Matthew 13:36-43

The Parable of the Weeds Explained

36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field."
37 He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
40 "As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Absolutely, still relevant. It is neither more nor less relevant today than when Jesus spoke the words. Christ used harvest and gathering/protection of flocks often in His teachings. The entire chapter 13 is essentially sowing and harvesting. It starts with the parable of the sower and ends with the parable of he net. The sowing is evangelism and the harvesting is the gathering of God's select into His kingdom and the winnowing of the chaff or bad fish from them. The good in all cases means those who have repented and believe in Jesus Christ as their savior. No individual denomination is referred to, only the church that is the body of believers in Christ whatever their meeting place is called.

The notes upload a large form of exciting factoids, yet they're basically useful for fleshing out a sermon. the right theory is that someone finding for something, unearths it, and promises up all that he already has so he could have it. Being a provider provider, he had equipped up relatively a enterprise and specific a inventory of pearls, yet this one replaced into well worth liquidating all his components so he ought to purchase it. The pearl is the dominion of God, no longer the church, because of the fact the remark rightly says. what's the dominion, however the rule of thumb and reign of God in our lives, and oneship with the physique of Christ for the period of the Holy Spirit? what's it that we each have saved up and could be keen to liquidate, as a manner to very own the dominion?

I believe this is very relevant and getting closer to happening. I am not sure if this is referring to the rapture when Christ will take his church up and the tribulation period starts or if this after Christs 1000 year reign. Either way if you are a born again Christian you won't have to worry... Your ticket to heaven was bought and paid for by Christ.

Well my pastor just gave a sermon on this, I believe it is referring to the good seeds as the seeds which do not sin or they have asked for forgiveness. The bad ones refer to the sinners which have not asked for forgiveness. Especially at the end "He who has ears, let him hear." I believe this is saying that if you ask for forgiveness God will listen.

Hope this helps,

"god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand." unquote.

Which bits does God explain that we do not understand? Can you clarify?

Mind control cult rhetoric.

More boogeyman stories to scare the ignorant masses into obedience.

You do realize, don’t you, that the christian cult guide book is nothing more than fairy tales and boogeyman stories written by men in order to keep the uneducated masses amused, in line, and obeying commands to further the authors’ own socio-economic agenda?
