There is a big difference. Trust me on this one. Science makes use of functional explanations. Religion makes use of teleological explanations. As I have said before, "they use different methodologies". For example, a Panda's sesamoid bone (part of its wrist) is used as an opposable thumb. The most obvious question for anyone to ask (seeing a Pander for the first time) "What is that thumb thing for?" This is begging a teleological or 'end purpose' type of explanation. The assumption is that it was DESIGNED by some one for a purpose. Science on the other hand asks for a FUNCTIONAL explanation. In other words, the thumb like object serves a function. This becomes obvious when we see a Pander eating. I am not saying one explanation is better than the other. All I am saying is that science and religion use different methodologies. If you do not recognise this fact then you will be going around in circles. Again, you would need to define 'universal laws of nature' in philosophy it can have a variety of meanings. The basic working principle of science is NOT the nature of anything can be known from the universal laws of nature. From a scientific point of view the laws of nature are not universal they are inductive. This makes them non-universal.

Religion sets out article of faith to be believed in, which require no proof, only belief. Many religions claim to be the truth and demand that this is accepted as a tenet of faith.

Science is a set of ideas which are open to daily testing, and if a test fails, then those ideas are revised or rejected. Sometimes they continue to be used in situations they are known to work. Science does not claim to be true, but it stands and falls by how useful it is.

There are some conflicts between Christianity and science because the ideas set out by science regarding the origins of the universe and our species do not match Christian dogma. Modern physics is actually in quite close accord with some beliefs, Zen Buddhism being one of them.

For me religion mean to believe in God The Saint Trinity, Saint Mary, Angels and Saints. God in all, whant the goodness of men without condition, the science not every time.

The places of the world ,where men are suffering, are because the rezultes of science are't used every where, only where there are money.

Today the situation is very bed, there are situation when the science makes toxic food, toxic medication, toxic clothes,.... and the good intention( correct) men buy them(not stole them) and don't know that he buy poizon... In many cases the science today is an industry of money, don't serve the goodness of men.

But everything emanate from God.

Material science is just the childish attempt of imperfect human beings(called scientist)trying to find explanation of the origin of the creations and its interactions, base in use of their imperfect senses. How long it will take for them to find out the Absolute Truth, that is beyond of their mental speculations?

If a child want to know who is his father, he can go and ask every man in this world if he is his father, that will take quite some time and effort. But if the child go to his mother, his mother will take him immediately to his father. So the matter here is the by accepting an authority we save time and energy. The Vedas are like mother, everything is there, real science is there. The materialistic scientist are just like child bewilder by the illusory energy of the Lord.

Well, the only reason that science actually clashes with religion is because science demands proof and therefore an explanation behind everything.

religion believes by God and science believes by logical things. for example religion believes human beings made by God at the opposite science says no human beings were developed from lower beings through natural process of changes this is known as theory of evolution.

Religion is based on Chosen belief or Belief acquired from environment.

Science is based on Physical Absolute Truth.

Religion is from personal level of Truth.

The difference is Life.

Religion is about Life while Science is about matter.

A PERSON OF SCIENCE TAKES THE FACTS AND DRAWS A CONCLUSION. A PERSON OF RELIGION TAKES THE CONCLUSION AND MAKES THE FACTS FIT THEIR NEEDS.
