It is useless to serve God; and what profit is it that we have kept his charge? (Malachi 3:14) An American Translation.

"Today, many people draw the same conclusion. Led on by materialistic desires, they view God's purpose as unattainable and his laws as no longer applicable. To them, the preaching of the good news news is a waste of time and a source or irritation. The driving force behind such ideas goes back to the garden of Eden. It was Satan who persuaded Eve to dis regard the real value of the wonderful life Jehovah had given her and disdain His approval. Today, Satan eggs people on to believe that nothing is to be gained by doing God's will. However, Eve and her husband discovered that losing God's favour meant losing their lives. Those who now follow their bad example will soon come to realise the same bitter truth" i.e. armageddon. Genesis 3:1-7, 17-19

Not at all it makes completely no sense as the writer who spoke this / wrote it is taking the Bibles quotes and making them more scary and way out of proportion to suit his or her own needs.

They ate from the forbidden tree true and were punished true. And then he goes on to say if humanity do the same we will cause the end of the Earth I think he is taking it a bit too far of track.

He is doing what a lot fo people do. He is taking parts of the BIble altering the intended message and hoping to cause panic and for people to follow what he wants now what the BIble is actually telling and teaching.

Way to misquote the bible.

The ACTUAL quote, IN CONTEXT, of Malachi 3:14 (NIV)

"You have said, 'It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty?"

Malachi 1:1 (NIV) "An oracle: The word of the Lord to Israel through Malachi."

Did you read that? The Book of Malachi was written to tell Israel of its wrongdoings and warn it to repent of its ways.

"they view God's purpose as unattainable and his laws as no longer applicable."

Just as we don't believe that Santa's purpose of personally delivering presents to every child in the world in one night is attainable, and we don't worry about whether we've been "good" enough to deserve a particular gift.

Can't you get your head round the fact that WE DO NOT BELIEVE THERE IS A GOD and therefore have no views on "His" non-existent purposes or "laws" made up by men in "His" name.

Boaz, Genesis 2 v 17 - But the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:

So, not everything is 'literal'. eg. "Curiosity killed the cat".

Surah 74 v 5 - "Pollution shun !" (the Glorious Qur'an - a continuation)

St. Matthew 24 : 22. Come Jesus, Come.

If someone is an atheist they are not going to be concerned about anything that may or may not be said in the bible or any other religious publication as they have no belief in a deity of any kind.

lol, your biblical illiteracy and blatant misquoting is astounding.

(KJV) Malachi 3:14 - "Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?"

...And let's read the PREVIOUS VERSES -- to follow the subject, topic, and context of said verse:

Malachi 3:8-13 - "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts. Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?"

identical intent as there may be optimistic discrimination closer to the disabled : folks that battle extra and and endure greater than they will have to beneath duresses past their manipulate require extra support. and let's accept it public opinion within the unintelligent is enormously more likely to be an excessively regressive and poor broadside uninformed opinion approximately Islam being evil somehow and that extrapolating to a notion of all Muslims additionally being Evil somehow. that is unfairly and closely discriminatory and demands optimistic redress. The thick bastards aren't serving to they aren't those who will pave the way in which for a extra inclusive societies they aren't those who're all set for the assured time one day whilst all persons epidermis tones are gentle brown and whilst notion styles are now not geographically targeted however disparate.... however that is the thick bastards for ya any proposal they placed to 'the longer term' is egocentric proposal in their possess long run certainly not of mankind's. i will be able to ridicule any christian who holds a literal notion of their holy booklet that notion merits that reaction i will be able to in a similar fashion lay into any Muslim who prattles on approximately allah - i am most of the time derogatory closer to any situations of notion in interventionist deities chiefly ones with human types or human persona developments i am addressing their dogmatic beguilement to unfastened them style disenfranchisments they can't see as unhealthy for them however wherein the road is drawn and that is the essential bit they're inaccurate however neither Christians nor Muslims are EVIL An atheist calling it as he sees it Buff.

I prefer this from Genesis 19:

5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

It's OK to gang rape my daughters but not my guests. LOL

.

Get yourself a REAL Bible (i.e. KING JAMES )

What you are quoting is bullshit - - -

Malachi 3:14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
