roman catholicism gives us the Bible, the protestants came from the roman catholicism, they took the Bible from the catholicism and they edited the bible with different words in order not to be so catholic, for example catholic versions use bishop and others just say old man, they say it's the same but many protestant churches don't have bishops, they have just pastors and the pastors in the Bible are leaders ok but in specific pastors as leaders of the early churches, I don't find the word pastor but rather we can find deacon and bishop

Bravo!

Yes, and Protestants have killed plenty of us, but since that was 500 years ago, we've moved on. Does Jesus approve of you holding a grudge? I thought he was about forgiveness? Maybe not for some Protestants.

The university system is actually founded on the earlier Academy of Athens.

Mahler was Jewish but was forced to convert because of fears of anti-Semitism.

You try to attribute the works of individual Roman Catholics to some sort of collective "force". Almost all of these are individual forces which have little to do with the religion itself except as a potential inspiration for their work.

Declared Christianity to be the only legal cult of the Empire, then spent 1500 years burning books, burning "witches," crusades, torturing Jews and Pagans, Inquisitions, suppressing science, set back civilization by at least a millennium, continues to rape children, lie about condoms and AIDS, suppress stem cell research, lie about a "son of god"...

Catholic Church: The reason the western world is so screwed up.

Messed up the world's understanding of true Christianity by trying to create a universal system of belief dictated by a Pope who pretends to be God when he is only and extension of a fallen Roman empire. Mixed paganism and original Christianity and confused the entire world with idolatry, false dates for holidays, and rituals that are meaningless to true Christians. Then there is the issue of the crusades and the Spanish Inquisition for which the Catholic church has full ownership.

Well...besides all THAT...they allow God to use the priests and bishops to transform Himself into the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ in communion everyday, for our physical and spiritual nourishment.

And they provide for us a time tested, 2000 year old theology that stands on the foundation of the rock Christ built the Church on, rather than the shaky foundation of man's personal interpretation of Scripture (see: all Protestant denominations). They give us a Church to depend on, one that is divinely guided by the Holy Spirit.

Oh...and the New Testament. They wrote that. ;)

They have put a heavy yoke on all their members by forcing them to follow what they teach instead of following Jesus and His Truth!
