We then are immediately face to face with GOD our creator, whom will judge all perfectly. Theres no time to waste seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened . So just do your part get into a bible believing church, research and study the NiV bible. then ask GOD to show you the truth as only he can. GOD bless I hope you take this advice to heart and praise GOD.

A clever trick was played out in that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and went into heaven. So, any 'remains;' went with him. End of.

Yes.

One of the latest (and most pitiful) attacks on Christianity by atheist extremists is to try to convince people that Jesus Christ never existed.

There is no evidence for almost all of the 240 million people alive in the year 33 CE but there is evidence of the historical person of Jesus Christ. http://www.scottmanning.com/archives/World%20Population%20Estimates%20Interpolated%20and%20Averaged.pdf

Call them short-sighted but historians write about history and not current events. Unless someone was royalty (and sometimes not even then) almost no one received "contemporary attestation." If this standard was used with Alexander the Great, Socrates, and Cleopatra then it would be determined that they did not exist.

Why is it that:

+ People accept what Greeks and pro-Greeks wrote about Greeks (Writers who feared death if they offended the Greeks in power by telling the truth), and

+ People accept what Romans and pro-Romans wrote about Romans (Writers who feared death if they offended the Romans in power by telling the truth), but

+ People refuse to accept what Christians wrote about Christians (Writers who only feared God if they bore false witness by lying)??

Luckily there is an abundance of anti-Christians who wrote about Christ. For example:

The (Pagan) Roman historian and senator Tacitus referred to Jesus Christ, His execution by Pontius Pilate and the persecution of early Christians in Rome in his 109 AD work, "The Annals,"

"Consequently, to get rid of the report (that Nero started the great fire of Rome), Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their centre and become popular. Accordingly, an arrest was first made of all who pleaded guilty; then, upon their information, an immense multitude was convicted, not so much of the crime of firing the city, as of hatred against mankind. Mockery of every sort was added to their deaths. Covered with the skins of beasts, they were torn by dogs and perished, or were nailed to crosses, or were doomed to the flames and burnt, to serve as a nightly illumination, when daylight had expired."

Book 15, chapter 44 of "The Annals" by Tacitus, translated by Alfred John Church and William Jackson Brodribb http://classics.mit.edu/Tacitus/annals.11.xv.html

A final few words: The noted historian Will Durant wrote: “That a few simple men should in one generation have invented so powerful and appealing a personality, so lofty an ethic and so inspiring a vision of human brotherhood, would be a miracle far more incredible than any recorded in the Gospels.”

To begin, there is no skeleton because Jesus resurrected from the dead, but I advise you to look up the Shroud of Turin which is the burial cloth that was used. Evidence shows that it would have been nearly impossible for an artist to paint and create the shroud and they have done several tests on the Shroud to prove it's authenticity. Also, I advise you to research on testimonies from people, the fire of the holy spirit falling on a group of people, and Eucharist miracles in which often times bread turns into bleeding flesh. The flesh was once tested by scientists and proven to be the blood of a Jewish male, AB blood (I believe... I don't remember the exact blood type), and the flesh was from the inner part of the heart! So maybe reading on that would validate that Christ did indeed exist.

There is no end to proof show me this show me that. Believe first and you will be given all the proof you could ever want but the unbelieving will never believe no matter how much proof is given. Jesus never did any miracle to cause someone to believe in him. He did them out of compassion for the people who needed help and who came to him believing that he could help them if he wanted to. The ones who came looking for a sign never got any sign. His only reply to them was no sign shall be given..."But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:"(Matthew 12:39)

John 3:16-21 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who BELIEVES in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who BELIEVES in him. But anyone who does not BELIEVE in him has already been judged for not BELIEVING in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

Really God made it really simple for people to be saved, all he wants is for you to trust him.

Christianity had a good, long run. But we are long past the point where it’s reasonable to be agnostic about the so-called “Jesus of Faith.” It’s ridiculous to pretend the lack of historical corroboration of the spectacular Gospel events, let alone the New Testament’s own fundamental contradictions, aren’t a fatal problem for Jesus the divine Son of God.

For example:

•Why does Philo of Alexandria discuss the contemporary state of first century Jewish sects in several of his writings, but not a word on the multitudes who followed the miracle-worker and bold, radical new teacher Jesus throughout the Galilee and Judea – or of all the long-dead Jewish saints who emerged from their freshly opened graves and wandered the streets of Jerusalem, appearing to many?

•If Jesus was really found guilty of blasphemy by the Sanhedrin, why was he not simply stoned to death, as Jewish law required (Mishnah Sanhedrin 6:4 h & i)? Why is the original trial account of Jesus so full of other unhistorical details and just plain mistakes that could never have actually happen as portrayed? How can each successive gospel continue to overload the original story with their own additional layers of details that are mutually incompatible with the others?

•Why does Seneca the Younger record all kinds of unusual natural phenomena in the seven books of his Quaestiones Naturales, including eclipses and earthquakes, but not mention the Star of Bethlehem, the pair of Judean earthquakes that were strong enough to split stones, or the hours of supernatural darkness that covered “all the land” – an event he would have witnessed firsthand?

•Why can’t the Gospels agree on so many fundamental facts about Jesus’ life and ministry, such as what his relationship to John the Baptist was – and why was John the Baptist’s cult a rival to Christianity until at least the early second century?

•Who were Jesus’ disciples, and why is it no Gospels agree on who they were? Why do the disciples disappear so quickly in the New Testament after the Gospels, only to pop up again centuries later when churches start spinning rival legends that they were busy founding Christian communities all along? If any were martyred for their faith, as Christians frequently insist, why don’t we have any details of any of the disciples’s deaths in the bible?

•When his skeptical Roman opponent Celsus asks the early church father Origen what miracles Jesus performed, why can Origen only respond lamely that Jesus’ life was indeed full of striking and miraculous events, “but from what other source can we can furnish an answer than from the Gospel narratives?” (Contra Celsum, 2.33)

•Why can’t the Gospels agree on so many fundamental facts about Jesus’ life and ministry? For instance, if he was born during the reign of Herod the Great, or over a decade later, during Quirinius’ tenure? Or why he was arrested? Or on which day he died? Or whether he appeared alive again for just a single day, or for more about a week, or for forty days? Or where and when he appeared alive again, and to whom?

•Why are there so many anachronisms and basic mistakes and misunderstandings about first century Judean Judaism? Why are the Gospels all written in Greek, not Aramaic? Why do Christians insist that they are eyewitness accounts when none claim to be, or even read as if they were, or if all contain indications that they were written generations later?

•Why is Paul – and every other Christian writer from the first generation of Christianity – so silent on any details of Jesus’ life? Why do they display so much ignorance of Jesus’ teachings and miracles?

•Despite the frequent boasts in the New Testament of Christianity spreading like wildfire, attracting new converts by the thousands with every new miracle or inspired sermon, why does Christianity remain a struggling, obscure cult of feuding house churches on the fringe of Roman society for more than three centuries?

•Why is there not a single historical reference to Jesus in the entire first century; a pair of obviously interpolated snippets in the works of Flavius Josephus notwithstanding?

A number of secular writers who lived close to the time of Jesus made specific mention of him. Among them was Cornelius Tacitus, who recorded the history of Rome under the emperors. Regarding a fire that devastated Rome in 64 C.E., Tacitus relates that it was rumored that Emperor Nero was responsible for the disaster. Nero, says Tacitus, tried to place the blame on a group whom the populace called Christians. Tacitus writes: “Christus, from whom their name is derived, was executed at the hands of the procurator Pontius Pilate in the reign of Tiberius.”—Annals, XV, 44.

In discussing events that took place between the death of Festus, the Roman governor of Judea about 62 C.E., and the arrival of his successor, Albinus, Josephus says that High Priest Ananus (Annas) “convened the judges of the Sanhedrin and brought before them a man named James, the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ, and certain others.”—Jewish Antiquities, XX, 200 (ix, 1). Wow, are you serious? Man, today's generation is truly doomed to stupidity.... Ever hear of Thallus? Well, let's just say he is not in the Bible but her wrote about the crucifixion of Christ and what happened during this exact time.(On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down. This darkness Thallus, in the third book of his History, calls, as appears to me without reason, an eclipse of the sun.” (Julius Africanus, Chronography, 18:1) or how about Tacitus? This guy only had official record and account of how Jesus lived in Judea, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and had followers who were persecuted for their faith in Christ. In his “Annals’ of 116AD, he describes Emperor Nero’s response to the great fire in Rome and Nero’s claim that the Christians were to blame: this in itself describes the factual records of Christ and his arrest, being sentenced to the lashes and being crucified as well as the Roman guards who were put to death after running away from the "angel" who moved the stone and "stole" the body of Jesus.........lol.........yeah, no proof outside the Bible of Christ and his existence..........Well, maybe in the minds of the ignorant and idiotic who visit Atheist web sites and indoctrinate them with pure stupidity. Look man, if Christ was such a fairy tail no way would Christianity be what it is today. Every last word Christ said that was gong to happen has happened, or is happening right now. Christians are the most persecuted religion on the face of the earth and it's only going to get worse. We know this because Christ told us this over 2000 years ago. Have you ever heard of Josephus? I doubt that public schools even mention his name any longer because of the credence it lends to the validity of Christ Himself but at one time, this guy was taught in public schools in history. Josephus writes about Jesus in his “the Antiquities of the Jews” in 93AD. Josephus was born just four years after the crucifixion. He was a consultant for Jewish rabbis at an early age, became a Galilean military commander by the age of sixteen, and he was an eyewitness to much of what he recorded in the first century A.D. Under the rule of Roman emperor Vespasian, Josephus was allowed to write a history of the Jews. This history includes three passages about Christians, one in which he describes the death of John the Baptist, one in which he mentions the execution of James (and describes him as the brother of Jesus the Christ), and a final passage which describes Jesus as a wise man and the messiah. .....Now, as I said, this guys writing were once taken as historical fact, but, because the Atheist and anti god types tend to travel in packs and destroy every historical fact and document we tend to have, they create a bunch of BS and fabricate lies that actually get backed up by other like minded ignorants. Think "piltdown man" if you will,..............but, that's just a crumb on the historical documentation about Christ. Do some actual research on the subject and try going to valid unbiased places for your research. Try Jerusalem University and look into their Archaeological Department. Warning, much of what they have there is not allowed to be taught in the US due to once again, the facts and history lending to the validity of the Bible...........you know, that would be horrible to have facts of archaeological nature that back up a book called a fairy tail by how many again? oh yes, 6% of the worlds population vs the 80% that believe in God..........man, it makes you wonder if Atheists believe in the idea of the majority wins :)

When the Son of God, Jesus Christ, was on earth, he sent out his followers to announce the good news about God’s heavenly government. (Matthew 10:7) He instructed his disciples in the manner in which they should present this unusual and important message at each home and what steps to take “When you are entering into the house, greet the household; and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you. Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.”—Matthew 10:12-14. Note that Jesus instructed his disciples to “shake the dust off [their] feet” when they left a home or a town where there was a complete lack of interest in God’s Kingdom. Shaking the dust off one’s feet indicated a disclaiming of responsibility or accountability for the consequences that a householder would suffer because of lack of interest in God’s message. It implied that Jesus’ followers were peacefully departing and leaving that house or city to the consequences that would eventually come from God.

Show Interest—It Means Your Life!

It is of interest to note that Jesus Christ compared the responses of our day to those of the days of Noah and of Sodom and Gomorrah. (Matthew 24:37-39; Luke 17:26-30) Immorality and violence were prevalent both in the days of Noah and in the days of Lot. Indeed, the righteous man Lot was tormented and distressed when observing the lawlessness and the indulgence in loose conduct by the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah.—2 Peter 2:6-8. Yet, when Jesus refers to Noah’s day and to Lot’s day, he focuses our attention, not on the immorality and violence of those times, but, rather, on matters of daily concern—eating, drinking, marrying, being given in marriage, buying, selling, building, and planting. He indicated that many would not respond to the message of the good news of God’s Kingdom but would be preoccupied with the everyday affairs of life and thus show no interest in what Jehovah purposes to do. The message is one of life-or-death importance. Failure to listen would be costly. To take no note or show no interest is a serious sin.—Compare Matthew 6:31, 32. Just how serious? Jesus went on to explain: “On the Judgment Day God will show more mercy to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah than to the people of that town” who did not listen or show interest. (Matthew 10:15, Today’s English Version) If a person does show interest, listens, and believes the message, even though he may be immoral and violent, he can change his personality and find favor in Jehovah’s eyes to qualify as a subject of the Kingdom, even as the early Christians in Corinth did.—1 Corinthians 6:9-11. In all his conversations with his disciples, Jesus Christ urged them to listen, to pay attention, to show interest in the important message of the Kingdom of God. To rouse the attention of those to whom he spoke, he admonished: “Pay attention to how you listen.” “Let him that has ears to listen listen.” “Listen to me, all of you, and get the meaning.” “Listen and get the sense of it.”—Luke 8:18; Mark 4:9; 7:14; Matthew 15:10.

There's not going to be skeletal remains of a person who's not dead.

ypically, when this question is asked, the person asking qualifies the question with “outside of the Bible.” We do not grant this idea that the Bible cannot be considered a source of evidence for the existence of Jesus. The New Testament contains hundreds of references to Jesus Christ. There are those who date the writing of the Gospels to the second century A.D., more than 100 years after Jesus' death. Even if this were the case (which we strongly dispute), in terms of ancient evidences, writings less than 200 years after events took place are considered very reliable evidences. Further, the vast majority of scholars (Christian and non-Christian) will grant that the Epistles of Paul (at least some of them) were in fact written by Paul in the middle of the first century A.D., less than 40 years after Jesus' death. In terms of ancient manuscript evidence, this is extraordinarily strong proof of the existence of a man named Jesus in Israel in the early first century A.D.

It is also important to recognize that in A.D. 70, the Romans invaded and destroyed Jerusalem and most of Israel, slaughtering its inhabitants. Entire cities were literally burned to the ground. We should not be surprised, then, if much evidence of Jesus' existence was destroyed. Many of the eyewitnesses of Jesus would have been killed. These facts likely limited the amount of surviving eyewitness testimony of Jesus.

Considering that Jesus' ministry was largely confined to a relatively unimportant area in a small corner of the Roman Empire, a surprising amount of information about Jesus can be drawn from secular historical sources. Some of the more important historical evidences of Jesus include the following:

The first-century Roman Tacitus, who is considered one of the more accurate historians of the ancient world, mentioned superstitious “Christians” (from Christus, which is Latin for Christ), who suffered under Pontius Pilate during the reign of Tiberius. Suetonius, chief secretary to Emperor Hadrian, wrote that there was a man named Chrestus (or Christ) who lived during the first century (Annals 15.44).

Flavius Josephus is the most famous Jewish historian. In his Antiquities he refers to James, “the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ.” There is a controversial verse (18:3) that says, “Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man. For he was one who wrought surprising feats....He was [the] Christ...he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him.” One version reads, “At this time there was a wise man named Jesus. His conduct was good and [he] was known to be virtuous. And many people from among the Jews and the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. But those who became his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion, and that he was alive; accordingly he was perhaps the Messiah, concerning whom the prophets have recounted wonders.”

Julius Africanus quotes the historian Thallus in a discussion of the darkness which followed the crucifixion of Christ (Extant Writings, 18).

Pliny the Younger, in Letters 10:96, recorded early Christian worship practices including the fact that Christians worshiped Jesus as God and were very ethical, and he includes a reference to the love feast and Lord’s Supper.

The Babylonian Talmud (Sanhedrin 43a) confirms Jesus' crucifixion on the eve of Passover and the accusations against Christ of practicing sorcery and encouraging Jewish apostasy.

Lucian of Samosata was a second-century Greek writer who admits that Jesus was worshiped by Christians, introduced new teachings, and was crucified for them. He said that Jesus' teachings included the brotherhood of believers, the importance of conversion, and the importance of denying other gods. Christians lived according to Jesus’ laws, believed themselves to be immortal, and were characterized by contempt for death, voluntary self-devotion, and renunciation of material goods.

Mara Bar-Serapion confirms that Jesus was thought to be a wise and virtuous man, was considered by many to be the king of Israel, was put to death by the Jews, and lived on in the teachings of His followers.

Then we have all the Gnostic writings (The Gospel of Truth, The Apocryphon of John, The Gospel of Thomas, The Treatise on Resurrection, etc.) that all mention Jesus.

In fact, we can almost reconstruct the gospel just from early non-Christian sources: Jesus was called the Christ (Josephus), did “magic,” led Israel into new teachings, and was hanged on Passover for them (Babylonian Talmud) in Judea (Tacitus), but claimed to be God and would return (Eliezar), which his followers believed, worshipping Him as God (Pliny the Younger).

There is overwhelming evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ, both in secular and biblical history. Perhaps the greatest evidence that Jesus did exist is the fact that literally thousands of Christians in the first century A.D., including the twelve apostles, were willing to give their lives as martyrs for Jesus Christ. People will die for what they believe to be true, but no one will die for what they know to be a lie.

Your question: " Did Jesus really exist? Is there any historical evidence of Jesus Christ? Show me the proof without the Bible any skeleton remains of Jesus body?"

No, as far as I know the Gospels are contrived.

Although there may have been some particular person on whom the stories were centered, I know with absolute certainty that had he lived, he would not have performed miracles, would not have conversed with some so-called Satan, would not have flown up to the heavens under his own power, and so on.

Those things are simply impossible due to well known laws of nature.

At the sight below is some interesting education about how the Jesus god came to be popularized. It is a major part of the history of mass human behavior in some parts of this world and had unfortunate unintended consequences that cannot be rectified. The same has been true for all the other major religions, like it or not.

Ignorance of that history does not make it go away. The effects have been a disaster for humanity.

""From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians" tells the epic story of the rise of Christianity. The four hours explore the life and death of Jesus, and the men and women whose belief, conviction, and martyrdom created the religion we now know as Christianity."

There is a real world and it is far more interesting and dangerous than that described in the Gospels.

The Bible is a complete waste of your time, and so are religious rituals and other forms of acting out.

There are just too many problematic issues challenging the existence of our species, many of which are self-imposed, that cannot be resolved by the methods derived from Bible religion or any other religion. Had any of it actually worked, we would know by now. It is not worth fighting for, being a cause or symptom of problems, not a solution to those problems.

As you ask such questions, I must consider that maybe you are being paid to ask them.

Obviously nothing good has ever come from convincing people that they will live forever after they die so long as they believe whatever you tell them to believe. The claim is the major premise of Christianity. If you understood the history of mass human behavior, it would be acutely obvious to you that religion does not work. It is a dead end, literally.

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison."

He used his aide in this analogy: “If my good friend Dr. Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch. It’s normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others”… Pope Francis added that people who make fun of religion “are provocateurs. And what happens to them is what would happen to Dr. Gasparri if he says a curse word against my mother. There is a limit.” ”

That is not subtle. It is an incitement to violence as a means to suppress critics.

Had the Roman Catholic Church and its supporters not been beaten back in the 20th century, they would control Europe today with an iron fist: "No matter how immorally the many prominent Roman Catholic leaders of the Third Reich acted, their standing as "good Catholics" was never publicly challenged by their church's leaders until defeat or death had denied these Nazi Catholics the power to do much harm"

"On October 19, 2014, Paul VI (Monsignor Montini) in a solemn ceremony at the Vatican is to be beatified which is the first step to sainthood. A miracle, the curing of an unborn baby's illness, has been attributed to Paul VI. However, Holocaust Victims and their families from Eastern Europe who are locked in a decade's long legal dispute with the Vatican over looted assets from the Second World War, question the saintliness of the man who as Vatican Secretary of State supervised the infamous Vatican ratline funded with Holocaust era loot."
