changed? not many, it just started way thicker, with more content, and every time we get smarter and realize something in its f. ucking retarded and wrong, they take it out or modify it to make it seem like its right in their religion

The original text has not been changed . . .

There have been a *few* instances where a word was changed from it's true translation, to a word with a similar meaning, which meaning became twisted in the teachings of several religions, to mean something else (i.e., 'hell') . . .

There have been a *few* verses added, in an effort to make it appear that God's Word supports certain pagan teaching/s. This was done in the effort to gain easier & more converts from the pagan 'ranks . . .

The Apocrapha --a collection of spurious writings-- are accepted as Scripture by certain religious groups . . .

So, at times, 1 or more words have been spuriously inserted, or, even entire books, BUT, never has the origional text been changed. Translated, Yes. Changed, No. And, regarding the spurious words, passages, & books---in many of the most current translations, such have been removed. The NWT, for instance, while not using any o f the spurious passages that were inserted in certain Bibles, show where they would be, for ease of reference when studying the Bible with those who use that Bible. The NWT also shows the word or passage, as a footnote, & that they aren't in the oldest available manuscripts.

The major changing & twisting of Scripture has not occuredin book form. Rather, it has mostly been accomplished through twisting the meaning of God's Word, by teaching that what it says actually means something else. This has been done to gain a folowing for themselves, instead of for mankind's Creator. Which very often includes the hope of financial gain, which is just one more thing that goes against what the Bible really teaches:

How does the Bible itself indicate that true religion should be financed?

"Let each one do just as he has resolved in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." --2Corinthians 9:6

Through many centuries, carefully trained Scribes have hand-made copies of God's Word. You may want to read about this profession, & the men involved in it. It is described very well in:

"Ancient Scribes and the Word of God"

- The Early Scribal Profession

- Scribes in Ancient Israel

> Integrity of the Scriptures <

http://watchtower.org/e/20070315a/

This was necessitated because the materials that Scripture was originally written on, eventually fell apart & disintegrated. Wear, & tear, & weather---all played a part in this happening. The materials as well as the methods used to make new copies of the original text, were improved over the years. This process is explained in:

"From Scroll to Codex---How the Bible Became a Book

- Wood, Wax, and Parchment

- Scroll or Codex?"

The Dead Sea Scrolls had already been translated once and into a language that is does not have a satisfactory translation record into other languages. So Mary was a young person, not a virgin. The language in the Dead Sea Scrolls did not have a work for virgin that was similar to young person at all - but the language the Dead Sea Scrolls translation was translated into did, do the more spectacular interpretation was used. The Bible has been edited with each translation, each version, the Old Testament was changed a lot from the Jewish texts, Papal conferences changed the Bible and its interpretation - it has been played with by everyone who touched the texts, which were already a collection of aural histories and even the first four bookf of the New Testament was taken down 45 years after Christ's death. So if a "Friend of a Friend" reference is cause to think something might be an urban myth, certainly playing and toying with the translation of a translated transcript of a verbal history..is good cause for some serious doubts.

I don't think anyone could really answer that, but it must be at least in the hundreds. It was changed due to translations, It was changed to fit someone's personal interpretation of what they think it should say - in the name of "easier" or more "contemporary" to read. It was changed with the Nicene council when it was re-determined which books would be part of the Bible. There are books referred to in the Bible that are not part of the Bible.

Who knows, but what we do know is that it HAS BEEN CHANGED. Does this make it worthless?? Absolutely not. We are taught by the spirit, so regardless of how messed up the Bible could become, the Holy Ghost will help us understand the meaning - but this help is personal. It's not for someone else to translate that Bible for me.

First, don't confuse translations with version/changes.

Second, it really has not been verifiably changed, except for the Gospels which may have been written from preceding manuscript.

It does not matter though, while we can admire the quality control of the Jewish people, it does not indicate any sort of divine intervention or even blessing. Simply if a god was to keep his word unchanged, that same god would not have allowed any errors no matter how small or insignificant. The value of pi being 3 in the Bible shows that this is not the case and that heroic, obsessive quality control is the only reason of consistency.

About a Dozen revisions, King James is the most unbiased in the lot, and closest to the original copied manuscripts, because of so many Bible scholars involved, literally all of them were involved in their day and objective and double checked by others, the Catholic Bibles were tampered with, in regards to Mary's after Jesus virginity, and Mary as a deity in her own right, the same as the Jehovah Witnesses give Christ a sub category of the Heavenly Father and oppose completely in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as equal. KJB and a Strong's Concordance will make you Biblically strong, in interpretation and deeper understanding beyond other's english interpretations of a lifetime.

Before the printing press the only way to publish a Bible was through writing so I'm sure it has changed a little since how it was originally. Like for example it says the Jesus drank "wine", wine was never fermented back in the day it was just grape juice. I'm sure that would of changed. There are the Cowboy Bible, Womens Bible, Children's Bible, Teens Bible, the first English Bible was King James Version, that the most accurate English version, that is the one I use.

the bible has not been changed; it has been translated from original languages into many new ones.

for sue, please read:

from original greek hebrew & aramaic, it went into coptic and latin and a lot of other ancient languages.

from old latin, to middle latin to vulgate latin, then to old englsh in the 1300's . then, middle english what is called olde english, the shakespearean king james.

then, when the new mss were found all over the world, more corrections were made to bring the current translations closer to the original writings.

that is why the kjv is not so great any more. a lot of errors. not BIG ones, but errors nonetheless. and, of course, superstition.

the priests were afraid to use gods name; some wanted to keep a resurrection teaching out of the bible. but those things were errors to misread, not really change it. iow, ignorance.

but, back to the original question, a version is done due to the linguistic differences and such. some terms just do NOT exist in other languages.

If you're talking about the old testament, the story's began in ancient mesopotamia about Pagan gods. The story's then made their way to egypt who replaced the deities with their own. Then it became the Torah and finally the old testament.

It was re-written again by the Pagan author known as St Jerome. It was his task to make the Old Testament and the New Testament appear to be talking about the same Deity.

Sir Frances Bacon re-wrote it again at the request of King James.

There are different schisms who take out and add to it at their whim such as the international version the Jehovah's WItnesses use.

The Bible was translated into the king james version, and then our language evolved so a lot of people couldn't understand it. So they modernized the english. I believe the first "modern" english translation was the NIV. I couldn't tell you why there's all the other modern english translations. There are a few that are "condensed" versions so that people can travel with them or just carry them around easier. But I think that is a stupid reason to change the what the Bible says - which God said not to do. I suppose some people felt they could translate the original hebrew/greek and other langues in the original texts better than the KJV or NIV.

Once. Martin Luther decided to throw out 10 books that didn't support his new doctrinal ideas. His followers prevented him from trashing the 3 New Testament books He intended to get rid of but he still succeeded in trashing 7 books of God's Holy Word that every Christian on earth had used for the previous 1,200 years. Other than that one major attack on God's Word, not a word of the Bible has been changed, and that change applies only to the protestant Bible, not to the original Bible. The true and original Bible has been protected from any change whatsoever by the Catholic Church, whose bishops originally compiled it.

The KJV Bible was written so we can understand what it said from it's original Hebrew language. Ever since then, there has been countless versions that all claim to be easier to understand, but in actuality, they are continuously being re written and re written because every new version gets a new patten on it for profit of monies when they are sold.

It's all about money. Every time they change the words it becomes more the word of man and less and less the Word of God.It continually gets diluted.

Not sure, but councils have been appointed to change things around and omit things. Theres a reason why some versions are longer than others. It has been altered, many, many times. Maybe this has something to do with Christians not being able to agree on their beliefs?

its been translated but not changed. back in bible times if they wrote a bible hand written if 1 mistake was made they had to remake it. the bible is the most true book in the world. it was specificly done. its so true that there is more proof that jesus was born to a virgin, lived, did all those miracles, and died and rose again than there is that julias ceasar ever exsisted.

For the purpose of deliberately perpetuating lies and distortions so that people are controlled by 'beliefs' and 'faiths' that keeps them from KNOWING there is a Most High Lord God of ALL Creation and doing that which he says - HOLY LAW!

It has never been changed. "Versions' merely refer to "translations" and the Bible has been translated to modern language to meet the changing times.

the ORIGINAL Taurat & Injil (Gospel) from our 1Creator, have been edited.

the result error.

i am detailing from the bible.

example according to Gen. 16:16 Abraham alayhi salaam (peace be upon him) was 86 years old when Ishmael was born. And according to Gen. 21:5 Abraham was one hundred years old when Isaac alayhi salaam was born.

It follows that Ishmael was already fourteen years old when his younger brother Isaac was born. According to Gen. 21:8-19 the incident took place after Isaac was weaned. Biblical scholars tell us the child was probably weaned at about the age of three.

Thus, it follows that when Hajira and Ishmael alayhi salaam were taken away Ishmael was a full-grown teenager, seventeen years old. However, the profile of Ishmael in Gen 21:14-19 is a small baby and not a full-grown teenager. Why?

TRUTH is Ismael alayhi salaam left with his mom Hajira when he was a baby. that part of Ismael alayhi salaam "mocking" his brother Is'haq`alayhi salaam was created by evil-doers/jews to favour their nation.

in "attempting" to create false info they made errors. if he was 17 according to bible, how could he cry & his mother place him under a bush? evil-doers/jews called him a "wicked man". one whos named "God hears"? sinful is what they feed their bellies.

bible states verse: Genesis 41:17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream.....

the old egyptian kingdom which nabi Yusuf (Joseph) alayhi salaam lived, was during the middle kingdom.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_(Heb...

The Middle Kingdom is the period from the establishment of the 11th Dynasty to the end of the 14th Dynasty, roughly between 2040 BC and 1640 BC.

"pharaoh" was originally name of the palace DURING THE MIDDLE KINGDOM, later adopted as king's name during the 18th DYNASTY.

what is pharaoh mean?

the Qur'an from our 1All-Wise Creator states: Yusuf (12), 43 Waqala almaliku. (The king (of Egypt) said: "I do see (in a vision) ).

Malik in arabic means king/ruler. Quran revealed by Allah to his messenger nabi Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa salaam used the term properly to that dynasty, when ppl (bible believing & others) thought the middle kingdom's rulers were called "pharaoh"

We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, confirming that which was (revealed) before him in the Torah & We bestowed on him the Gospel wherein is guidance & a light, confirming that which was (revealed) before it in the Torah - a guidance & an admonition unto those who ward off (evil). (46) Let the People of the Gospel judge by that which Allah hath revealed: such are evil-livers. (47)

pharoah was used properly for nabi Musa's (Moses) time.

"In the Exodus account, the birth of Moses (dated by the Talmud to 7 Adar 2368, or 1393 BCE)"

during the 18th dynasty when the name pharaoh was adopted/replaced for the name of the king's.

Surah Al Araaf: 103

Then, after them, We sent Moses with our tokens unto Pharaoh & his chiefs, but they repelled them. Now, see the nature of the consequence for the corrupter! (103)

in the Quran, the name "firAAawna" (pharaoh) was used by Allah, our 1All-Wise Creator to his messenger sallallahu alayhi wa salaam.

nabi Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa salaam, stated accurate claims from our 1Lord, which is the Qur'an.

he recited to his nation & all of future generations of mankind the Qur'an. he warned ppl as a messenger, if they arent obedient, greatful, humble to their 1Lord, they are headed to a painful doom for disbelieving & doing evil.

he was illiterate, a merchant, no expertise, knowledge, research (scientific) of ancient egypt.

We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. (47) Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. (48)

(Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? (49) He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. (50)

how cant the Quran be man made? can man state accuracy on his own?

"And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it."

(The Qur'an, 51:47)

The Universe Is Expanding (1924 – 1929)

Edwin Hubble determines the distance to many nearby galaxies and discovers that the farther they are from us, the faster they are flying away from us. His calculations prove that the universe is expanding.

Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke, and said unto it and unto the earth: Come both of you, willingly or loth. They said: We come, obedient. (11)
