Question:
Who would Jesus feel more at home with: Evangelicals or Mormons?

It seems to me that the Mormons I've come across are far more Christ-like than the Evangelical fundamentalists who are taking over the country with their gay-bashing, Muslim-bashing, science-bashing, education-bashing, etc...

But I could be wrong - please support your argument?

Neither!

Christian Fundamentalist is a complete contradiction in terms!

CHRISTIAN – A follower or believer in Jesus.

FUNDAMENTALIST One who believes the Bible is literally true and must be followed exactly.

Therefore they are followers of the bible and not Jesus making them non Christians!

But worse is to follow it also makes them ideologists.

IDEOLOGY An idea that is false or held for the wrong reasons but is believed with such conviction as to be irrefutable.

So Christians have a loving and forgiving god and fundamentalist - well - Just are not Christians!

But how can anyone consider mormons Christian?!

Do Christians have to wear silly underwear to go to church?

Do Christians have to avoid various foods and drinks?

Do Christians have to prove they are fervent believers before they are allowed into church?

Do Christians have to ban anyone from entering church that is not totally committed?

Do Christians act as if their religion is some sort of secret society by banning non members from their churches?

Do Christians believe they will become gods?

Compare the bible and Christian beliefs with the Mormon book and beliefs and it is as plain as day that Mormons only claim to be Christian because they are afraid to stand up as an entirely separate religion!

Seen the advertisements with people doing everyday things with the line “and they are Mormon”? Seems the Mormon hierarchy recognize that they are seen not just as an extremist cult but also different to other people!

Whoever it is that keep the commandments of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ said, if you love me, keep my commandments.

Those who do not keep the commandments of Jesus Christ, they can be prodigal sons, and they can come home, and when they do, then their Father will slay the fatted calf, and will make merry...

because a son that was dead will be returned to life, and a son that was lost will have been recovered.

The real question is, who would you feel most comfortable around??? Would you feel comfortable being around Jesus if you remained a disobedient child, or would you feel better being around Jesus Christ if you kept Jesus Christ's holy and righteous commandments???

I think it is safe to say, that the more you keep the commandments of Jesus Christ, the more comfortable you would be if you were around Jesus Christ.

And if you kept the commandments of Jesus Christ perfectly, then you would be perfectly comfortable being around Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ would be perfectly comfortable being around you.

Jesus spent his time preaching to the sinners. I am going to mess up the quote but "the well need not the physician but the sick". Jesus was at home with all types of people. Even if they didn't follow his teachings.

I would definitely say Mormons. They're way more easy going and non-accusatory and judgmental (which Christ said not to be). Obviously there are exceptions... but in general.

Acting all holy doesn't get any favours with God

when one is following the "doctrines of devils"...

Mormons rejected Jesus' teachings and embraced

the fabrications of a 19th century deluded conman ~

He went to great lengths to teach His apostles who

issued firm warnings about accepting false doctrines,

so I'll leave that for you to figure out, who Jesus would

feel more at home with.

He felt at home among ALL, but He came for the *sinner*, so I guess if you think He would feel more at ease or at home with the mormons, then you are probably right.... Don't mean to sound ugly or mean, but..... You did ask.....

But, then again, like I have always said, we are ALL sinners..... soooooo
