well its like the satan worshiper,s they would rather worship evil than worship a true GOD that is good, and like voodoo people like to worship the black magic, these people do not beleive in GOD that,s why they worship evil couse they would rather be in evil and hate than be in good like GOD and JESUS is.

i am hearing about there is no GOD, then how come people worship the evil,s, GOD is real just like satan is. me i am gone always worship my LORD every day and night

God designed us with a need to worshop something. If we cannot trust Him, we find something else...money, cars, sex, or even idols and other ficticious Gods. We have a built in desire for worship of someone or something. Thats the way God made us. None of these things will ever make us satisfied though. No matter how much money, sex, cars, or any other form of idolitry we worship, we will still not be satisfied. This is only instant gratification. Nothing can fill the God shaped vacuum in our soul but God. No matter what you obtain or worship, if it's not God, it still feels empty and meaningless at the end of the day.

Well here's what i think..!!!,

The reason people worship other things rather than GOD is probably because the world today is ``see to believe`` so until GOD is seen or till he does something there will always be non-believers...How can anyone believe anything about the bible without any proof and science and research is proving that there are anamolies in the book itself....how about the molesting priests? they say they joined the church cause GOD wanted them...baloney just a bunch of gay guys hiding from what they really are, so if you believe in GOD that's all you need, so till then take care and even i would like a sign from GOD and don't tell me GOD is everywhere those are children's stories.......bless you all and may you live long and prosper.....

Sometimes people do not realize that they are worshiping others things. I have be guilty of this. When I realize what I was doing I ask god for forgiveness. If you value money, husband, wife, friend, career/job, children, parents, or even television more than you value God then you putting things before God. Matthew 6:21 says, For where your treasure is there will your heart be also.

It's all about being human and being faulty.

You know the phrase, the road to hell is paved with the best intentions? Therein lies your answer.

First and formost even some of the most devout Christians worship money. Some Evangelical Baptist leaders preach that one only knows one is "saved" when one is financially secure.

That's exactly opposite to what Jesus tells us.

It can begin very innocently, then get corrupted. Good Christian parents want to raise a good Christian family. They start out just making ends meet. Suddenly one of them lands a job making serious coin. Before they know it they're all about the money and have forgotten their sound moral standards.

Some of the biggest Christian leaders of this day are all about the money. You've got people like that leading massive numbers of Christians.

Or someone in desperate need spends many hours praying for the intercession of a particular saint. When their prayers are answered they cross a line into idolatry. Put a big statue in their home and think the statue protects them. When that saint, statue or no, is looking after them.

We all have to be wary.

"All who acknowledge and worship any other God than the Lord the Savior, Jesus Christ, who is Jehovah God Himself in human form, sin against this first commandment. Those also sin against it who persuade themselves of the actual existence of three Divine persons from eternity. For as they confirm themselves in that error, they become more and more natural and corporeal, and at length are unable to comprehend interiorly any Divine truth; and if they listen to it and accept it, they still defile it and cover it up with fallacies. They may therefore be compared to those who dwell in the lowest story or the cellar of a house, and in consequence hear nothing of the conversation of those who are in the second and third stories, because the floor above their heads keeps the sound from penetrating to them. [2] The human mind is like a house of three stories, in the lowest of which are those who have confirmed themselves in favor of three Gods from eternity, while in the second and third stories are those who acknowledge and believe in one God under a visible human form, and that the Lord God the Savior is He" (True Christian Religion n. 296).

Do you mean like people who work seven days a week for the almighty dollar? Or people who ignore their children so that they can worship themselves in our "me, me, it's all about ME" era? Or people who max out their credit cards to have cars, boats, and houses that they can't afford?

I think that EVERYONE should really look at what it is that they worship. People these days bow down and serve themselves!!!

your question is very vague, Why do you worship Jesus ?? the same thing applies to all worship,we always worship and serve the one God of us all, though we my do it through any and all of his manifested parts.calling God many, many names, if you worship jesus or anyone or anything else without the full awareness you are worshipping GOD,you are performing idolitry.

God has put it in all of us the need to worship. So sometimes people pick the wrong god... maybe sports or alcohol instead.

A lot of people just don't believe in God--I think that is why. They don't believe because they can't see Him, and they feel that He has never revealed Himself to them.

Because they value things more than they value God just because they can't see him....I would never put anything before my God!

yes I wonder why some people worship Jesus(a prophet=a man=a human=a creature of God) instead of God?even Muslems don't worship prophet Mohammad! they worship God.

maybe because they don't believe in god? Although frankly it doesn't make much sense to worship anything

Hi - I'm not saying that they are right but I would suspect that "God" doesn't do it for them so they are looking else where.

You have not defined what the 'things' are, that would halve the answer I am about to give, in fact make that thirds.....

You put a our Universal Creator 'God' and versus 'Him' to 'things'. Something Spiritual versus something Material....hmmm, this needs definition So the question would be one may worship a piece of silver, or a photo, or a crystal or then maybe a Statue, Monument, Rememberance Plaque, Church, Building.

Where I stand people do not worship 'things' they may have a great respect for them, God gave it to them, of course everything we have we should be very grateful and thankful for....we just have an emotional/material attachment to something, some more powerfully so than others, however, it is emotional attachment.

This can include people like Cult Leaders, Ministers, Priests, Fathers, Mothers anyone one really who is alive. Utimately this leads to painful revelations, but they are ones that ultimately guide us to our soul self, just because it may take one 5 minutes and one other 5 years, or still taking......lol.... does not mean people may worship a 'thing' to be 'A God' but that which is likened to 'their' God or helps them to connect to this Powerful Source of Energy, Gods Loving Embrace.

You either believe in God or you dont. Those that 'dont' still believe in their own spirit...they just choose to stay unaware of this, because they come from reading the Bible to the point of seeing God from that perspective of whomever is doing the preaching, messages can be perceived in the wrong light. This has led to much confusion and argument even between Christians themselves. People serve Wars as God Loving Christians...some worship the wars they fight as seeking the peace they so desperately seek..that is not serving Gods word of love. Nor does it support those Commandments. Those commandments are interesting in that I actually believe in them, I am not Christian, I am spiritualist, no denomination required.

However, their own spirit is connected to Whole Source too, other wise.....I say this alot...dust to dust...cant put a leaf back on a tree, but we can fix a limb. And a branch off a Tree is no different to our limbs.

Once life force is gone from us (death), we are back in the oneness of whatever we believed 'heaven to be' at the point of initiating ourselves into the after life realm, and there are many. That begs a question doesnt it...but this is 'answer' time for me lol. So we rejoin our 'God' to continue serving God through our Soul Spirit ....if 'we' so choose, we have freewill. Even more so in death.

If you are talking a statue or a wall or a monument or a church, it is not the material item they are worshipping but the symbolisim, what is actually represents to oneself within their soul self. They connect to God within on this level, and that is their divine truth.

For the most of us we have a religion, and seek that religion which is outside of ourselves to find the God within us all. We find our Lord Jesus whom says...follow me and I will show you the way.....then as a Healer/Carpenter he turns to us and says you too can do I have done.

My husband and I do....I am a Light Worker whom heals with Reiki, hands on healing, beautiful energy to heal oneself with. My husband is a builder, once houses, now Industrial. So see, you too, can do as he said you can do.

I work with Crystals. They emit healing energy. Like uranium, its a mineral that emits energy, in fact uranium blows countries right up and outa there. So when I use crystals, my intent is to heal of course not search and destroy...so I know I wont be blowing my clients up with healing energy. However, they may certainly get a powerful dose lol. An uranium has a positive use if in the right hands. Hmmmmm.......

I have been judged by many to worship the 'tools' I use. Without them I may not conduct my lifes work for helping others.

And the whole thing is, we all believe in a powerful loving source that is greater than ourselves, whether we call it God or not.

Perception of things vs God is personal to the perceiver. The worshipper has a lot more inside of them that they do no need to share with all...Gods relationship with each of us is personal and not for the Readers Digest unless in a structured judgementmal religious environment if that is what suits people. Then that is their truth....not mine.

My God is your Religious God that your are all God Fearing. I am God loving...and do not fear him, for I am part of the great Divine and so are you...thats my perception, my truth and I am only coming from ego to justify myself any more than this. I walk my path, live it. I do not see people whom proclaim to be Christian to do the same.

There are some beautiful people out there christian or not...they are beautiful and it is about time we stopped worrying what other people believe in, and just share beliefs and philosophies, no one is right no one is wrong, it is just what it is....we are one here on earth spiritually....our emotional/material self is the non accepting factor.

No one is bowing down and serving any one but the God they believe in and how he is presented to one is very very personal and not something anyone else has a right to even ask about. It is how it is. No one can really define the Whole Source. It is our home, and Jesus and Buddha and Shiva and the Ascended Masters are all there to help us on our path way to our whole source, we came from somewhere...we return there...and that process is up for debate!

No - I can not see people putting 'things' above themselves as they themselves are their own connection to the divine even if they left the phone off the 'inner' hook with a dead dial tone. ......it would be suicide if one did otherwise, either way. Its physical suicide if one is worshiping a crystal and dies in the name of it, cant see that happening somehow, unless you make uranium bombs. ;)

Its spiritual suicide if we have no belief in our god selves. We need to hang the phone back up...and re-dial....dont' be suprised when someone answers your calling.......it just may be 'God' or one of his 'messengers'.

Better the things proven to exist than the things that do not exist.

Gods in that latter category.
