Regardless of my current religious affiliation I feel Dionysus has been calling me incessantly. I imagine lines of satyrs dancing and playing flutes behind Dionysus who drunkenly stumbles through cities luring away everyone with his promise of ecstasy and joy. When I think of him I have an urge to go into a dancing frenzy surrounding myself with lovely surrounding and listening to hypnotic drum beats. I feel welling up within me a desire to shout his names and sing without a care in the world and drop all my concerns.
These feelings burn within especially when I listen to music like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSaGjZKmEag

Can someone give some insights into this God ?
When I think of his name I want to swing my head back and forth ecstatically and I imagine myself
among his maenads and followers and sharing pleasant conversation with his teacher Silenus.

Dionysus was the ancient Greek god of altered states of the mind. He was naturally the god of alcohol as represented by wine, due to its intoxicating effects which alter the mental state of those who choose to partake, and so one of his symbols is the grape vine. He was also the god of madness, which is why he was always followed around by the crazy maenads. Less well known, he was the god of theater--because in theater, people put on a mask and become someone they're not.

Dancing in a frenzy to hypnotic drum beats sounds right up Dionysus's alley. Pour out a couple of libations to him, pour a couple into yourself, and get to worshiping.

As I remember from the "Bacchae" -- whilst Dionysus and his maenads dance in drunken frenzy, the maenads attack Dionysus and tear him aside, limb from limb in a bloody, drunken frenzy.... I remember the Greek word "spragmos" which potential to tear by utilising hand into little bloody products, getting used interior the Greek play. It replaced right into a gory scene. that's recommended to re-think of starting to be Dionysus on your delusion.

Don't you know that all pagan deity's come from Babylon or Babylonian origins. Dionysus = Osiris = Babylonian Astarte or Ishtar = Easter in American English.

Tammuz and Ishtar, of Osiris and Isis, of Dionysus and Basilica, the equivalent of Proserpine-Core

Im not a pagan but a True Christian. You must know why you believe what you believe.
