Shall not I compare?

Whenever I am about to compare these two and tell both are equally good , the Christians , particularly the Indian Christians attack me for comparing Jesus with our Hindu Gods . On the other hand my Hindu Brahmins Pundits are very much worried about a non-Brahmin person handling the Gita verses . I am Sanskrit illiterate like 99% Hindus . For decades I am denied even to hear the Vedic words , because Veda says that putting the Vedic words into my ears is a great sin by Brahmins . But I can not control my interest over Gita and I can not wait till I take birth in the esteemed caste either. So , I read only the translated verses .
Being a non-Christian and a non-Brahmin I am unable to discuss Gita and Bible truths.
Christians , the esteemed religionists are here . Brahmins the esteemed caste's are also here . Please discuss (decently, I hope )and enlighten me whether both are truths or what else . I am neutral. I love both Jesus and Krishna that no one can change .
Others pl , tell me how to wipe out the religion arrogance and caste arrogance .

The light and power that shone through the teachings of Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Christ, Muhammad, and Baha'u'llah is the same light in different lamps. The light that shone from each of these universal divine educators is part of one eternal process of increasing the consciousness of humanity and carrying forward an ever advancing civilization. They are one in purpose and function. They come from the same source. That they appear to differ is due to the time, place, culture and people into which their revelation was born. The impact of their teachings however changed the entire planet.

To love one is to love them all. To deny one is to deny them all.

To wipe out arrogance, teach those with receptive hearts and minds the oneness of God, religion, and humanity. Otherwise, just leave them be.

The Hindu scriptures define the castes as parts of the Parmatma's body. That does not mean that some are lower to the other. It just means that they must work together for the sustenance of all and function like one body. Some selfish people started thinking they were higher to the other castes by virtue of birth but the scriptres have always stressed on the importance of Karma not Janma. A true believer in Krishna and his message is above a Brahmin by birth who does not believe in Krishna. Bhagavada Gita is the sum and essence of Sanatan Dharma.

You can respect Jesus but the theology promoted by the Churches is against Dharma.

Dude in India this is a great problem and all Hindus and a few christians face this problem. The fact after a great research is that - Hinduism was the first and foremost religion born on earth. this was born along with human beings and no one on earth knows the exact time by when Hinduism was created. We do know when christianity and Islam was created. The fact is also that all these religions born later were inspired by the epics in Hinduism and were copied in some form or the other to their religion. The basic truth is that Krishna is an epic created 1000s of years before Christ was even born. And no where in Krishna's epic you hear about any other religion in existence. But christians will not accept it. But the fact remains that Hinduism is the father of all the religions that were created on earth (though it has lot of setbacks)

Hare Krishna Dasar

I'm happy to hear that you feel like this. You are not alone. It sounds to me that you are in the South where Christians and Brahmins are prominent.

The Brahmins may have humbled you and in general they are respectable.

But some of their ideas are a bit fanatical.

Gaudiya Vaisanvas have proved through scripture that Krishna is indeed for all and that a true Vaisnava is superior to a caste Brahmana.

There are many scriptual examples. Here are some:

Srimad Bhagavatam 3-33-7 says:

aho bata sva-paco ’to gariyän

yaj-jihvägre vartate näma tubhyam

tepus tapas te juhuvuh sasnur äryä

brahmänücur näma grnanti ye te

Oh, how glorious are they whose tongues are chanting Your holy name! Even if born in the families of dog-eaters, such persons are worshipable. Persons who chant the holy name of Your Lordship must have executed all kinds of austerities and fire sacrifices and achieved all the good manners of the Äryans. To be chanting the holy name of Your Lordship, they must have bathed at holy places of pilgrimage, studied the Vedas and fulfilled everything required.

In Srimad Bhagavatam 7th Canto Prahlad Maharaja has said:

If a brähmana has all twelve of the brahminical qualifications [as they are stated in the book called Sanat-sujäta] but is not a devotee and is averse to the lotus feet of the Lord, he is certainly lower than a devotee who is a dog-eater but who has dedicated everything—mind, words, activities, wealth and life—to the Supreme Lord. Such a devotee is better than such a brähmana because the devotee can purify his whole family, whereas the so-called brähmana in a position of false prestige cannot purify even himself.

It is said in the Hari-bhakti—sudhodaya:

bhagavad-bhakti-hinasya

jätih sästram japas tapah

apränasyaiva dehasya

mandanam loka-raïjanam

“If one is born in a high family like that of a brähmana, ksatriya or vaisya but is not a devotee of the Lord, all his good qualifications as a brähmana, ksatriya or vaisya are null and void. Indeed, they are considered decorations of a dead body.”

I think you need to really pray to meet Christians or Brahmins who are not of that mood as the ones you are meeting. They DO exist.

Contact the Gaudiya Math and Iskcon where you may partake endless discussions about Krishna without being born in a brahmin family.

Maha Bhagavat Vaisnava devotees exist within this world and give the opportunity to people all over the world to be initiated into the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Sampradaya and develop all the good qualities of Vaisnava and Brahmin under the guidance of pure self realized souls.

On the following website you may download and read many books in English and Hindi written by the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan, the direct followers of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

From Iskcon you may purchase 'Sri Chaitanya Caritamrta'. A highly enlightening book. Or read it on the Vedabase (software and website).

I am a devout hindu brahmin and I fully agree with you and confirm my faith that Krishna is the God incarnated and Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The hindu brahmin priests misinterpreted the caste system and prohibited people from studying religious scriptures and performing religious duties. You have every right to read the original scriptures of all the hindu religious scriptures. You also have fullest right to perform puja in your own way before any deity of your choice.

it must be difficult having such a hunger for debate and knowledge to be denied.

i am sorry the indian christians have given you a hard time of course you must compare and debate the issues, how else is a man to find a good path?

i do know that jesus spoke specifically here to claim divinity, the reaction of the priests after gives good clues as to the audacity of the claim.

krishna seems to be making the same claim but i am not sure as this is clouded by the reincarnation issue not present in christianity according to hinduism are we all come into being at the beginning of time?

happy to be corrected i know very little about hinduism

This is like FAQ in R&S.

god is unique and incorporeal. Jesus, krishna, Ram are not god, they represent different virtues of god who is complete. God is icon for perfection in everything.

Jesus stands for compassion.

Krushna stands for joy without attachment.

Ram stands for power with passion.

All religions were formed for keeping humanity alive and continual.

over a period of time the rituals got gratified and we started believing them as religion. This has created all the troubles.

Let us all strive to take real religion to sustain humanity.

Ignorance is the cause of all misery. Ignorance is the cause of all wickedness; and knowledge will make the world good. Knowledge will remove all misery. Knowledge will make us free. This is the idea of Jnana-Yoga: knowledge will make us free! What knowledge? Chemistry? Physics? Astronomy? Geology? They help us a little, just a little. But the chief knowledge is that of your own nature. "Know thyself." You must know what you are, what your real nature is. You must become conscious of that infinite nature within. Then your bondages will burst. Jnana Yoga by Swami Vivekananda

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4 : 4-6

how to wipe out the religion arrogance and caste arrogance .

it is for the reasons of wiping out the Religious arrogance only that lord krishna has mentioned the following in SHREEMAD BHAGWAT GITA;

Chapter 4, Verse 6.

Although I am unborn and My transcendental body never deteriorates, and although I am the Lord of all sentient beings, I still appear in every millennium in My original transcendental form.

Chapter 4, Verse 7.

Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion--at that time I descend Myself.

Chapter 4, Verse 8.

In order to deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of religion, I advent Myself millennium after millennium.

Chapter 4, Verse 9.

One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna.

Further it is for the reasons of wiping out caste arrogance only that the lord has mentioned the following

Chapter 18, Verse 40.

There is no being existing, either here or among the demigods in the higher planetary systems, which is freed from the three modes of material nature.

Chapter 18, Verse 41.

Brahmanas, ksatriyas, vaisyas and sudras are distinguished by their qualities of work, O chastiser of the enemy, in accordance with the modes of nature.

Chapter 18, Verse 42.

Peacefulness, self-control, austerity, purity, tolerance, honesty, wisdom, knowledge, and religiousness--these are the qualities by which the brahmanas work.

Chapter 18, Verse 43.

Heroism, power, determination, resourcefulness, courage in battle, generosity, and leadership are the qualities of work for the ksatriyas.

Chapter 18, Verse 44.

Farming, cow protection and business are the qualities of work for the vaisyas, and for the sudras there is labor and service to others.

Chapter 18, Verse 45.

By following his qualities of work, every man can become perfect. Now please hear from Me how this can be done.

Chapter 18, Verse 46.

By worship of the Lord, who is the source of all beings and who is all-pervading, man can, in the performance of his own duty, attain perfection.

THE LORD HAS FURTHER MENTIONED THAT; IN ORDER TO BECOME ABLE TO WIPE OUT THE ABOVE ARROGANCES ONE NEEDS TO EARN AND GAIN THE SECRET SACRED AND RELIGIOUS KMOWLEDGE ( power and ability ) OF SAME; FROM A PRACTISING BRAHM RISHI TATVA VETA SANT.

You cannot wipe out arrogance in others, only in yourself.

"1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good."

We may try to reach those who are in anger, or who control education for their own purposes. But these men may only be in it for profit. The Bible commands us to seek truth always--if one stands in the way of that truth, if he blocks the search, if he holds the keys to heaven but suffers none to enter, can he be called a brother?

I mourn for your pain. May your search for truth be blessed.
