Lots of people in this world (most in fact) will tell you that Jesus is not real, that He is not the Son of God; pay them no mind! The Bible says that Christians will endure persectution, and particularly from those closest to us.

Continue to pray and read God's word. He is absolutely real and He is absolutely with you. Continue to worship Him and forget about what your friends say.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Your peers don't act like they are your friends at all. A friend will not belittle you for your religion. They may not agree with you, but they are wrong to attack your faith.

Your defense can take many forms. You can tell them that even the calendars today are proof that Jesus is bigger than any of their heroes. Jesus divided history. We count the years from an approximate time after the birth of Jesus Christ. The years before him are counted in reverse and they carry the designation BC or BCE (that stands for Before Christ or Before Christian Era), so you can see what influence Jesus has had on humanity even from something as simple as a calendar. Just pray for them and get yourself some decent Christian friends.

Jesus loves you.

you should believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. yur friends do not have the keys to heaven and hell. JESUS is the DOOR to heaven, he is also the KEY that OPENS that door. the key is Everlasting Salvation. how do u receive the key, by freely accepting it thru FAITH in JESUS CHRIST. because JESUS "ALONE" CAN SAVE YOU, there are no other doors to heaven but Jesus. remember that u don't have to see him to know that he is real. Jesus is ALIVE and will be FOREVER! amen. FAITH is knowing w/out any doubt whether or not people try to argue w/ you over it. first, if u do believe, which i genuinely hope that u do, you need to make known to yur friends that no matter what they say, that yur are not going to argue w/ them over it, because u are anchored to the rock which is Christ and no body is going to move u from him.

if they are truly yur friends they won't bother u about it any more. do u have any christian friends who you like hanging out with that will help stay on the right path and that don't try to stray u away from the Lord. u need to pray to the Lord to help u in yur faith in him and those around u that need help too.

don't let what anyone says make u feel confused about believing in Jesus, i'm letting u know this because i let someone tell me that i was wrong about believing in the bible and that there was no a heaven or hell, and for just alittle bit i actually believed the lie, i fell for it, after alittle time passed by, something inside me never wanted to question God's word anymore even if there were things in it that i didn't fully understand at that time. so don't let others tell u that yur wrong, don't be ashamed to say to those around u that u believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and God our father, and that u Love them. when people notice u and friends see u, what do u want them to see, someone who's on fire for the Lord our God! when yur friends see that in u, instead of them wanting to argue w/ u about jesus, their going want to know why yur so joyful ( bearing the fruits of the holy spirit ) and how u got to be that way. when they ask u that, then u can lead them to the Lord thru the holy spirit that dwells within u.

you know when u need help w/ growing closer to the Lord, u can just email me. =0)

It seems that your friends are ashamed of Jesus, you've been called by the Holy Ghost and now apart of God's family, I tell ya, those aren't true friends if they try to take you away from the gospel, b/c Jesus is def. real whether anyone believes or not. Dont let your friends talk you out of your own salvation, you continue to do what you do, and pray for your "friends" that they be led by the Holy Spirit to Jesus! If they continue to doubt you about Jesus, then stay away from them, b/c they have nothing to offer you, only Jesus does! God Bless, and I pray you make the right decision!

I am sort of like you. I grew up being taught that jesus is the lord and savier and that God is the the creater of all. But as I get older I am unsure of what to believe. I just have no clue, I think we maybe do have spirits that carry on somewhere when we die but I am not sure if we go to heaven, and I think that there could be some truth to the bible but I think it may just be history, like your social studies books, I mean I don't know. I guess we will all find out one day huh!

You need to decide who you want to believe. The Bible at John 3:16-19, 36 says:: "“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. 18 He that exercises faith in him is not to be judged. He that does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. 19 Now this is the basis for judgment, that the light has come into the world but men have loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were wicked. 36 He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him..

That is self explanatory. You believe, you learn about God and His son Jesus, you take in accurate knowledge of God and Jesus you will have everlasting life on a paradise earth John 17:3.

Now which of your friends that tell you there is no Jesus is willing to give their life for you. Or even if they do can give you everlasting life in paradise, where there will be no sickness, death, mourning, or sorrow. Psalm 37: 9-11,29: " . For evildoers themselves will be cut off,

But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;

And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.

11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,

And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth,

And they will reside forever upon it. These are the promises of the Bible held out to those who believe not only in Jesus but also his Father Jehovah.

Why not study the Bible for yourself to see what is in store for the earth and mankind. Then you decide for yourself what is right for you, not what your friends think, but what you think. If you would like to learn about Jesus and Jehovah, talk to Jehovah's Witnesses or go to the nearest Kindgom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in your area.

Skylabarber, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except what they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Skylabarber, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, SKYLABARBER, there is a Jesus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Jesus. It would be as dreary as if there were no SKYLABARBERS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Jesus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the mangers on Christmas Eve to catch Jesus, but even if they did not see Jesus lying in one, what would that prove? Nobody sees Jesus, but that is no sign that there is no Jesus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, SKYLABARBER, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Jesus! Thank God. He lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Skylabarber, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

He is every bit as real as Santa Claus

Most people know or have heard of the Lord's prayer. In it Jesus instructs his followers to pray to his father, Jehovah. As to whether you should believe in Jesus or your friends well the real question is whether you are willing to study the Bible for yourself and come to your own conclusions as to what to believe. But by all means keep believing in Jesus, but learn to worship his father. Jesus has never solicited anyone's worship, but always directed worship to God, his father.

Jesus warns us of people like your Friends...Do not listen for your faith in God is being tested, stand strong, and free your mind of their conscience, they are people of conscience , read your Bible daily and ask for wisdom before you read to understand what it is you are reading. Jesus tells us in His wisdom we are in the days of conscience people. And that all who believe in Him and all that don't have a "LOT in Common" We all have to die some day' knowing this any one who dose not believe in God and that Jesus is the son of God are all FOOLISH and conscience People" ....Dose not matter what "everyone else THINKS" only what God thinks... Their is a God and we will all face Him the day we all die, Always trust Jesus before anyone or anything ... Gods grace is with us all Have a beautiful day... One thing I know for sure you sure are smarter then your Friends, may be you need to find new Friends , before you sacome to the way they are....

Believing and being Faithful should be your choice and your decision. Jesus was once real. But now you may feel that you are praying to something that is not real, but you have to remember how you feel. Do you feel him around you? I was onced troubled in believing and even now I don't go to church or pray. But I do feel that I have Faith in myself and others. I think that faith comes in believing in something, Jesus Christ, that is bigger than I am. Something that I can' touch, but still holds a lot of spiritual power and love.

You need to believe in Christ and not listen to what others are trying to trick you about. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Right now, satan is attempting to steal your trust and faith in Christ. Don't let him kill you spiritually and destroy your place in heaven. People are trying to bring you away from Christ. STAY AWAY! God loves you and wants you to be His.

Check this out too:

Only in Christianity do we have the extremely accurate transmission of the eyewitness documents (gospels) so we can trust what was originally written. Only in Christianity do we have the person of Christ who claimed to be God, performed many miracles to prove His claim of divinity, who died and rose from the dead, and who said that He alone was the way the truth and the life. All this adds to the legitimacy and credibility of Christianity above all other religions -- all based on the person of Jesus. If follows that if it is all true about what Jesus said and did, then all other religions are false because Jesus said that He alone was the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It could not be that Jesus is the only way and truth and other religions also be the truth.

time to start exploring. Start off with no beliefs, but just hypotheses.

collect evidence to support your various hypotheses and decide for yourself.

You may wish to start by studying the history of religion, specifically your religion and learn what is know and what is taken on faith. Why people have faith, what motivates them, etc.

good luck on your exploratory journey

I don't believe in any deity. I would just ask that you honestly look at what you say you believe and make sure you know the answers.

Thats why its called faith.

Religion doesnt make any sense to me as an atheist and I would agree with what your friends said i.e. like praying to a tree. But thats me.

But those who follow a religion have to have some degree of faith to address what they dont know about their god.

Like my dad cant explain to me some things about his religion but simply says that this is why its called faith. It isnt about proof or evidence for him, simply faith.

By believing in Jesus and being “saved” the Bible teaches that you will get one of the first seats in Heaven to watch how the vast majority of all the human beings perhaps into the TRILLIONS including your “unsaved” family members and old acquaintances will be especially tormented one by one in a sulfuric Hell fire lake or what have you for ever and ever. You will be encouraged to poke fun showing a wet big finger for them to lick hoping to quench their thirst because in Hell there is no fresh water and you can tease them all you want for ever and ever… That’s HEAVEN! No wonder Jesus said that you must hate your father and your mother and everybody else to follow him, especially if they are "unsaved" and go to HELL! You will hear a lot of “I told you so…” from Sweet Jesus! He thought of everything even some low IQ teasing games that WE CAN ALL PLAY with the damned!

Luke 16:23-25-NIV (Jesus is telling us…) AND BEING IN TORMENTS IN HELL, he* (*Not a gay person, but a capitalist pig!) lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; FOR I AM TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.’(and Jesus all excited and turned on like mad continues the story telling…) But Abraham said, ‘Son* (*truly a son all Jews come from Abraham including this rich man!), remember that in your lifetime you received your good things* (*in this story, to be rich is a sin unless you are a poor tithe paying follower of Jesus!), and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and YOU ARE TORMENTED!*

(*)Hey, these are the teasing words that sweet Jesus is dreaming up in anticipation of that day… he will certainly enjoy watching the Christians poking fun at all those in HELL FOR EVER AND EVER for rejecting him! It will be a long time before everybody in Heaven can possibly get bored… Only Jesus knows what other torments await the Christ rejecters in HELL…

Luke 19:27 (NIV) (Jesus is very excited telling this story!) But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them–bring them here and kill them in front of me.* (*Not even the Mafia measures up to Jesus!)

Revelation 14:10-11 "he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. HE WILL BE TORMENTED WITH BURNING SULFUR in the presence of the holy angels and of the LAMB* (*aka God the Son Jesus Christ, and the FEW Christians who found the narrow way and were not puked out of Jesus Holy Belly -John 17:24). And the smoke of their torment rises FOR EVER AND EVER. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

So if you got saved GOOD FOR YOU!!! Make sure that you pay your tithes and offering or God the Holy Ghost will zap you on the spot and you will be given a Christian burial without notifying anybody in your family, and go to HELL for blaspheming against God the Holy Ghost! (Acts 5:1-11)

Act 5:9-11 (NIV) Peter said to her, “How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord?* (*The Holy Comforter! by not paying the full tithe and offering!) Look! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband* (*done the Christian way without notifying anybody in your family!) GREAT FEAR SEIZED THE WHOLE CHURCH AND ALL WHO HEARD ABOUT THESE EVENTS.

Not paying the full tithe and offerings is a great unforgivable blasphemy against God the Holy Ghost and you will go to Hell for sure! REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RICH MAN IN HELL and he was only the first one on the poking fun line out of billions or trillions…!

On a second thought I give you my personal view on Heaven and Hell that some Bible writers share with me... Relax… there is no Heaven and Hell it is all a money making scheme banking on human religious gullibility! I echo the same opinion as some of the most honest writers of the Bible…

Ecclesiastes 3:19 * Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is vanity.

Job 7:9 * As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so he who goes down to the grave does not return.

This is how you get saved:

Romans 10

8But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,"[d] that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."[e] 12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."[f]

Jesus will exonerate you of all transgressions when he died on the Cross read this:

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

1 Thessalonians 5:9

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Those who oppose Jesus or do not believe in him read this:

1 John 2

22Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son. 23No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

1 Timothy 6

3If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

2 John 1:7

Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Jude 1:4

For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only sovereign and Lord.

Beware of False Prophets and Teachers Claiming to be Christ:

Matthew 24

3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,[a]' and will deceive many.

23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.

26"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

Many of Your friends and parents will hate you and persecute you for coming to Jesus but do not despair:

Luke 21

12"But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 13This will result in your being witnesses to them. 14But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. 15For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. 16You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17All men will hate you because of me. 18But not a hair of your head will perish. 19By standing firm you will gain life.

Luke 12

49"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is completed! 51Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

Matthew 24

9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

But read this for encouragement:

Matthew 5

11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

You want proof Jesus is the Christ eh? That is what the Pharisees and teachers of the law demanded proof but none were giving proof, for it is written:

Matthew 12

38Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you."

39He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Did you notice?

"A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Even if an atheist came back from the dead to warn his other atheist friends of hell the atheist friends whom are alive will not believe because they are stubborn and willfully ignorant. If they cannot believe in the scriptures how are they going to believe the warning from someone who came back from the dead? They aren’t going to believe, for it is written:

Luke 16

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23In hell,[c] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

Did you notice this verse?

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

Did you notice this verse?

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

Did you notice this verse?

30" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

Did you notice this verse?

31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

You need to put your FAITH IN JESUS THE CHRIST!!!
