It's sad that evolution has been preached as law. It's only the best explanation that non religious people have as to what our origins are. If we evolved from primates then we would have found skeletons of half man half chimp. ("Lucy" doesn't count because her bones were scattered over a two mile radius)

Carbon dating doesn't work for things dating before the Great flood about 6000 years ago. The atomospheric pressure changed which changes the decay of carbon 14 so it's not constant and you can't use it to accurately date things that old. If anybody is interested in talking about geologic evidence and why I feel that there are too many gaping holes in the theory of evolution shoot me an email at hockeyfan7602001@yahoo.com

Evolution is not a law. Ragzues it is not a proven law.

You know the "famous" drawing of the neanderthal, etc? Well, at the Int'l Congress of Zoology (1958). Dr. A.J.E.Cave said his examination showed that this famous skeleton found in France in the early 1900 is that of an old man who suffered from arthritis.

With the new DNA testing, etc, they've also figured out that the fossil of cro-magnon man is equal in physique and brain capacity to modern man...so what's the difference? Also, don't you ever see men that kind of look like cro-magnon man?

The Piltdown man was drawn when they found a jawbone...it turned out to be a modern ape. All evidence of Peking man disappeared. New Guinea Man actually still exists in a region just north of Australia. Nebraska man was "scientifically" built up from one tooth, later found to be the tooth of an extinct pig.

Also...why aren't there many complete skeletons in graveyards of these transitional species? It's hard to believe that you can seriously fathom that evolution even happened...let alone call it a law.

Before Darwin published the Origin of Species, many people already believed that the living species are related by common descent (most of whom were religious, incidentally), but they hadn't identified a convincing mechanism for it. Darwin was the first to put down on paper a comprehensive and objectively supported theory of how common descent occurred (descent with modification by means of natural selection), and ever since then it has been something that no knowledgeable person could deny, unless determined to disbelieve it.

It says in the Bible that God created man from dirt and recently scientists found a protein in humans that is only found in dirt and nowhere else in the world. Also, if humans evolved from other creatures, how come other creatures aren't turning into humans now? How come humans aren't turning into anything? How come other animals aren't turning into other animals? Evolution is nothing but a made up story. God created you. Accept it.

Where are all the transitional life forms. Shouldn't there be a pile of them around today?

I agree that microevolution is a proven fact; but macroevolution (the idea that a species evolves into another species) is a modern-day fairy tale.

It is really sad to have so many answers from people who are not only fanatics but also they haven’t got the slightest idea about Evolution! Evolution is a proven fact! There are more scientific evidence about Evolution and NONE about the Hebrew myth of creation!

Biological evolution, simply put, is descent with modification. This definition encompasses small-scale evolution (changes in gene frequency in a population from one generation to the next) and large-scale evolution (the descent of different species from a common ancestor over many generations).

Documentation of ancestor-descendant relationships among organisms also comes from the fields of biogeography, taxonomy, anatomy, embryology and, most recently, genetics — particularly DNA analysis.

The fossil record remains first and foremost among the databases that document changes in past life on Earth. Fossils provide the dimension of time to the study of life. Some of the most basic observations about fossils and the rock record were made long before Darwin formulated his theory of “descent with modification.” The fossil record clearly shows changes in life through almost any sequence of sedimentary rock layers. Successive rock layers contain different groups or assemblages of fossil species.

{We have now more than enough fossils to determine for sure that humans didn’t appear on this planet in the genetic form they are today!

WE HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH EVIDENCE THAT THERE WAS AT LEAST ANOTHER SPECIES WHICH LIVED WITH US!! And I am talking about Neanderthal man who was not our ancestor but a different Human than us!!! (Did God experiment with human species?) We even have proof that at a certain point in time 3 human species shared the planet! (Homo sapiens, Homo Erectus, Homo Neanderthals)}

Of course I want comment the stupid argument why all the apes didn’t evolve to humans. Ok I will comment!!

(We share a recent common ancestor with chimpanzees and gorillas; we have many anatomical, genetic, biochemical, and even behavioral similarities with these African great apes. We are less similar to the Asian apes--orangutans and gibbons--and even less similar to monkeys, because we share common ancestors with these groups in the more distant past.

! By the way why God decided to create 5 different species of primates and 280 different species of monkeys?)

As a conclusion Evolution is not a theory but a proven fact (In scientific terms, "theory" does not mean "guess" or "hunch" as it does in everyday usage. Scientific theories are explanations of natural phenomena built up logically from testable observations and hypotheses. Biological evolution is the best scientific explanation we have for the enormous range of observations about the living world.) Creation is a Hebrew Myth and unfortunately is not a fact but a myth!!!!

"I'm ahead, I'm a man

I'm the first mammal to wear pants, yeah

I'm at peace with my lust

I can kill 'cause in God I trust, yeah

It's evolution, baby

I'm at piece, I'm the man

Buying stocks on the day of the crash

On the loose, I'm a truck

All the rolling hills, I'll flatten 'em out, yeah

It's herd behavior, uh huh

It's evolution, baby

Admire me, admire my home

Admire my son, he's my clone

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

This land is mine, this land is free

I'll do what I want but irresponsibly

It's evolution, baby

I'm a thief, I'm a liar

There's my church, I sing in the choir:

Admire me, admire my home

Admire my son, admire my clones

'Cause we know, appetite for a nightly feast

Those ignorant Indians got nothin' on me

Nothin', why?

Because... it's evolution, baby!

I am ahead, I am advanced

I am the first mammal to make plans, yeah

I crawled the earth, but now I'm higher

2010, watch it go to fire

It's evolution, baby..."

Science unlike some other disciplines has no absolutes. While the preeminence of the theory is accepted it is still a theory!

Sorry, it's still a theory. This is true of all observed phenomenon, even our quantification of gravity.

What we call physical laws are still theories.
