Question:
Dear Muslims I need clarification. Is this not wrong in Quran?

Quran 31: 29 Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and He merges Day into Night; That He has subjected the sun and moon (to His law), each running its course for a term (time) appointed.
Quran 21:33 It is He who created The Night and Day, And the Sun and Moon; each of them Swim (float) along in its own course.

Muslims may give false credit to Allah by saying: look Quran told about sun’s movement 1400 years ago which modern science only found out now. Sun takes 225 millions of years to make just one complete circle through the solar Universe. Obviously this movement of sun has nothing to do with DAY & NIGHT of the earth. Every time Allah mentioned Sun & Moon, He mentioned day & night, as if it is due to sun’s movement day and night follows.
If sun’s movement is not related to the day and night, why Allah has to mention about the Sun’s 225 millions year journey (which is even unimaginable to mankind) to tell about day and night? What relation Sun’s movement having with the day and night?
Muhammad clearly thought, because of the swim (movement) of the Sun and Moon the day and nights are occurring.

I have few more doubts that need clarification.

Nowhere does the verse say "the movement of the Sun and moon causes the night and day". This is simply your dumb opinion.

The emergence of Day and Night is different from the sun running its course, the message in the verse 31:29 :

"See you not (O Muhammed (peace be upon him)) that Allah merges the night into the day, (i.e. the decrease in the hourse of the night are added in the hours of the day), and merges the day into the night (i.e. the decrease in the hours of day are added in the hourse of night), and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running its course for a term appointed, and that Allah is All-Aware of what you do."

Apart from the above quoted verse, in several places it has been revealed by Allah through Al-Qur'an :

"It is going towards a point in the Universe" - which the scientists call as the ‘Solar Apex’. And it's moving at a speed of 12 miles per second, and it is going to a point - which they call as ‘a point in the constellation of Hercules’. This same message is repeated in Surah Rad, Ch. No. 13, Verse No. 2; in Surah Fatir, Ch. No. 35, Verse No. 13; in Surah Luqman, Ch. No. 31, Verse No. 29; as well as in Surah Al-Zumar, Ch. No. 39, Verse No. 5. It says that… ‘The Sun and the Moon runs its course for a period determined’.

Sun is rotating about its own axis. And today we have come to know with the help of an equipment, we can have the image of the Sun on the table top, and we see there are black spots - and it takes approximately 25 days for these black spots to complete one rotation - indicating that the Sun takes approximately 25 days to complete one rotation. Can you imagine the Qur'an speaks about the rotation and the revolution of the Sun 1400 years ago, which science has discovered today.

Nowhere it has been mentioned that the rotation of sun and/or moon is the cause of day and night in the world.

Hope now it is clear, and I welcome more questions from you.

Prophet Muhammed's(peace be on him) mission was to unite the savage, warring and pagan tribes into a civilised community and to achieve this aim he brought about the religion of Islam with its tenets and principles. As long as the religion achieves that and teaches people the right values and principles in life, what;s the point in splitting hairs about what was believed about the movement of the sun in those days. If the followers of Islam and/or those who oppose it wish to take each verse and analyse it literally without understanding the rich symbolism used in it and the message it seeks to convey can the Quran or The Prophet(Blessed be his name) be blamed for it?

Secondly if The Prophet said to the illiterate and pagan community that it is the Earth which goes around the Sun he would have been most probably written off as a madman.

And thirdly even modern science is not fully clear about the nature of the universe. It is possible that 1500 years hence when science has progressed far enough people of that era would scoff at what we hold to be the 'Scientific Truth' today.

The miracle of man's creation is emphasised in many verses. Some of the information within these verses is so detailed that it was impossible for anyone living in the 7th century to have known it. Examples of these are as follows: 1. Man is not created from the entire semen, but only a very small portion of it (sperm). 2. It is the male that determines the sex of the baby. 3. The human embryo adheres to the mother's uterus like a leech. 4. The embryo develops in three dark regions in the uterus. The items of information just quoted were far above the level of learning of the people living at that time. The discovery of these facts could only become possible by the technology attained in the 20th century. Now, let us examine these items one at a time. This site rocks. Allah knows best!

Clarification......????

Read what God says in Qur'an 31;29, '' Hast thou not seen Allah casueth the night to pass into the day and causeth the day to pass into the night, and hath subdused the sun and the moon[ to do their work].Each running unto an appointed term; and that Allah is Informed of what ye do? [THIS IS RIGHT VERSE FROM QUR'AN]

God says in 21;32; And We have made the sky a roof withheld[from them],Yet they turn away from its portents,

Next is 21;33' And He it is Who created the night and the day,and the sun and the moon,They flot, each in an orbit,

And what is the wrong,

Read Qur'an step by step, then you can understand, other wise satan temps you.

I see you have a problem understanding English.

Do you not see that Allah causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term, and that Allah , with whatever you do, is Acquainted?

And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.

Where does it say that night and day is being caused by the movement of the sun?

I dnt know from where u got all this. but u shd knw that recent findings suggest that SUN also rotate somewhat. and Oops u also dnt knw that when the sun's light touches the moon it creates reflection causing moon to glow. so both are related.

The translation or interpretation may be different from the original verse. Get its original language and ask the language speaker for a translation of the verse. ( For all your doubts in Quran)

Quran can never be wrong, but we the mankind may not be able to understand, in such cases Muslims refer to the Hadis by Prophet (Pbuh) and His Household (Ahlu Baith) (AS) explained in detail.

NO BODY HAS NOR CAN PROVE QURAN WRONG.

My friend, you are not in need of clarification. It is right there in front of you. The Quran is filled and laden with discrepancies.

The contradictions in there are beyond belief.

"Love all, for all were created by Allah, most merciful, most powerful"

"Slay them wherever ye find them, for they are the offspring of ape and swine"

I thought he just said no to kill people?

Yeah....the Quran had no idea how it worked. It says the Sun sets in a "muddy spring" in another verse.
