How come in R.E in school, we get taught that all religion is correct? (well i did) Wouldnt a christian teacher, teaching people about other religions be kind of like betrayal due to spreading the word of another god? And wouldnt they also be bias towards theyre own religion when teaching others about ALL religions ?

I know that in school we must be taught about everything, so we ourselves can choose our religion, but just abit curious on it :S

It is illogical to claim that contradictory statements are all true. If Christianity is true, then how can Islam be true, too?

I think religious instruction is a very important part of education. In fact, I don't think students should leave high school without knowing something about the major religions out there. As a Christian, I take a firm position in my faith, but I have also studied about other religions like Islam. If you know about other religions it will help you understand cultures, politics, history, and current events.

I used to have a book called "Know the Difference." It discusses the various religions and philosophies out there, then shows how they compare and contrast to Christianity. It is written from a Christian perspective, but it looks at the other religions in a fair and objective way.

I hope you are not taught that all religion is correct. What you should be taught is the facts about religions, and how they are expressed in practice, such as worship, actions, rites of passage - that sort of thing.

The teaching might extend to looking at evidence for a religion (for instance that Jesus is mentioned by the 'independent' Roman historian Josephus, which is evidence for his actual existence) but unless you are in a 'faith school' you should not be taught that one religion is correct and others wrong.

Did they also tell you about all those false prophets. Not all relgions are not correct but you can find out just by taking a closer look at them. . Thousands of denominations all claiming to be the true church and the others are wrong,

Read some quotes from our forefathers on the subject.

homas Paine (1737-1809)

Anglo-American political philosopher, whose writings influenced the American Revolution (1775-1783) the French Revolution (1789-1799), and the freethought movements ever since

Any system of religion that has anything in it that shocks the mind of a child, cannot be a true system.

The question is so super, it turns into impossible to respond to, as somebody who does no longer have confidence in God, final time i exploit a capital with the aid of the way, i locate all people who have confidence faith could study as fact very troublesome. it is suitable rather to creationists, and that i undergo in recommendations having an exceptionally extraordinary coversation some years in the past with a strongly non secular guy in this concern. He pushed aside all twentieth century technology as evil, yet might ask human beings to instruct the heating up if he have been chilly, he might push aside the existence of the dinosaurs, pointing out that they were positioned there with the aid of the devil to reason guy to sin, and grew to become into confident that the Earth grew to become into 4,000 years old. He additionally believed that he grew to become right into a right away descendant of Adam & Eve, even the main non secular guy or woman could settle for that it is impossible with the aid of utilising undemanding good judgment. Creationism, like the Earth being flat is a very disproved concept, it has no place in colleges, or everywhere for that count number, it rather is as actual as Santa Claus relationship the the teeth Fairy. If any faith is taught in any respect in colleges, and that i've got confidence faith could never study, it would be in basic terms in historic context on the inspiration of that which will properly be shown. something is errant nonsense, and that i surely does no longer choose for any baby in my family participants taught such issues.

Actually in the U.K. it is a legal requirement to teach Christianity, - proslytising is not allowed.

In reality a very few Christians actually teach the subject.

Just my observations when I went to school to learn the words of fools.

I have no problem with education. People should learn what others believe or don't believe and be able to make choices. This is an example of free will that I embrace.

There is no harm if comparitive study of religions is presented to the students and left on them to follow the eight one after little guidance. Actually religions protect human being from bad behaviour and eagre to follow the humble things.

No religion is correct, because, according to at least one other religion "You're wrong because we are right." Yet another religion would say "No, you're wrong and we are right", and so on. So every one ends up being wrong.

It's "Religious education" not "Christianity education" or "Islam education". If the teacher was noticeably biased they would not hire them.
